00:00Hey guys, we're here with the Hollywood Life podcast and I am really excited because one
00:05of my best friends is here on the podcast with me, but sister, well, that's, that's
00:10what we call each other.
00:11She's my big sis and has taught me like majority of what I know.
00:15Um, and she also happens to be, um, a reality TV star on Summer House on Bravo.
00:24So Lindsay Hubbard is here to talk all things Summer House and just life with me.
00:29Yes.
00:30And we're a little bit hungover.
00:31So, so bear with us.
00:36We went out to celebrate.
00:37Carl was doing like a two year anniversary at one of his clubs.
00:40So we all, we all kind of drank the juice.
00:44Had to celebrate.
00:45Well, I love that you and your cast kind of bring summer to New York City in the off season.
00:52Uh, and you guys all hang out and go out together.
00:54Yeah.
00:55I mean, it's cold outside, so we have to heat it up a little bit.
00:57That's right.
00:58That's right.
00:58So we are in season two of Summer House or season three.
01:03Yeah.
01:04No, we're in season three of Summer House.
01:06Oh my gosh.
01:06Season three of Summer House.
01:08Um, you have been on since the start.
01:11You are a OG.
01:13Um, and there's not that many OGs left on the show.
01:17There's three of you.
01:18So what would you say is the biggest difference between season one to now season three?
01:24Oh gosh.
01:25Personally even, just for Lindsay.
01:27Yeah, personally.
01:27I mean, I think, you know, season one, I was in a relationship as we saw and that didn't
01:32go over so well.
01:34Um, season two, I was single and I kind of got back to my, you know, fun, flirty side
01:41of me and you know what?
01:44This season, it's like more of a deeper focus on myself and, you know, you see my ex-boyfriend
01:51every now and then, you know, but it's hard to let go sometimes.
01:55You know, I think that's like a natural thing.
01:57But then I meet a new guy, which you guys are going to meet him, uh, not this coming
02:03week, but the week after.
02:04So in a couple of weeks, you'll see, you know, a little bit of, he's Turkish, so it's fun.
02:10It's different.
02:13Definitely different.
02:14It's, he was different for you in so many different ways, but I think his outfits are
02:20really going to get people going.
02:21Oh, for sure.
02:24For sure.
02:25He wears a lot of vests.
02:26A lot of vests and a lot of bright colors.
02:28Very bright.
02:29So not New York City.
02:31Yeah.
02:32No, but you know, good for him.
02:34Right.
02:34He has good, he has good, you know, fashion sense.
02:37It's just, you know, very different.
02:39Very different.
02:43Um, so you were single, you're single obviously this season as well.
02:49Um, and well, except for the boy that we're about to meet.
02:52Um, how would you, how do you say that this season is, um, better than, than the last two?
03:00You know, it's different.
03:01Like there's, there's definitely still a lot of drama, but you know, we have three new housemates,
03:07right?
03:07Like, so, you know, I think at this point we're, you know, a month into the season, um, and at
03:13which point we were a month into the summer.
03:16So we're really starting to either develop those friendships or not.
03:21So, you know, it's an interesting dynamic and it's definitely different from past seasons
03:25because, you know, when we all started this show and, you know, it was a huge, our big
03:31group of friends and all of us have been going to the Hamptons for years.
03:36Um, you know, so we obviously don't have the same, you know, housemates as last, the last
03:43couple of seasons and we have three new people and, um, you know, personalities are really
03:48starting to finally come out and we see, uh, how those mesh or don't with, you know, the
03:54rest of us.
03:55Well, speaking of which, um, this Monday's episode, you kind of clash with Jordan, who
04:02is one of the new cast members.
04:04Um, tell me a little bit about what is going down.
04:08You know, I think it was like sort of brewing on the back end, right?
04:12Like he was making out with Danielle, but then he didn't want to make out with Danielle, but
04:17it was just like really confusing.
04:19Um, and you know, then we, he, you know, we go to dinner as a house on Friday night and,
04:26uh, you know, Kyle's just telling us how, you know, he wants to move in with Amanda and
04:31Amanda's, you know, saying that she's a little bit hesitant, you know, what if something
04:35goes wrong?
04:36Um, obviously that happened to me, right?
