00:00The Overnights of Sex Comedy, written and directed by Patrick Brice.

00:04We sat down to talk about the film at South by Southwest.

00:08Mark and I made this movie Creep together, and he said, you know,

00:10if you want to make another kind of small movie, I'll produce it for you.

00:13And so I thought up this weird story about these two couples having this crazy, insane night together.

00:19How that affects your social life, I guess, and how there's this reconciliation that needs to happen

00:23between being a parent, having a social life at all, and how most people usually choose being a parent.

00:29I wanted, you know, that, and then compounded on that, this couple being a fish out of water,

00:34newly moved to Los Angeles, and then meeting Judith's character and Jason Schwartzman's character.

00:40Mark sent me the script, and he was like, I think there's something in this for you,

00:44and it's one of the funniest things I have ever, ever read.

00:47I just adored it. I was like, I will pass on everything to be doing this movie,

00:52and obviously, you know, when you know you're going to shoot a movie in 11 nights,

00:55it means you really want to be there.

00:57I always wanted to work with Jason.

00:59One thing that is not in the movie that I really regret...

01:03Which is?

01:05Which is like Jason lying down on my knees, like, I mean, you know, I'm sitting in the couch,

01:11and he's like suddenly lying down on me, and like kind of brutally,

01:14and I'm like, oh, you're hurting my pussy.

01:16And I was like, I didn't like that line, but it was kind of too much, you know?

01:20But that's like one of the things that I thought was great, you know, on my perspective.

01:25I think that's what I wanted to do.
