00:00okay so tonight we're back at this chase for like 75 wins or something like that for the
00:08Oklahoma City Thunder I mean first we gotta look at the spread here 14 and a half against Phoenix
00:13total of 255 and a half they've been the very best team in the NBA and I do want to go through some
00:21of their props in terms of wins in just a minute but first let's get your opinion on this game
00:25catch me up with where things stand back to backs and all that such I know Phoenix been up and down
00:29a little this year too yeah Phoenix has been up and down but I think they've been criminally
00:34underrated if you could tell from their 15 8 and 1 against the spread numbers they're typically
00:39rated a little bit lower than Vegas thinks this is a team that's battled some injuries but still has
00:45fought through it right Devin Booker not playing Jalen Green not playing Isaiah Livers even now
00:50Booker's questionable for this game which kind of scares me but even like if you just think about
00:55the Suns team there I think they're defying a lot of uh the metrics right and when you have a player
01:01as elite as Devin Booker he can kind of mask some of their inefficiencies right 12th and offensive
01:05and 12th and defensive rating um they give up too many points to um to the guard positions and they're
01:11not strong enough in the paint in my in my opinion and now they're playing against a Thunder team that
01:16god I feel like they're never gonna lose it's kind of sad it's kind of embarrassing I guess to them
01:21to say their one loss came uh at the hands of the Portland Trailblazers you wish it would come from
01:25literally anyone else uh than the Trailblazers maybe against the Timberwolves you'd be a little
01:29bit more excited but um this is a really interesting match right because neither team is remotely close
01:36to full strength it's a 14 and a half 15 point spread and it's an NBA cup game I think the cup
01:42probably is going to mean a little bit more to the Thunder than it will to the Suns so if Devin Booker is
01:47not 100 and they get down early I think it could be one of those games where they pull the plug early
01:51all right I do want to take a look before we do props at the total wins and the odds for the season
01:59for Oklahoma City so uh 75 wins is six to one that's the projection right now as it stands most feel
02:07that they won't hit that that that number Brad will somewhere between 71 to 73 but there are other
02:15numbers that I've seen that have them winning more than that I mean is there value in jumping on a
02:19six to one at 75 wins 73 the all-time record I just feel like 75 is set there as the perfect number
02:29because it's one past the record and I feel like if they are that dominant late in the season you're
02:35going to see guys like SGA you'll see guys like J Will who was banged up and missed time part of the
02:40season really take some time off and kind of get healthy throughout the end of the season and
02:45really make a push for another NBA finals I don't know I don't think I'm gonna bet that there was a
02:50there was a 70 price out earlier in the season that was really nice but right now we're 24 games in and
02:55we can't we can't bet it I don't think yeah do you like any props in this one tonight on any of the
03:00players yeah I do I like Aaron Wiggins over uh eight uh was it now I think it's nine and a half
03:06points eight and a half is totally fine if you find it that's what I was on nine and a half is fine
03:10he's coming back from injury well came back an injury uh about five games ago and his utilization
03:16was kind of low but if you see that number it's starting to pick up a little bit more with this
03:21game possibly being a blowout I think him coming off the bench is a really vital piece also gone over
03:25and in eight of his last 10 games all right Brad we'll take a quick break Brad's gonna stick around
03:32with us we'll discuss all of the NBA rumors out there including Giannis also one quick note for
03:38the NFL before we get back to Brad Thomas Jaden Daniels uh who is officially out this week for the
03:44commanders the commanders are saying that he could return at some point either next week or maybe
03:48for the end of the season so we'll see but Daniel's been banged up all year long in Washington
03:53clearly out of it okay let's get back to Brad Thomas here one more game in the NBA and then we're
03:58going to go over some news and notes uh from the league as well let's take care of this one
04:02we've got the Lakers taking on the Spurs Spurs playing really good basketball even without Giannis
04:07they're getting seven tonight or I'm sorry without Wemby 239 and a half I get those guys confused
04:11sometimes total is 239 and a half uh what do you think do you feel like the Lakers can win this one
04:19and cover easily you have any leans here this line's crazy because if memory serves me correct
04:25this already moved like two points since the open uh back on Monday like and what's weird is there's
04:31no additional news right we knew Wemby was going to be I know there was a slight chance and I don't
04:36think the books were overly protective of the price I think the Lakers win this game though but the
04:40Spurs have been good without Wemby eight and three uh without Wemby this season but if you look at the
04:45teams they've played outside of Orlando and Denver not really like these big marketable NBA finals
04:53contender contending teams um but the Lakers I just feel like offensively have too much firepower
04:59for a team that's really going to lean on uh Castle and and De'Aaron Fox as their primary scorers
05:06and it's in LA yeah I think the Lakers win I just don't know about taking the seven probably could be
05:11like a five maybe six point victory okay fair enough uh any uh interesting props that you like
05:17tonight in the game too let's take a look at these Luca always has some of the highest scoring