04:39Like I moved in with my boyfriend, we broke up, I moved out and, you know, it sucked.
04:45Um, you know, but it's definitely really hard in New York city when that happens.
04:48So I can understand Amanda's reservations.
04:52Jordan sitting next to me who I just met a month ago is like, yeah, case in point and
04:57points to me.
04:58I'm like, excuse me, you don't know me like you just met me a month ago.
05:03You don't even know Everett, like you stay in your lane and don't speak when you have
05:09no idea, like what my past relationship was or, you know, what it was like.
05:14So, you know, that kind of peeved me.
05:16And then, you know, add on top of that, that, you know, he's like fucking around with Danielle
05:22and then, you know, he's like kind of making up that he made out with three other girls.
05:27It was just like, things are starting to, you know, I think we're starting to realize
05:32that, you know, is this guy actually genuine or not?
05:35I mean, he told us a story about how he lost his virginity and I swear to you, I saw it
05:39on 40 year old virgin.
05:45Like I have heard that before.
05:47It was just the craziest story.
05:48You're like, seriously?
05:50Honestly, like how I lost my virginity is the most boring story ever.
05:53Right.
05:54You know, like lost it.
05:56Yeah.
05:56Like he definitely is a storyteller and it's just a matter of trying to figure out what's
06:00actually real or not.
06:02I mean, we even saw in episode one where he said that he broke Hinge, right?
06:06That's what he, he broke Hinge as like the most eligible bachelor.
06:10I feel like Hinge is going to come out and be like, listen, not true.
06:13So, yeah, I mean, have you ever met him, by the way?
06:17Yes.
06:17I met him at the premiere party.
06:22That's right.
06:22But I feel like everyone's gotten definitely that introduction to him where he thinks that
06:27he's all that and, and more.
06:31Yeah.
06:31You know, it's funny because my first impression of him and, and, you know, these days you don't
06:37really know how to get to know somebody before you meet them other than social media.
06:42Social media.
06:43Right.
06:43So you do a lot of stalking.
06:45I mean, listen, we're girls.
06:47We basically are private investigators.
06:48So we can find anything out about you that we want.
06:52And, you know, the only thing that I had was Instagram and I looked at Jordan's Instagram
06:56and I was like, this guy is super into himself.
06:59Yes.
07:00Like all model pics.
07:01And then, and then he came across as like genuine.
07:03And then now we're like, now he's kind of going back to like that, that douchey personality.
07:09True colors are kind of peeking through.
07:11Well, maybe they're his true colors.
07:12Maybe they aren't like, maybe we'll learn more, more about him, but I, I will say I
07:18would not cross you.
07:20That is frightening and scary.
07:23And mad.
07:25Lindsay is mad.
07:27She's angry.
07:28Listen, I like, I, I feel like I have a pretty level head, but like, you know, I am one thing
07:34I am is like a very, very loyal friend.
07:37Right.
07:37And, you know, I think that you see how, how I am as a friend when it comes to Danielle,
07:44you know, it's like, you know, if somebody is messing around with my friend, like that
07:49mama bear is going to come out of me, you know, like I'm very protective and, um, you
07:53know.
07:54Cause you're a great friend.
07:55Yeah.
07:56She's a great friend.
07:57Right.
07:57I would like to think so.
07:59She is.
07:59Yeah.
08:00So, I mean, it's, listen, like I am, you guys, you're innocent, but if like you fuck with
08:06me, like it's the worst thing you could ever do for me.
08:07And sometimes you just don't come back from that.
08:10Nope.
08:11Nope.
08:12Um, well, I think it's really cool too, that you, Amanda and Kyle have kind of seemed to
08:17put your differences on the back burner and, and confront them as well.
08:23Um, so tell us like a little bit about that.
08:26Cause you did come into the summer with, you know, things to say, they had things to say.
08:31There's a lot of tension going into the summer.
08:33You know, Kyle and I have known each other for so many years.
08:37I mean, I met him in the Hamptons Memorial Day weekend, you know, in like five, six years
08:44ago.
08:44Um, I actually stayed at his house with Christina Gibson.
08:49Um, yeah, that's how I met Kyle.
