00:00Well, when I was arrested, I was four months pregnant with my daughter.
00:03So I ended up giving birth to my daughter, handcuffed to a bed.
00:07Literally?
00:08Literally, handcuffed to a bed.
00:09They wouldn't unhandcuff you while?
00:11No, no, no.
00:13One hand, handcuffed to the bed.
00:14There was a sheriff there that I had never saw before in my life,
00:17and he just stood there and didn't turn away, not one time.
00:21It was a really humiliating experience, and I think it was meant to be.
00:25So, you know, you only had 24 hours with your daughter.
00:28Yep.
00:29So, first of all, did you know you were going to have that little,
00:31and how much contact did you have with her while you were in prison?
00:34I had no idea how long I was going to be with my daughter,
00:38and I had almost no contact with her when I was in prison
00:40because my mother died almost immediately after I gave birth to her.
00:43You were there for two and a half years.
00:45And you had no contact?
00:46So, for, right, it was, I saw her one time when she was six months old.
00:50One of my family members brought her to see me,
00:52and then I didn't see her again until I came home.
00:55And it was horrible because she didn't know who I was.
00:57She wouldn't let me touch her.
00:58She wouldn't let me hold her.
00:59She would scream to the top of her lungs.
01:02I mean, it was just a really, really hard process for me and all of my children to go home.
01:06But you've moved past that now.
01:08Absolutely.
01:08How old is she now?
01:09Absolutely.
01:09She's 13.
01:10Ah.
01:11That's my baby.
