00:00And the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Buenos Aires, Ivan Hill, offered an exclusive interview to Telesur journalist Rolando Segura
00:07in the context of the Assembly of the Peoples for the Sovereignty and Peace in our America, held in Caracas. Let's listen.
00:13Yes, thank you for this Contact Assembly of the Peoples for the Sovereignty and the Peace of our Americas.
00:22This is an opportunity that over 500 representatives and about 50 nations give themselves to articulate initiatives, to articulate ideas, structures for the mobilization facing the aggression of the U.S. against our Americas.
00:38We have the opportunity to talk with the Foreign Minister of Venezuela, Ivan Hill. Thank you for being in Telesur.
00:45Thank you, Rolando. Well, yes, it has been two days of intense work of these delegations, not only those that you were making, referencing to over 500 international delegates
00:57that come from all of Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, really from very remote places and also accompanied by the Venezuelan people.
01:08Here we have also had representatives of the fishermen, the communes of the organized people debating on this assembly of the peoples for the sovereignty and the peace of our Americas today in our continent.
01:21It is once again threatened, threatened through the application of the Monroe Doctrine, once again reviving an old structure that pretends to exercise the domination in an entire continent.
01:37And that has come and has been moving forward in different stages from the application of sanctions, the satanization of the governments, the popular governments and the progressive governments of our Americas.
01:51Today, the military placing the collocation of military assets in all of the Caribbean to threaten and ban the wellness of the people and even a new security doctrine that Donald Trump exposed a few days ago.
02:07Yes, this security doctrine that rescues the Monroe Doctrine, which the Bolivarian Doctrine has also done a counterweight big enough the history and we have seen it as a result.
02:22Well, the creation of the creation of the initiatives of the Bolivarian alliance for the people of our Americas, etc.
02:29And today, precisely the community, the international community, the true international community of the peoples is reunited here in Caracas precisely to create an alternative, a revolutionary offensive, we have called it a liberator and patriotic offensive of the peoples that we have seen in all of the debates.
02:54Debating subjects of security of security of migration of Bolivarian versus Mongrel, which we will be seeing together with the vice president and also the subjects of the youth, the genius generation facing that label that was pretended to be put on Gen Z to use them as instruments to use the alleged youth or a label of the supposed youth to finance and promote regime changes in all of our Americas.
03:21The reality is different. There are people that are rising and mobilizing and are active working in the function of consolidating its peace and not any peace.
03:32It is not the Roman peace. It is not the North American peace. It is the Bolivarian peace with social justice. So we are very happy of being able to debate in these two days.
03:42In these two days, I understand that a document, a manifesto is being made, which will have the name of the manifesto of Caracas that will set the basis of the fights that are to come and will that be accomplished, that was said by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, of going beyond theory and building structures that are effective for the mobilization for the free peoples and sovereign peoples of our Americas.
04:07Yes, I believe that the great result or the political number of this meeting will be the construction of an architecture that is popular of the peoples to defend the peace, defend the progress and defend the social justice and move to the offensive that is liberated, which is what is ordained by the Bolivarian doctrine in a framework of union, not only to the people of our
04:35America's because what is actually being played in this moment in the Caribbean, in the North of South America, in this region is the consolidation of the world peace.
04:44The peace facing the threats and the extorsions, the coercive unilateral measures, which is the name given to the illegal and illegitimate sanctions and facing the offensive and social media and the so called fake news of the manipulation of the youth.
05:03Well, we have a people answering here and we are sure that we will win.
05:09Something that we have seen in the conversations that we have had with many of those who participate is the conscious that what is happening today in Venezuela has nothing to do or it does only have to do with this national territory, but the entire continent.
05:24Well, I believe it is evident the military pace of this proportion that has happened in the Caribbean is not only a threat against Venezuela.
05:31It is a threat against all of the Caribbean, against all of the Latin American Union spirit, which we see in the doctrine that was published of the national security of the US, which means to turn Latin America again in its backyard.
05:45That has an answer and the answer that we have seen is the popular mobilization.
05:51There will be blocking.
05:52There will be threats or aggression that can detain the movement forward of the unity of the Bolivarian peoples.
05:58At the same time, Venezuela has a responsibility that is immense.
06:01It was said yesterday, something similar to this, that Venezuela would be like a contention war to stop the recolonization of the entire continent.
06:12Well, Venezuela taking its historical part as the land where our liberators,
06:17remember, Bolivar was born as the land where our commander Hugo Chavez was born.
06:22Obviously, we have a historical responsibility, a weight on our shoulders of facing, but that in Caracas, this action is happening.
06:32It doesn't mean that it is an action of the peoples of the Global South, as they are called, but it is our responsibility.
06:40Like 200 years ago, from Caracas, Bolivar left to liberate the peoples oppressed of the Americas.
06:47Today, we have to maintain that flame alive together with Bolivar.
06:51Thank you very much, Foreign Ministry, for your reflections for Telesur.
06:55Thank you, Orlando.
06:56A pleasure.