08:51So, you know, we have years of a foundation of friendship and, you know, even though we
08:57went into this summer with a lot of tension and, you know, things to work through and,
09:02you know, conversations to be had, you know, there's still that foundation that we can fall
09:06back on.
09:07And I think, you know, it's easier for us to like, you know, get through those conversations
09:11knowing and, and just reminding ourselves that there is a solid friendship there and
09:15we just have to keep that in mind, you know?
09:17Yeah.
09:17But yeah, we were in a good place and, you know, it's like, thank God, like no one can
09:22go through the summer living in a house every single weekend with that kind of tension.
09:26It's just like, it's just not good.
09:28And I hate holding tension inside of me.
09:30Like I'm the type of person where, you know, I would rather just talk to you about it and
09:34like get, get the negativity out and then move on quickly because life's too short, you
09:40know?
09:40And that's, you know, what I wanted to make sure happened with, with Kyle and Amanda.
09:45Yeah.
09:46You know, there's no point in holding tension.
09:48No.
09:48And it doesn't make for, you know, a fun show.
09:51Like you guys are also, it's not just the show, like you guys are out there every weekend
09:55this is your summer.
09:57You don't want it to be filled with that.
09:59Yeah.
09:59No, absolutely not.
10:00You guys as viewers don't want to watch that.
10:02Right.
10:02Exactly.
10:02You want to watch us like partying and having fun together.
10:05Right.
10:05Well, and another storyline that people definitely are really liking is Carl and Paige.
10:12Carl really took to Paige like day one.
10:15Um, so tell me, what, what are your thoughts on that and them as a potential couple?
10:21Our kitchen pantry has gotten so much action lately.
10:25I mean, Carl and Paige making out in the pantry, like nonstop.
10:30Kyle fell asleep in the pantry.
10:31Oh my gosh.
10:32It was the, that was probably like an all time favorite of the season so far for me is
10:36Kyle falling asleep in the pantry.
10:37But yeah, Carl and Paige, you know, it's interesting because I've never seen Carl be the aggressor
10:45or the one chasing after a girl.
10:47And, you know, it's usually girls going after him and him being like, no, no, no.
10:52But for him, you know, for, for things to switch and him going after Paige and Paige not really
11:00giving him what he wants, but like kind of is so funny.
11:04So, you know, when, when Paige is sober, she doesn't like give Carl the time of day.
11:09Right.
11:10But then when Paige drinks, we actually call her Pam.
11:15So when Paige drinks, like all of a sudden she's making out with Carl and, you know, I
11:19feel for Carl because we've started getting really close this summer and, um, you know,
11:26again, a little bit protective and I don't want to see him get hurt either.
11:29I feel like it's like me constantly like trying to rally like Danielle and Carl.
11:35I'm like, what are you guys doing?
11:38Um, but, you know, you'll still see more of, you know, the Carl and Paige, uh, you know,
11:44romance, uh, sort of take its turns throughout the rest of the summer and, um, see where it
11:50goes.
11:51But yeah, they definitely like a good pantry makeout for sure.
11:55Oh yeah.
11:55Do we see you in the pantry?
11:57No, I actually told him, I was like, you guys should put cameras here.
12:03Oh my gosh.
12:04What a terrible idea.
12:06The one place that in bathrooms, there's no cameras.
12:09Oh my gosh.
12:10Well, cause I feel like no one would think to put a camera in the pantry.
12:13My favorite thing is watching everyone wake up.
12:16Like this past Monday I wake up and I have a statue zebra just staring at me in my bed.
12:23Oh my gosh.
12:24That's like Godfather shit, you know?
12:26I'm like, oh, what's up?
12:27Wesley stripes.
12:29That's the name of my zebra.
12:31I love it.
12:32Uh, amazing.
12:33Well, so I mean, Chrissy Teigen is a, is a new watcher.
12:36She's a fan tweeted.
12:38I know it's so great.
12:40What was your response to that?
12:41I mean, was that so exciting for you?
12:43I mean, I'm just waiting for that Barack Obama tweet.
12:45Oh yeah.
12:46He follows me on Twitter.
12:48Yes, he does.
12:50Wait, that's so cool too.
12:51Like how did you get that follow?
