00:00Hey, let's head up to the six in Toronto.
00:01The mighty heater in town to take on the Toronto Raptors.
00:04This line overnight, at least the FanDuel's minus two and a half.
00:07But now you're seeing most outlets, Joe, minus ones and minus one and a half across the board.
00:11But we do have a tasty total in this one.
00:15Two thirty nine and a half, Joe.
00:17Heat, Raptors, playoffs.
00:20What's that spread line tonight?
00:21Well, we're at the final week of the regular season, Donnie.
00:24And there is a lot at stake in this game here north of the border as these two teams are
00:32going to get ready.
00:33It's the first of two straight games that they're going to have here against one another.
00:37And you got Toronto sitting at the number seven seed right now in a very crowded Eastern Conference standings, Donnie,
00:44because there is not a lot separating the six seed, which is out of the play in and the seven
00:51or eight seed for that matter.
00:53Even nine seed with Orlando.
00:55So there is a lot here at stake.
00:57And of course, Miami wants to get it going heading into the postseason.
01:03So Miami is healthy.
01:05It looks like here tonight.
01:06Norm Powell, whatever that problem, respiratory issue he was having, appears to be better.
01:11So it looks like we'll have a full complement here for the Miami Heat.
01:16And they've battled these two teams.
01:18I don't know that there's a lot separating these two, Donnie.
01:21And I think maybe the best way to look at this is I wouldn't expect a whole lot of defense.
01:25I think we're going to see a whole lot of offense here tonight.
01:28I would not sweat out an under in this game.
01:31Yeah, high total on the board, but actually not even the highest total.
01:34There's a game tonight at 249 and a half NBA.
01:37Let's get to the next one here.
01:38Eight o'clock.
01:39Talking about jockeying for position here in the Eastern Conference like we just did here with the Miami Heat and
01:43the Toronto Raptors.
01:44We got a good one.
01:45The Hornets traveling up to Boston to take on the Celtics here.
01:48Line overnight, Joe, right around six in the marketplace.
01:51We do see a slight change as the favorite Boston Celtics go from six to minus five and a half
01:56at most outlets here.
01:57219 and a half is the total.
01:59Hornets, Celtics, Boston.
02:01What's that spread line?
02:03Well, and as I'm sitting here, Donnie, I'm watching the board light up right now with Charlotte money coming in.
02:08So I'm even seeing some four and a halves popping up here.
02:11And it makes sense, right, because what exactly are the Celtics playing for here?
02:16What's the motivation of the final week besides don't do anything stupid, given the fact that Detroit solidified and locked
02:23in the number one seed last night with their win?
02:27So they're locked in.
02:28There's really nothing for Boston to do except sit back and wait for the postseason at this point.
02:34So the Hornets, on the other hand, again, they're in that whole play-in area there that they've got to
02:40keep winning as many games as possible.
02:42But could be maybe one of the greatest turnarounds outside of the Clippers this year that we have seen.
02:48I think it makes sense the money's coming in on the Hornets.
02:51That's the way I would look in this one.
02:53We got some reverse line movement late tonight.
02:56That's special, Joe.
02:57We love to talk about the 11 o'clock game, which nobody will watch.
03:00And the NBA is like, you know what?
03:01It's cool.
03:01No ratings here for a big game.
03:03We love to see it here.
03:04Rockets going to take on the Phoenix Suns, Joe, overnight.
03:06We have the Rockets at a lot of outlets, about minus two, minus two and a half favorites here.
03:10Not anymore.
03:11You see the graphic.
03:12The Phoenix Suns, minus one to minus one and a half across the board, and a total of 220 and
03:18a half.
03:18Rockets, Suns out in the desert.
03:21Ah, and finally, Kevin Durant gets the return to Phoenix here.
03:25They played back in November, Donnie, but he wasn't with them and wasn't able to play.
03:30So, he'll be in this game here tonight.
03:33But interesting, right?
03:34Because the Rockets have won six in a row.
03:37They've won eight of ten.
03:39And let's face it, it's not far-fetched for them to move up this week to the number three seed
03:44in the Western Conference with four games left here.
03:47And the Suns had a rough road trip, man.
03:50Let's be honest.
03:51It was not good for them.
