The Philippine men's baseball team went 3-0 at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games after scoring a 21-0 rout of Malaysia at the at the Baseball Stadium, Queen Sirikit Sports Center in Pathum Thani on Monday, December 8, 2025.
The match was stopped via mercy rule at the top of the fifth inning where the defending champ got its third out with a ground out on Malaysia's Ahmad Syamier Zulkiffli.
Paulo Macaset and Liam De Vera scored four runs apiece for the Filipinos, who produced 21 runs in 10 hits with one error.
The Philippines pulled away in the second inning with eight runs to take a 13-0 lead and eventually blanked an opponent for the second time after its 14-0 shellacking of Indonesia.
The Filipinos face the 1-3 Vietnamese next on Tuesday.