12:53Um, I don't know.
12:55So I, I mean, we're boys, obviously.
12:58Obviously like your buddies.
12:59Me and Barack.
13:00Um, no, I, I think it was when he was running for president and, you know, he probably had
13:05a lot of interns working for him and, you know, the interns were like, go follow all
13:11the millennials in the world.
13:12I mean, I'm pretty sure he follows like 700,000 people and it's like, they're all probably,
13:18you know, our age.
13:20How I got chosen, I don't know.
13:22But I also have connects, you know, like.
13:24Yeah, I mean.
13:25Why wouldn't he follow you?
13:26I have, you know, we, Donya, my best friend lives in D.C.
13:30Well, that's what I was thinking from Donya.
13:31You know, she's friends with Michelle Obama's right hand girl.
13:35Like maybe she had something to do with it.
13:37I don't know.
13:38She'd follow my girl Lynn Sparrow.
13:39Maybe he watches Summer House and just won't admit it.
13:41I feel like he'd be into Bravo.
13:43I would love for like all the celebrities to start coming out.
13:46Like we got Chrissy Teigen.
13:47Now I'm waiting for like John Legend and then maybe like, you know, Kanye.
13:51What if he's like throwing down some Summer House on a Monday night?
13:54Yeah.
13:55Like he, I know that they really enjoy watching Family Feud.
13:57So like he probably flicks back and forth.
14:00I mean, I'm going to see Michelle Obama in a couple of weeks.
14:03So I'm going to, I'm going to ask her.
14:04Ask her.
14:04Definitely ask her.
14:05Report back.
14:07So is there, well, besides Barry O and Chrissy Teigen, like could Chrissy come on the show?
14:13Like, can you, why don't you try to get her on the show?
14:15I mean, if she wants to, you know, make a trip to the Hamptons, we would love to have her.
14:18Put her up in a room, like give her, you know, a nice setup.
14:23And Stassi is going to come on the show, right?
14:26Yeah, so Stassi and Bo and Katie and Schwartzy, they come out in a couple of weeks.
14:33So you guys will see how our friends, you know, live the Hamptons life.
14:38I mean, they're LA.
14:39Right.
14:39You know, LA comes to the Hamptons.
14:41So it's always interesting when that happens, right?
14:44Like Hamptons is such like a unique, different experience, even for like LA people.
14:51So it's like interesting to see, you know, how they, how they jive with the Hamptons.
14:58Would you ever want to do a crossover and go on pump?
15:02Sure.
15:02I mean, I used to live in LA.
15:03Right.
15:03So I feel like it's just like normal.
15:07Yeah.
15:07And we're the same age and we, you know, we're all friends.
15:10So it's like, you know, we kind of have this similar kind of drama as they do.
15:15And they're a group of friends and, you know, I think it would be natural.
15:19Yeah.
15:20Natural choice.
15:22Well, speaking of which, in addition to being like a hot reality star, babe, you also are
15:28a boss, babe.
15:29Oh, thanks.
15:29And I like look up to you so much when it comes to your dedication to your work.
15:35So HubHouse PR, you branched out on your own and created your own PR company.
15:43And now you have taken on so many clients.
15:46So tell me a little bit just about, you know, why you chose to do that at like such a young
15:52age too and build your own company.
15:54I actually like didn't choose to, I never, when I was younger, I never like had the dream
15:58that I would own my own PR firm one day.
16:00I just fell into everything.
16:02Um, you know, I was working at, I, first of all, I, you know, went to the University
16:07of Florida, go Gators.
16:09Woo.
16:09Um, I majored in PR and I also fell into the major.
16:15I was a marketing major.
16:17I, there was way too much math and science.
16:20I was like, this is not, no.
16:22So after one semester, I switched over to the College of Journalism Communications.
16:27Didn't fully know what PR was at the time, but I was like, sounds like something I'd be
16:32into.
16:33Um, and it all worked out.
16:36So I, you know, moved to New York, worked at a boutique PR agency.
16:40I think it was a really cold winter.
16:43Uh, it was like really cold.
16:45Uh, because you came from Florida.
16:47Yeah.
16:47Like this like platinum blonde tan chick can not handle the cold.