03:52They have not been good on the road, but they have been very good at home here.
03:58So, don't trust the Rockets as a favorite on the road.
04:01But the good thing is, Donnie, they're not a favorite here on the road.
04:05Phoenix is the home favorite, which is why it's got me leaning towards the Houston Rockets here.
04:11NBA news and notes.
04:12Big injuries and some even bigger spreads tonight in the association for a Tuesday.
04:17But let's start with those Chicago Bulls.
04:19When Michael Jordan, in the late 1990s, decided to hang it up and say, you know what?
04:23I'm done with the Chicago Bulls, six championships in seven years.
04:26I'm going to move on.
04:27The Bulls are probably like, ah, we'll rebuild a little bit.
04:29And eventually we'll get back to playing Chicago basketball.
04:32It's been, it feels like, 30 years since Chicago's played any basketball at this point.
04:36And it looks like we're going to hit that reset button once again.
04:39Why?
04:40Yahoo Sports with a tweet breaking.
04:42The Bulls have fired.
04:42EVP of basketball operations, Arturis Karnosivas and general manager, Mark Eversley, Pershams
04:49Sharania here.
04:51Reset button once again in Chicago.
04:53Don't they reset every couple of years here?
04:55Yeah, I don't know.
04:57I mean, the Rhine store for, you know, you're the history of the Chicago Bulls with what you
05:02guys used to be and how you be and what you have become is just laughable here.
05:07I don't know what took so long, Donnie.
05:09I really, really don't six seasons, uh, under this front office here.
05:14And it took you that long to figure it out.
05:16Like I just awful on so many levels.
05:19It really is.
05:20Like you take a look at like basketball starved and craving cities.
05:23Like Chicago is one of them.
05:25New York is the other.
05:26New York never wins a championship.
05:27And now neither does outside of you had the single best player in the history of the sport.
05:31Once you lost them, you're an insignificant franchise.
05:33Kind of crazy how that works here.
05:35But I'll tell you this, the Detroit Pistons and the bad boy era.
05:38They used to win a lot of championships, used to cause a lot of problems in the 80s and
05:42the 90s.
05:43Could they be back for a playoff run?
05:45Well, they won't be unless Cade Cunningham comes back.
05:48And by the way, he's nearing a return and could be back before the playoffs begin, says
05:53Sham Sharania.
05:54How about that, Joe?
05:55Piston time.
05:57Well, and that's good news.
05:59I mean, because Donnie, I would hate that you, you dominated.
06:02So he was a huge part of why the Pistons locked in the number one seed in the East.
06:07I mean, who are we kidding?
06:08I mean, and then to have to go at it without him would be a shame because you want to
06:13be
06:13100 percent, Donnie, when you attack this, because nobody has gone from rags to riches
06:19more than the Detroit Pistons this year.
06:22So I'm glad.
06:23I mean, I love Cade Cunningham and he really is the engine that makes that team go.
06:27So it'll be great to get him back on the court for the NBA.
06:31It'll also be great.
06:32Getting him back on the court, but also one of those young, shining superstars in the
06:37NBA on a great, young, talented team, the San Antonio Spurs.
06:40Here's a clip here talking about Wemby's injury from last night.
06:44First things first, what do you know about Victor?
06:46What can you tell us?
06:47Nothing.
06:48That's not even placating anything.
06:50I'm not sure.
06:51I know he came back and he just didn't finish.
06:55And so at halftime, I was told he wasn't coming back.
06:58And I, honest to God, I haven't heard anything else up to this point.
07:02So clearly no sense of where it stands with him?
07:06No, I think it would be a positive that he felt like he could come back and he played
07:09the last four or five minutes of the half.
07:11So that's a positive from my perspective, but I'd have nothing.
07:15Now, Joe, I have no idea who that guy is.
07:17That could be the coach, could be the general manager, could be a fan they pulled out of
07:20the stands answering some questions, but love the voice here.
07:23That's the voice of somebody that matters, Joe.
07:26Yeah, and it is.
07:27And that is the coach.
07:29And I got to tell you, it was halfway in the second quarter, Donnie, when he hit the floor
07:35and he, it wasn't so much the shoulders, he was holding like his, like his ribs.
