00:00Black Lesbian Gives Dem Rep Ro Khanna an Earful Over Men in Women's Locker Room Stance
00:05Singer Tish Hyman directly confronted Representative Ro Khanna at a recent California town hall
00:11over his support for policies allowing men who identify as women to access women's bathrooms
00:16and locker rooms. Hyman, a black lesbian from Los Angeles, spoke out after being banned from
00:21her gym following repeated objections to a man entering the women's locker room.
00:25Video from the town hall shows Hyman telling the individual,
00:29Stay out of the women's locker room. We don't want it. She also posted footage on Instagram,
00:35explaining that multiple women had previously reported the man to gym staff, who allegedly
00:39took no action. The individual was later identified as Alexis Black, accused of assaulting his ex-wife
00:46before transitioning. Hyman criticized Khanna's support of a Supreme Court amicus brief, warning
00:51that banning males from female sports and locker rooms could lead to invasive general checks.
00:57She argued that in the 26 states with such laws, no such checks have occurred, while real harassment
01:04continues. Here in California, women, including myself, are being harassed by naked men in our
01:10locker rooms, she said, noting that the man in her gym had a history of domestic violence.
01:16Khanna acknowledged Hyman's experience, but defended his position on transgender access.
01:20He stated that harassment and domestic violence should be prosecuted, but argued that transgender
01:26individuals should be allowed to use facilities corresponding with their gender identity.
01:32Now, if that person is harassing or a threat, then of course they need to be prosecuted, he said.
01:39Hyman pressed her broader objection, addressing the audience.
01:42State law is not protecting any of the women in here. Trans are not women, they are men.
01:48Yet their pee is intact, and they're in women's prisons now, are and killing them. And it's going
01:54on in silence. This is going to stop with me. The exchange highlights ongoing debates over gender
02:00identity policies, public safety, and protections for women in spaces like gyms, schools, and prisons.