16:53So I moved to LA and, you know, that's really where I, you know, I started working at a
16:58different PR firm and started honing my skills, uh, you know, at that firm.
17:03And I was there for five years, but I really like hustled and worked my ass off.
17:10And I was 22, 23, and I could obviously work those amount of hours.
17:14And I was representing every single club lounge bar in LA and was out every single night.
17:20I don't know how I didn't die, but how do you not die?
17:26Like going out every night and then waking up and getting to work at night.
17:30Right.
17:30Yeah.
17:30Um, you know, it is hard work.
17:32And then, you know, I moved back to New York, ran our New York office.
17:35And I was a date, I was dating a guy at the time who was also a client, mommy, um, and
17:42he saw how much I was doing for this company and for my old boss.
17:46And he was like, you really need to do this on your own.
17:49You can.
17:49And I, I really didn't want to, like, I know my strengths, which is client facing media
17:55facing, but I also know my weaknesses and the business end of business is not for me.
18:01Like, I don't want to do accounting.
18:03I don't want to pay insurance.
18:04Like, I don't want to deal with the taxes.
18:05I don't want to deal with salary and employees and payroll.
18:07I don't want to do all that.
18:09Right.
18:09Like, I want to just pitch media and, you know, talk to my clients and be the front of
18:14house, not the back of house.
18:15But he obviously, you know, was nice enough to start a business with me.
18:21Eventually that didn't work out.
18:23Left him, started Hub House, and here we are.
18:26And you're doing so well.
18:27So you have Woodpecker by David Burr.
18:29Yes, I have.
18:30Like, I represent all lifestyle clients.
18:32Actually, I was just talking to my girl, Toni.
18:36And I have all lifestyle clients.
18:39And PR has, it goes through cycles.
18:41So sometimes I'll have a lot of hospitality accounts, like restaurants and lounges and
18:46bars.
18:46And then other times I'll have, you know, more consumer goods.
18:49So I have a couple of different restaurants in New York, and I have a baby stroller brand.
18:56Which we're actually launching.
18:58It's an Australian brand.
18:59We're launching it in the U.S. next week.
19:02I love the night pillow and the Kardashians.
19:04I'll use the night pillow.
19:05The Kardashians.
19:06Everyone.
19:06Everyone.
19:07I mean, truly all the housewives.
19:09It's so wonderful for your face.
19:11Did you actually get any sleep if you didn't sleep on a night pillow?
19:14The answer is no.
19:15No.
19:15I have, who else?
19:17I have Justin Gellivan.
19:19Justin Gellivan.
19:20He trains all the Victoria's Secret angels.
19:23So I'm hoping that in the next two months I'm going to start looking like a supermodel.
19:27Yes.
19:27And we're going to do an Adventures with Allie with Justin and Lindsay too.
19:32So all of our YouTube people can stay tuned for that.
19:35Oh yeah.
19:36We're going to do that next week.
19:36Yeah.
19:38Laser away.
19:39Laser away.
19:40We just opened our 49th store in Miami.
19:44Amazing.
19:44We have a bunch around New York City.
19:47You've been to Laser away with me.
19:48Yes.
19:48Yeah.
19:49I don't know.
19:50You just are such a boss lady and you rock it.
19:52Thanks.
19:53In addition to going and filming every weekend in the summer too.
19:57It's actually really, it's brutal.
19:58Yeah.
19:59It's really brutal doing that because, you know, a lot of people, they just see my fun,
20:04crazy party, drink rosé all day, you know, on the weekends.
20:08Like people only see that.
20:10And, you know, you don't really get an opportunity to see how hard I'm hustling during the week
20:15to maintain my clients, get new clients and, you know, you know, run a business.
20:22Right.
20:22And, you know, it's like, it's two full-time jobs.
20:26Yeah, it is.
20:27When we're filming during the summer because it's like, you know, and you have to wear
20:31different hats.
20:31But you know what?
20:32I'm still young enough to be able to do that.
20:34I don't have any kids.
20:35You know, I'm able to do this while I can and, you know, make that money.
20:40Well, and I feel like that is something that people don't know.
20:43You know, they see, they comment on your Instagram and you're like the most epic clapback person
20:47ever.