07:40And I think that was what they were concerned with was a rib contusion.
07:44I don't, I don't know what that is, but it looked like he, he not so much the shoulder
07:48as it was that he might've had a hard time breathing there.
07:51So hopefully it's nothing known.
07:53He's able to get back out there.
07:55Come on back when be here.
07:57And by the way, if we check a look at some of those award seasons here, sure.
08:0065 games will impact if you can win the MVP, but how about rookie of the year, Joe?
08:05We talked about it so many times already, whether it's predictive markets, FanDuel,
08:08DraftKings, whoever it might be.
08:10That market was heavily shifted during the season from Cooper Flagg to Con Caniple.
08:15Now back to Cooper Flagg, Joe.
08:18At a minus 210 price, Caniple is the dog now at a plus 150.
08:21Back and forth, back and forth.
08:22Is there time, Joe, for another back and forth or have the odds makers and the better spoken here?
08:28It's going to be Cooper Flagg.
08:30And you know what's ironic about that, Donnie, is that, listen, Cooper Flagg, the all-around game is just ridiculous.
08:36But the weakest part of his game is the three-point shooting, which is what Con Caniple is an absolute
08:42sharpshooter on.
08:44So he's got the all-around game.
08:46He's not a great three-point shooter yet.
08:48But Con Caniple is all about the three.
08:51So if we're talking rookie of the year, I tend to think that Cooper Flagg qualifies in a deserving favorite.
08:58Prime time game tonight.
09:00Ooh, this should be on NBA center stage.
09:03Now, one, they decide to bury it 1030, and maybe that's a good thing.
09:06When you talk about the thunder on the road to take on the Lakers, it's Luke, it's LeBron, it's Austin
09:10Reeves, it's SGA, MVPs across the board.
09:13Could this be a rematch that we see in the playoffs, Joe?
09:16Do you know this line opened up at minus 13 overnight and said, boy, that's a lot.
09:19People probably might be taking the Lakers.
09:21No, they're not.
09:22Look at today, this morning, Joe.
09:24The Lakers getting 16 and a half points from OKC.
09:30And by the way, it's not even a road game.
09:31The Lakers are at home, Joe.
09:34Yeah, and it's not like OKC's got a ton to play for here either, Dottie, which is hysterical.
09:41I mean, what, three games left?
09:42I mean, they have, what, a three-game lead on San Antonio?
09:45So it's, you know, now, you know, Wemby may not play.
09:50And this is just, this is going to be embarrassing across the board here for the Lakers.
09:56But I don't think OKC cares.
09:57I think OKC, any chance they can go into L.A. and make fun of the Lakers, they're going to
10:02do it.
10:03And I think that maybe 16 and a half is not, it's not high enough, Donnie.
10:09Something tells me this has got 30-point blowout written all over it.
10:12So, yeah, taking a look, too, at the betting markets here, like seven out of every 10 tickets still coming
10:18in here on OKC,
10:19which is why you had an overnight line of 13 ballooning up to 16 and a half.
10:23You've got to win this game by 17 points on the road to cover this number.
10:27We'll see if that happens tonight.
10:29We previewed it in our spread lines earlier today, Joe.
10:32The Hornets are in town to take on the Boston Celtics.
10:35Celtics ticket count around 65% in their favor.
10:38That line, Joe, opened up at six.
10:39Now we're seeing five and a half fives, and as you said, even seeing some four and a halfs in
10:43the marketplace.
10:45The Charlotte Hornets, one of those teams, it's almost like you can't quite figure out if you want to play
10:49them or not play them,
10:50because when they get hot from the three-point line, that's the ultimate equalizer.
10:53They're going up to Beantown tonight, Joe.
10:55It should be a good one.
10:56Yeah, it will be a good one here.
10:59I mean, obviously, the motivation factor for the Celtics now that Detroit has kind of locked it up there,
11:05and with that win last night, they're the number one seed.
11:09You've got Boston's going to fit right into the number two seed,
11:12and they are off and running here in the final week.
11:15But Charlotte is still battling here, and they have been, Donnie, and we've pointed it out.
11:20I mean, the best team since that calendar turned to 2026,
11:23they went from laughing stock to I don't want to play them early on in the postseason, Donnie.
