00:00So this is a combination between evolution of technology and a human experience which feelings, emotions and persons are at the center.
00:11So can you share how much was your personal feeling when you shoot this movie from your perspective, Stefan?
00:19So deeply invested in the world that James Cameron has created and in the characters that has created.
00:28It's both a joy and a responsibility to go to work every day.
00:33You know, it really brings out the best in us, the most hardworking.
00:38So the emotions are always there and they're, you know, the emotions of deep respect and love for the project and for our colleagues on this
00:53and a desire to tell the story that's being in the most effective and exciting and dramatic way possible.
01:01Sam?
01:02Jim's always told me that, you know, irregardless of the spectacle and the immersion of these movies, it has to be about the relationships.
01:10So, you know, we're tasked with bringing that emotion and that truth to these characters to help complement the other side.
01:18So, in my personal opinion, the best quality, one of the best qualities of this movie is you, like a cast, like actors.
01:27So, can you say how much you discovered the most in this business, you, Stefan, after 40 years of a great career and you, Sam, after 25 years of career?
01:40So, because, in my opinion, you are two different legends in many ways.
01:44So, can you discover the most?
01:45This man definitely is.
01:47Yeah, I'll give you that.
01:49Sam likes to, he asks me occasionally how it was working before they were talking pictures.
01:57I've gotten used to it, you know, in any, yeah, just what is it you want me to do?
02:05How much did you discover the most also in your career, also thinking this avatar experience, so about you like an actor, so how did you learn in this business after many years?
02:17So, can you share?
02:17Well, I like this question because what it is, I, um, you want to say to the young people, to Trinity,
02:26and to Jack, uh, and to Bailey, he says, there's part of you wants to say, you don't know just how amazing this is, but they do.
02:36They really do because they're very, very smart, but you have to really, uh, it's a tough business.
02:42And, and although prior to Avatar, I always worked hard, it was good, but like every actor, I, Sam would testify to this, you take your lumps, you take your bruises.
02:53So to be given, uh, uh, uh, a gift like this to be, and to be entrusted with a responsibility, uh, to, to, to be an avatar is just one couldn't, as an actor, you just couldn't ask for more, you know?
03:11And to have had it once, I remember when we finished the first Avatar, and we didn't know that at that time that there was going to be sequels to it.
03:20Um, I knew at that point that if it, if it, nothing ever happened again with it, that I had participated in something that was a real, a benchmark in cinema, you know?
03:33That really was a, a, a shining kind of a lighthouse, I think, in, in cinema, and, uh, that, that satisfies a great kind of longing that actors have.
03:44They sometimes say we have an, we have immortal longings, you know?
03:49And I think that Avatar, in a way, scratches that particular edge.
03:54So Sam, can you share a lot of your great career?
03:58I love making this movie more than these, this saga more than anything in the world.
04:03I love working with Jim more than anything, than anyone.
04:06And I think one day it will sink in that this is my legacy, you're part of this legacy.
04:14And I think that's a beautiful thing.
04:16Right now in the middle of it, it doesn't actually sink in.
04:19I go to work, I do my job.
04:20That's how I look at it.
04:22It sounds kind of naive, but that's how I make these films.
04:25I, I, zero in and focus and, and then hopefully the, the hope is that the movie connects, you know?
04:32And this is my favorite part of, of making the movie because we then get to hand it over.
04:37It's, it's, this movie is for an audience, always has been, and it's about an audience.
04:43So, um, this is always my favorite part when you have to let it go.
04:46So thank you so much and good luck for all.
04:49Merry Christmas.