20:48Like, I feel like there should be just a series of Lindsay clapbacks.
20:51Like, how to handle internet trolls by Lindsay Hubbard.
20:55No, I mean, I just laugh at them.
20:58They're like, why aren't you wearing a bra?
21:00Well, first of all, listen, guys, I got my boobs done in March.
21:05Different doctors have different recovery methods.
21:07My doctor was like, you can't wear a bra for six months.
21:10Then we start filming Summer House and everyone's wondering why I'm never wearing a bra.
21:13Well, because it was the doctor's orders.
21:15Also, if I had an opportunity, I would be naked all the time.
21:20That is also true.
21:21I walk around naked in my apartment at home.
21:23I would like to walk around naked in the Summer House, but I probably shouldn't.
21:28But apparently, it's against the rules.
21:30Yeah, but yeah, so it's like whenever people are like, ew, you need to wear a bra.
21:33I'm like, hey, how do your boobs look?
21:36Let's see them.
21:36Feel free to share.
21:38Right.
21:38And by the way, like, who cares?
21:40Like, have you never seen boobs before?
21:42Yeah.
21:43Grow up.
21:44Right, exactly.
21:45And you just are the clapback queen.
21:48I love it.
21:48You know what to say.
21:49Okay, so when it comes to balancing it all, how do you do it?
21:55Do you have advice for how, you know, the girls that look up to you and the people that
21:59watch your show?
22:01I think just, you know, taking time for yourself.
22:04Like, it's really, really important.
22:05For me, it's really important that I exercise because it's therapy.
22:09That is like the one hour of the day that I don't have somebody in my ear needing something
22:15from me.
22:16So, you know, it's the, it's me focusing on myself, clearing my mind, you know, getting
22:21any aggression out that, you know, I might have and taking it out on myself instead of
22:27like, you know, taking it out on the world.
22:28So I think exercising is really important and having that me time and really, you know,
22:36or I like to go to the movies.
22:38Oh, I'm like a huge and like, like old school, traditional, like go to the theater.
22:44The theater.
22:44Yeah, I love going to the movie theater.
22:47And sometimes I go by myself.
22:49Oftentimes I go by myself.
22:51Just get some popcorn, get your like, because you're, I get so consumed by movies.
22:56I just don't think about anything else that's going on in my life.
22:59We, I love that so much because I love going to movies and I do go by myself too because
23:04I think it's also really important to be able to be alone with yourself and just to enjoy
23:10the act of being alone.
23:13For sure.
23:13I completely agree.
23:15It's like a lot of people are scared to be alone.
23:17Yeah.
23:17And actually it's like you get to know yourself better if you are.
23:21And then the more you get to know yourself, you can decide what makes you happy and not.
23:25Exactly.
23:26It's easier to communicate.
23:27Also, um, I would say have a lot of sex.
23:30That's always helpful.
23:32You know, you gotta just like, you get that release out.
23:35I, I mean, I think that's good advice.
23:37Yeah.
23:38My dad, my dad's not going to be listening to this.
23:40So I can say that.
23:41Yes, exactly.
23:42Exactly.
23:43So, but, but safe sex.
23:47I mean, I, it's more about pull and pray for me.
23:50I'm, you know, 32 at this point.
23:53It's fine.
23:54It's fine.
23:54I can have a child.
23:58I will raise it for you.
24:00If it happens, you know, it just, whatever.
24:04I'll be fine.
24:05It'll have a lot, you know, this baby would have a lot of aunts and uncles.
24:09It would probably be a cool ass baby.
24:11Yeah.
24:11I would hope so.
24:12Yeah, for sure.
24:13Very well dressed too.
24:15Oh, pay mom color.
24:18Green pants.
24:19Green pants.
24:20And little vests.
24:21Vests.
24:22I love it.
24:22Oh my gosh.
24:23That's so funny.
24:24Um, so this coming summer, obviously we, we don't know yet, um, what you're going to
24:31be doing, but we're assuming that you're going to be back in the Hamptons.
24:34Is there any one that you would like, obviously me, uh, to be on the show with you?
24:41I mean, 1000% you.
24:44Honestly, like if, you know, the problem is, is like we have five girls and three guys and
24:51it's like.
