00:22There's been an evolution and a devolution in my particular character. He starts off, I think, as someone who's kind
00:32of showing Jake Sully the way. By the time we get to this film, in many respects, it's Jake Sully
00:39who's showing Quaritch the way. They're mirrors of each other, both the good, the bad and the ugly.
00:45And the deeper we get into the saga, I think the more complicated the relationship becomes. So I think that's
00:56a very general answer, but it's all I got right now. Sam?
01:00I think Jake has always had a complex duality. In the first movie, he was torn between being a human
01:07or being an Avatar or a Na'vi. Second movie, he was torn between being a warrior and being a
01:13father.
01:13And in this movie, he's torn between the past and remaining a soldier and dealing with life that way, or
01:20taking up the mantle in his destiny of being the great leader of the clans. So I've always enjoyed that
01:27evolution and how it builds and builds in the saga.