05:21props in the NBA 32 and a half assists eight and a half LeBron is 18 and a half six and a half assists
05:27and then Austin Reeves has had a fantastic season as you know Brad 23 and a half points two and a
05:31half threes so those are six options and he leans on those I actually I'm gonna pass on all of those
05:37guys because I think they're all a little bit either too high or they just have too much volume
05:42to fade right like you can't fade Luca and you certainly can't fade Austin Reeves even though his
05:47utilization is gonna be down with LeBron back and healthy but he's just been playing such good
05:52basketball I actually would lean closer to Castle over uh 13 or 14 and a half points depending on
05:57what number you get he's averaging uh since Wimby's been out or while in Wimby's been injured uh in his
06:03career Castle's been averaging 16 and a half points and the Lakers are just really terrible at defending
06:08guards 26th in the NBA and points allowed to guards both shooting and point guards and I was
06:14initially going to say De'Aaron Fox because it's a good buy low spot for De'Aaron Fox but if you look
06:19at De'Aaron Fox in big game situations sometimes he takes him over but more times than not he is the
06:24facilitator he is the creator which leaves Castle more than available to hit his 14 or 15 points
06:30whatever number you need so the NBA Cup right are you following this I guess you are right like I am not
06:36at all okay sees minus 130 to win this NBA Cup I mean the courts look really cool I'll give it that but
06:43beyond that I just don't have a ton of interest uh Knicks plus 360 Magic hey you're Magic they're
06:48five to one Lakers seven to one Spurs 16 to one I know the Spurs are not winning this NBA Cup uh so
06:54are this the amount of are there six teams left is that is that where we're at here I don't yeah I'm
06:59not even where we're at I don't know if there's a ton of value on anybody except okay see uh I thought
07:05it's always fun because you want to see teams that have a lot of young role players because this money
07:09means so much to them and the superstars play extra hard to get that extra money for those guys
07:14Thunder even though they're crazy talented have a lot of really young role players where this money
07:22is going to mean a lot to them and dominance I would put a little bit on the Orlando Magic but we
07:27have to just kind of monitor Franz Wagner right if if Franz is a really just a two-week injury
07:32they'll have him back by the semifinals maybe the finals which is massive for them it'll be the first
07:37time I think what this season maybe they've played two or three games with the core three available
07:41and what's really good about this uh the injuries that the Magic have had and make them more valuable
07:46five to one is that players like Anthony Black have had to step up and he's been having a tremendous
07:51season so far so the Bucs have said that they are not going to trade Giannis Brad and Doc Rivers has
07:59said that Giannis has not asked for a trade so I wonder where you stand with this stuff especially
08:04with Doc Rivers who's been around for so long saying last week that he hasn't asked to leave
08:09do you think he was playing semantics where it wasn't him maybe his agent or something like that
08:14I mean it usually with this stuff where there's smoke there's fire but it's rare to see a team
08:19bark back like this if they're going to actually trade a player it appear the Bucs are not
08:25I think Giannis like in his heart wants to stay but I also think his mind is telling him that this team
08:31their championship window is gone and even if you see the comments that he made about these players
08:37need to take basketball a little bit more seriously like that is some really high level stuff from a
08:43player who's desperate to stay he's basically saying that I need you guys to focus so we can get better
08:48we can improve because I don't want to leave I think they have to trade him though this is the best
08:53value you're going to get out of Giannis and you have to see it like we see it us fans and us
08:57analysts that if you're the Milwaukee Bucs your championship window's closed go cash in because
09:03you can get a king's ransom for him let's take a look real quick uh at some Calci odds and we're
09:09going to look at these these prediction odds right now on uh Anthony Davis there's some talk that he
09:16could go to at the trade deadline Brad uh to stay with Davis 52 percent Pistons is a 20
09:23on probability odds Hawks 18 Raptors 16 Bulls 5 it does make some sense that they would move AD
09:32I just think what these prediction odds show on Calci is that we really don't know where he's
09:37going to end up when you have three teams with approximately 20 it feels like it could be one of
09:42those three though I love I love the Detroit opportunity there they're playing good basketball
09:46it seems like he could really be helped there you know I think the 52 just kind of tells you
09:51it's not so much about Dallas it's about the other teams who could find their asking price worth it
09:57or not right he's 33 years old set to make 58 and a half million next year so not only do you need to
10:04find a team that can absorb his contract or trade matching contracts or expiring contracts you also
10:08need to find a team that doesn't that has an allotment of picks and doesn't mind getting rid of one
10:14maybe two um and that's why I thought the Pistons kind of made sense right they can get rid of Tobias
10:19Harris contract uh doesn't match up fully but um it's still a little comparable and they can maybe
10:25give up one first but it's also disruptive right because he's going to change the dynamics of your
10:31team and might not be available for the amount of games that you expect them to be Brad great stuff