24:52My question actually was going to be, would you like anyone from prior seasons to return
24:57for a fourth season?
24:59Jacqueline Schumann would probably, I'm, I love Jacqueline Schumann.
25:03Um, I, you know, the work as twins are in, in California, so they're not even here anymore.
25:10Um, but Jacqueline, she's just so fun and such a sweet girl.
25:14Like if, if there was anyone to return, it would definitely be her.
25:18Um, but yeah, I don't know.
25:21I, you would be my first choice, obviously.
25:25Um, yeah.
25:27Yeah.
25:27I don't know what's going to happen.
25:29I mean, I, if, if the show, you know, if we do go back, I mean, then first of all,
25:36I'm going to have to like get a liver transplant at some point.
25:40Um, yeah, I'm getting older, Allie.
25:43Like I can't party like I used to.
25:45You know what Lindsay and I really like doing and talking about though is, um, murders.
25:49True crime.
25:50And Tony is a murder chick too.
25:53You are?
25:53I didn't know that, Tony.
25:55Oh my gosh.
25:55She runs, she does murder for hire on oxygen.
25:58That's her shit.
25:58She's at the front door.
26:00Oh yeah.
26:01Okay.
26:01Allie and I once went to dinner like a month ago.
26:05It started as a wine happy hour.
26:08By the way, best happy hour in New York city.
26:10What was that place called?
26:11It's called Amelie.
26:12You can get four glasses.
26:14Can we go tonight by the way?
26:16Possibly.
26:16Um, four glasses of wine for $12 and it can be their best glasses.
26:22Four glasses of wine for $12 total.
26:24Not each.
26:24Total.
26:25Total.
26:26Total.
26:26And you can get, you can get their like, it's like, I'll be like, uh, can I have the most
26:31expensive rosé?
26:31And it's like an $18 glass, but I get it.
26:34And four more, three more for $12.
26:37Anyway, so we go a month ago.
26:39We go to dinner just to catch up and we drink our four glasses of wine, obviously really
26:46quickly.
26:46We order a bunch of like food, a little charcuterie board.
26:50And we started talking about true crime.
26:53Like you've never seen it.
26:54It was like Ted Bundy.
26:56Did we talk about abducted in plain sight?
26:58Had that come out?
26:58It hadn't come out yet.
26:59That wasn't out yet.
27:00Abducted in plain sight.
27:02I mean, we, Oh, the John Bonet.
27:04I feel like maybe we talked about, we did talk a lot about John Bonet.
27:07We did a lot of Ted Bundy.
27:08Who killed John Bonet.
27:09We did a lot of Ted Bundy.
27:11Yeah.
27:11Cause that just came out.
27:12Oh, it's funny.
27:13Jordan kind of reminds me of Ted Bundy a little bit.
27:15You're so right.
27:17Or Andrew Cunanan.
27:19Ooh, that's creepy.
27:21That's creepy.
27:23But literally, so Lindsay and I are sitting there and it ends up being a five hour, five
27:29hours dinner, five hours.
27:31You guys, this is not normal.
27:32We ordered bottles at that point.
27:37And then we were like, we should go.
27:38And then we're like, should we get one more?
27:40Yeah.
27:40And then we're laughing so hard.
27:43Oh my God.
27:43That everyone in the like little nook we were in.
27:46The Russian spy behind me.
27:48This chick, literally short one has, you can do the rest of the next day.
27:52She's like, she's like, what are you guys drinking?
27:55Like, um, you, we want what you're having.
27:58And we were like, this is interesting.
27:59She was maybe on a date with like an older man.
28:02And we're like, Oh, like we're just talking about serial killers.
28:04Like, are you interested in that?
28:06And she goes, I can tell you how to kill someone with perfume.
28:13And we were like, what?
28:15And then she showed us, she showed us.
28:18Yeah.
28:19She literally took out a lighter, sprayed the perfume.
28:21And we were like, and we were like, holy shit.
28:25She is going to kill this guy she's with tonight.
28:28Yeah.
28:29We're like, murder for hire, murder for hire.
28:34Yeah.
28:34That was it.
28:35Yeah.
28:35Oh, she never gave us her name.