11:29So Charlotte's still got a little something to play for here,
11:32and it's not a shock that they're getting the money, the early money here,
11:36pushing this line towards them.
11:38Let me ask you about this game next year, and it's an 11-point favorite.
11:42It's the Los Angeles Clippers, the game I don't care about, Joe.
11:44But we just talked about the odds market here to try to win a rookie of the year.
11:48Your coaches understand it.
11:50Your players understand it.
11:51The organization understands it here.
11:52So my approach would be, in the NFL, we watch Drake May,
11:56who was the leader in the clubhouse over Matthew Stafford with a game to go.
11:59You know what your only goal is, Mike Vrabel?
12:01Get this guy three touchdown passes or win an MVP.
12:03Vrabel went and decided to tank his young quarterback statistics,
12:06and Matthew Stafford threw a million touchdowns in the final week,
12:09ended up being the MVP.
12:11So my question to you is, how do you approach Cooper Flagg down the stretch at this point?
12:14Because you know as well as I do, they know he wants to be rookie of the year.
12:17That is a big deal.
12:18So should the offense flow through him?
12:20And also, Joe, how are we dealing with his points, his rebounds, and his assists,
12:24as opposed to just betting the game tonight?
12:27Yeah.
12:29He's going to play.
12:30He's the only option they have on this team.
12:34But the problem is, they're taking on a very motivated Clippers team,
12:38who is currently trying to lock into the eighth seed, Donnie.
12:42And that's important, because the seventh and eighth seed only have to win one game
12:47to make it into the playoffs.
12:49If they're lower than that, the Clippers, then they've got to play two,
12:53and Kawhi don't want to have to play two in a play-in.
12:55So they're going to have a very motivated Kawhi Leonard, probably making life miserable for Cooper Flagg here tonight.
13:03Interesting to see how it plays out, as Cooper Flagg is the favorite, as we talked about,
13:07to win the rookie of the year.
13:08But again, I mean, sometimes it always, Joe, goes back to football.
13:11I, again, and it comes sometimes with a loss that you bet, over one and a half touchdown passes from
13:15him.
13:16Like, dude, he's going to throw like four today, because that's the goal.
13:18Handing the football off on the two-yard line.
13:21Lining your quarterback up at wide receiver.
13:23Hey, Vrabel, that dark cloud from the Super Bowl is still raining over you at this point right now.
13:27It happens.
13:28We'll be back right here on the Sportsman Network.
13:30Boy, DRS headed to the association tonight.
13:32Gave you the Trailblazers who stink.
13:33They actually covered their spread.
13:34I'm going to give you another team today that stinks.
13:36It's the Brooklyn Nets.
13:38Yes, I just ripped them here, but I'm taking them tonight.
13:41Seven out of every ten tickets coming in on Milwaukee on the road.
13:44That line overnight was around minus one and a half, but the spread has actually increased to two and a
13:47half,
13:48which typically isn't a great sign, but I don't care.
13:50I'm back in the Nets.
13:51Nobody wants to take the Nets tonight, Joe.
13:54Your boy DRS is taking the Nets tonight.
13:57Let's get that public fade and continue on a 4-0 night to start the week for us as we
14:02head into Wednesday.
14:03The prediction markets, they're coming up next.
14:06A new way to invest your money.
14:07Come on and find out where we're going next.
14:10Prediction markets edge on the early line.
14:13Love to see it on a Tuesday here yesterday with a champion crowned in Michigan.
14:17Michigan also had our guy Joe on the show talking about he, in the predictive markets,
14:22cashed in a nice little ticket with Michigan and rode it all the way to a championship, Joe.
14:26That's the angles that we like to see.
14:27It's on the right side.
14:28It's Joe Aneri.
14:29Next half hour is ours.
14:30Prediction markets edge.
14:31We're right here, Joe.
14:33We are, Donnie, and we are ready to go here.
14:36I love some of these markets coming up.
14:40Certainly plenty of events that we can get into here.
14:43And I don't know, it's all about buying low, selling high with the prediction markets.
14:48And I think we can find a couple of spots for folks.
14:51Absolutely.
14:52Miami and Toronto.
14:53Let's start in the association tonight.
