00:00We just did a huge thing on endo for endometriosis month so it's really
00:04I'm excited to speak with you so why do you think it's so important that women
00:13are educated about endometriosis and how it can affect their health because if
00:17you have endometriosis it threatens every aspect of your life your well-being
00:22your physical activity your physical well-being your emotions your hormones
00:26your sensitivity to son you know your sexual relationships your ability to be
00:31a mother it affects your work it affects any chronic pain messes with how you
00:37deal with life and it's just one other big hurdle and you know what 200 million
00:42women have it worldwide we give seven or 11 million dollars somewhere in that
00:47range to research as the US government a year for endometriosis but it costs our
00:53system 21 billion dollars now never mind if you don't give a damn about any of
00:59women's health that you don't care it's just not good business it's right I mean
01:03think look at those figures and so what I want to do is change the way we talk
01:07about girls periods and women's reproductive systems because there's a
01:12disease that originates in the womb and the way that a society you know the way
01:20the attitudes of a society towards the womb is how it reflects how the society
01:26views itself every human being comes from the womb so we need to respect that we
01:30need to talk about it and we need to help people who have been suffering in
01:34silence for decades I gotta go so much for suffering and the infertility