28:36We were like, do you live here?
28:38You should teach a class.
28:40I've now started carrying around spray perfume and lighters.
28:43Lighters.
28:44Who needs mace anymore?
28:45No, seriously.
28:47And the more, you know, your eyebrows off.
28:49Oh my gosh.
28:50It was the funniest night.
28:52I think that we should start a true crime podcast.
28:54I am 1000% in.
28:56Yes.
28:56With Tony.
28:57Because Tony has some stories.
28:58There was some story.
28:59She went and visited a woman who, her husband, this is on murder for hire and oxygen.
29:04See, there you go.
29:05So this woman, this guy slit his wife's throat, then had her hold it as she drove herself
29:12to the hospital.
29:13And she like went into the hospital and they were like, my producer was like, are you fucking
29:17kidding?
29:17She survived.
29:19No way.
29:20She survived.
29:20And the, the husband was like, tell him that like you accidentally, like you tried to commit
29:24suicide.
29:25And, um, and she said that you failed.
29:27No, she like ended up finally being like, he's like an abusive husband and like tried to
29:31kill me.
29:32He tried to kill you.
29:33And then he was, he was arrested.
29:35And then he tried to set someone to murder her from jail.
29:40And the person, like the cops that kind of infiltrated it.
29:43And it was like this undercover cop that was the murderer for hire and ended up like thwarting
29:51the attack.
29:52Cause he was, yeah.
29:54Is that not insane?
29:55This is crazy.
29:56I know.
29:56I started watching one recently, a new, a new serial killer.
30:00Wait, what's his name?
30:01It's on, it's on Netflix right now.
30:03Who am I thinking of?
30:04Somebody help me.
30:05Who's the, who's the new Netflix one?
30:07Well, not abducted in plain sight.
30:08No, not abducted in plain sight.
30:10I was going to say you, but that's not it.
30:12No.
30:13Hold on.
30:13Let me see the like.
30:14Is it a true life?
30:15True lifer?
30:16What?
30:16Oh, Charles Manson?
30:18No.
30:18We did talk about Charles Manson that night too.
30:21It'll come to me.
30:22Wait, have you seen Girlboss?
30:24Yes.
30:24Yes.
30:25I love it.
30:26Yeah.
30:26So good.
30:27With Sophia from, um, uh, Nasty Gal.
30:30How she started Nasty Gal.
30:31Yeah.
30:31Love that.
30:32I love that too.
30:33Well, you're all about the fempire.
30:35So.
30:36Oh yeah.
30:36She, she for sure like gave me a lot of, you know, inspiration.
30:41I was like, yeah, girl, she just wouldn't take no for an answer.
30:44And that's what you have to do.
30:45Yeah.
30:46I like that you just said fempire.
30:47I know.
30:48Shout out to Callie on that.
30:50I love it.
30:51This was so fun.
30:53So much fun.
30:54Come back anytime.
30:54This is like not even, this is like, you know, light work over here.
30:57I know.
30:57This is like what we do, but next time we should have some wine.
31:00I was just going to say, let's push it back to like four or five o'clock on a Friday
31:06next time.
31:06Yeah.
31:07I'll bring some rosé.
31:08You'll bring the rosé.
31:09I actually kicked off rosé season myself the other day.
31:11I had a Whispering Angel.
31:13Oh, really?
31:14Mm-hmm.
31:15I'm into this one.
31:16It's by Provence Rosé Group, and it's, they have an inspiration and emotion.
31:21I love the one that's called Inspiration.
31:24Oh, I like that.
31:25I like that.
31:25I also love my Mayomi.
31:27Oh, you know I love a good Mayomi.
31:29Uh-huh.
31:30Uh-huh.
31:30All year round, baby.
31:32And like Wolfer Estate, they have Summer in a Bottle.
31:35Summer in a Bottle is so good.
31:36So good.
31:36And it's different.
31:37Yeah.
31:37Which I like.
31:38It has like a little bit more of a fruity taste than like the typical dry rosés that
31:44we drink.
31:45So I like that.
31:46Love it.
31:47It's rosé season all season when you're friends with Lindsay Hufford.
31:50Obviously.
31:50And it's like 65 tomorrow, so we're celebrating.
