03:38of folks politicking against the lack of conference affiliation, using them as a pawn for their
03:45college football playoff selection show, having the ACC network play the UM-Notre Dame game
03:51on repeat for 48 hours during the conference championship week, but now it's a bad look that
03:57they don't want to serve ESPN's best interest by playing in an exhibition bowl game?

05:08Let it marinate because I have a feeling if you pulled the players, the coaching staff,
05:12the administration, and the student body at Notre Dame, if you ask them 24 hours later
05:19today, say at noon, they might've had a different answer as to whether they didn't want to play
05:24in a bowl game or not.
05:25Like they made a decision in the heat of the moment, which I think is foolish to do.
05:29I do understand this as a hurricanes fan.

05:34You're told five weeks in a row, you're better and ranked higher than Miami by all our metrics.

05:45And now you get to this final ranking, the final poll, neither team has played.
05:50And all of a sudden, now you're going to tell us that we're no longer better than Miami.
05:56I get feeling like the rug was pulled out from under you.

06:02But bottom line, the committee got it right.
06:07In basketball, you're going to play a team a number of times during a season.
06:12In football, college football, especially your opponents, you have one chance.
06:20So Lana's had bragging rights with FIU and UM for, I don't know how long, you know, you
06:27have one chance.
06:29Miami didn't need to schedule the toughest game of the year.
06:33First game of the season, but they did, but it doesn't matter if it's the first game of
06:37the season, the last game of the season, they went head to head with Notre Dame, vaunted
06:42Notre Dame, and they beat them.
06:45So in college football, for me, especially, you will never play a team more than once in
06:50a season until, you know, you get to bowl season.
06:53To me, head to head trumps everything.
06:57And the Miami hurricanes beat Notre Dame committee got it right.
07:00And all is right in the college football world.
07:03And the fact that it happens at the expense of Notre Dame makes it even that much sweeter.
07:11Notre Dame's a great pool and people dislike them.
07:15And for them to get, I can't even say messed over, messed over almost came out.
07:19I can't say that because it's, it's legit what they did with UM and Notre Dame.
07:23Now, some of these other at-larges and all that stuff is Tulane in there.
07:27They're not better than Notre Dame, but they laid the rules out beforehand on that situation.