14:55In Toronto, 7.30 p.m. Eastern.
14:57If we take a look at Toronto, currently trading Joe as the favorite tonight at 52%.
15:02Miami the dog, of course, at 48%.
15:05If we include the point spread and you say, you know what?
15:07I think we're going to get a W here out of Toronto.
15:09We're going to win this game by four plus points.
15:11That's currently trading at 42 cents, which means, Joe, a $100 investment pays back $239
15:18if Toronto wins.
15:19Miami on the road to take on Toronto.
15:22Yeah.
15:23And listen, it's been rough sledding for Toronto, right?
15:26Lost to Detroit, lost to Sacramento, got a win against Memphis, then got beat pretty
15:33good against Boston.
15:34Now they come home and the heat just dropped, what, 150 some odd points on Washington?
15:40150, 152.
15:42Both teams are rested.
15:43Both teams are ready to go.
15:45And considering some of the other lines on the board in a total perspective tonight, Donnie,
15:52this feels like a cheap number to me.
15:55This feels like it's a little light.
15:57I'm expecting a ton of points in this one as well.
16:00So I would only look at the over and maybe look for a guy like Emmanuel Quigley to have
16:05a big night or, of course, Tyler Hero.
16:07I think those guys are poised to get some points on the board here.
16:12High total this game tonight.
16:13Also, Bam Adebayo, 20 plus points tonight.
16:16Currently trading at 58 cents.
16:18Show $100 investment pays back $173.
16:20If Bam gets 20 or more different ways that you can invest your money, we give you those
16:24options here.
16:25Charlotte on the road to take on Boston.
16:27Real good game in the Eastern Conference.
16:29Joe, Boston is the favorite and currently trading at a 66% clip to win this game.
16:33Charlotte, the underdog and a hot underdog, 34 cents.
16:37If you place $100 investment down on Charlotte, they win this game outright.
16:41That pays back $295, Joe.
16:46Yeah, it can't go wrong here.
16:48In fact, we have seen nothing but Charlotte money show up early here today.
16:54But keep in mind, again, Detroit clinched the East, the number one seed.
16:59And Boston, all right.
17:01They certainly have been rolling here, but so has Charlotte.
17:05Charlotte's still battling here to try and get themselves in the best position and maybe
17:11out of the play-in.
17:12Who knows?
17:12There's only a couple of, you know, games here that separate everybody.
17:16But this is another one that feels like even though the total is starting to climb, I think
17:21the total is climbing in this game, Donnie, simply because is Boston really just going
17:26to lay it all out there to what?
17:29I think Boston is not going to take any chances in the remaining three games in a regular season.
17:34I think points are coming here, and that's exactly how I would look at this game.
17:39Give me the over.
17:41Talked about Khan Knipple going head-to-head with Cooper Flagg, maybe that Rookie of the
17:44Year marketplace.
17:45If you think Khan is a big game tonight, knocking down four-plus triples, $100 investment, Joe
17:49pays back $250 on Calci here.
17:53Let's go over to Phoenix.
17:54It's Houston taking on Phoenix.
17:56That's the Rockets and the Suns.
17:58Houston and Phoenix currently trading right now, Joe Live, 50-50 in the marketplace.
18:04Shows you how close this is going to be.
18:05If we include a point spread and say, I think Houston is going to win by a bucket,
18:08or more, $100 investment pays back $209.
18:11No juice and a little bit of plus money in your pocket.
18:14Houston at Phoenix tonight, Joe.
18:16Yeah, well, it felt good, right, to come home for Phoenix.
18:20They lost on the road to Orlando.
18:23They lost on the road to Charlotte.
18:25They did beat, of course, the Bulls, but I think you and I could have beaten the Bulls.
18:30And they get to welcome, for the first time back since he left, Kevin Durant.
18:35They did play.
18:36Phoenix was home for Houston back in November, but he wasn't with them for that game.
18:42But he'll be here for this game, so it should be a packed crowd.
18:46We've seen this line flip from Houston to Phoenix, and I agree with it.
18:51I also agree with him having a really big night, as well as Devin Booker.
18:56I think those two guys battle it here tonight.
18:59I'd look at both their point props going up and over as well.
