00:02This smash burger is about to become your secret weapon for those moments when you need to impress someone but only have 10 minutes to spare.
00:10For the burger, use 4 ounces freshly ground beef chuck, divide it into two 2-ounce balls, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
00:19Then top with one slice of good melting cheese, such as American cheddar or homemade melting cheese.
00:25For assembly, use one soft hamburger roll that is buttered and toasted, and finish with condiments and toppings as desired, including mayonnaise, mustard, shredded lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles.
