00:18things about me she's like oh I like how you look because I have some photos of me in there you know
00:22again she's like I'd like to meet you you know here's the thing on the return address on the
00:29envelope it's from a correctional facility
00:32I'm getting jail mail dude
00:37Danny D what's up Mr. Wolf what's going on man how's the weather back there I was talking to my sister
00:58the other day she said it was five degrees well I have the heater sitting under my desk and if I'm
01:03not sweating it's not hot enough so what's this pic you've been talking about for the last few days
01:08it's legendary all right I'm gonna send you to a guy who's got movie props western film stuff like
01:13western stuff from what time period the golden age of Hollywood baby really yeah I mean he's got
01:20costumes he's got wardrobes he's also got a few monster things too dang on top of that he got his
01:27start with Elvis back in the day this legendary pick is somebody you're gonna be familiar with
01:32are you talking about Al Fleming bingo the legendary Al Fleming Al was the guy that we picked a few years
01:41back and he had an incredible story I spent years at MGM Studios I loved every minute of it the guy
01:47worked in Hollywood when the western was still blowing up the box office he was a stuntman a
01:53special effects makeup artist and then got into wardrobe making costumes the guy is a legend
02:00no kidding I'm going to Al Fleming's today hey Hollywood loves the sequel oh man I mean he's
02:07been by him so much more really now he's into an entirely new type of collecting he's into World
02:13War II memorabilia really yeah there's just so much stuff there oh my gosh I can't wait to see he's such
02:20a great dude he's stoked he's expecting you let him know I'm excited to see him you got it be safe
02:26talk to you soon bye
02:30oh man this is so cool oh my gosh
02:44it's so good to see you look at I'm gonna give you one of these anyway you know Danielle didn't tell me I
02:58it's coming here until today I think it's been like six years when I first met Mike we had a lot
03:03of fun and I thought about the time he and Frank were here I enjoyed it the guys were great we found
03:09it so I decided to let a few things go and I don't feel bad about it you've been buying more selling more
03:15both you know what I don't think it's ever gonna leave us is it things are getting harder to find
03:19though oh I know they are hey I gotta ask about this stuff yeah this is my Elkhorn graveyard
03:24originally what I was going to do I was saving all these things I was gonna build an Elkhorn chair
03:29and this last summer I got them all laid out there and figured if I built a chair it's gonna weigh about
03:35three or four hundred pounds this one's decent Al worked in an industry where they had to make
03:40something out of nothing every single day you know so when you look at his aesthetic with this pile of
03:46antlers all of that is still in his blood he wanted to make something out of them that's what's
03:51great about him and he has an incredible eye what are you doing with these oh I'm gonna sell them to
03:57you the horn is fun to work with the uses are endless when it comes to these antlers I mean you
04:03could mount them just the way they are there can be jewelry made out of them there could be lamps made
04:08out of them all of a sudden your home becomes so much more worldly lodgy more traveled all this stuff
04:14is timeless 500 bucks all right send us a coordinates all right have fun Danny's got a great lead for us
04:30she's sending us to see Terry Terry was a racing promoter and once he retired he built himself a
04:36complete general store to house his collection look what's behind these houses i don't think you're
04:42going the right way dude this is the directions it's taking me right here right there see oh yeah
04:50that's cool wow that looks like a freaking general store from drive on johnham down store check out
04:57that freaking nova sitting in the driveway look at this place oh yeah
05:01nice car yeah man you must be terry i'm period how you doing nice to see you talk to danielle on
05:10the phone talk to danielle on the phone i'm john you're john yeah nice to meet you man what's up with
05:15the nova all original 1973 73 yeah it's straight what motor got in it 305 it's got the v8 it loves gas
05:25gloves gas terry is my kind of guy he's got a 1970s nova all original paint with a v8 in it my buddy
05:32growing up had one of these things all souped up big fat tires let me ask you this is this car for
05:38sale no one would ever pay what it would take to buy it i'd have a hard time selling something that
05:43was my dad's yeah exactly since it was my dad's there's a lot of sentimental value to it i'll probably
05:49keep it the rest of my life so danny said you did racing promotions i've been in that this is nascar
05:54country in the nascar country yeah this is have you ever had any big names dale earnhardt one time
06:00you had dale earnhardt you were on your track yeah on a dirt track dale earnhardt was rookie of the
06:05year he raced against the locals for me dale earnhardt to define a promoter he's a gambler he puts
06:12an event together and he gambles that people show up to pay the bills as well as a profit
06:18mainly it would be dirt track racing cars i was the manager of four different dirt tracks we would
06:24have twelve fifteen hundred people in attendance and i was in love with it i never had a desire to
06:31drive a race car i had the desire to sell tickets sure sure right i love anything to do with speed
06:37i'm a motorcycle guy i like mechanics i like the way things go fast it's so cool to go to a big national
06:42race that's on television but it's cooler to go to a regional race because it's guys who are local
06:47these are guys who are building cars in their garage that just want to get out there on saturday
06:51night and have a good time and show off their skills dale earnhardt started in the dirt just like
06:56these guys all right boys let me show you the shop here we have some racing planes in here photos and so
07:03on oh man what's going on with this what's this i don't know for sure that came off of merle haggard's
07:12old railroad car that he lived in back and forth when he was on the road really but i don't know
07:17what that he said was railroad but crc so you knew him pretty well yeah really he and buck owens what
07:23were those guys like merle we used to go over to he had a place out in the middle of nowhere and we
07:28take our muzzle loading rifles and teepees out there and shoot muzzle loading rifles no kidding you
07:32guys would just be camping out there i said would he bust out the guitar around the fire yeah would he
07:36really wow a couple drinks and he'd bust out all kind of stuff around the fire al's out playing
07:43lonesome dub with merle haggard i mean come on what a life this guy's had i mean where do you find
07:49stuff like this authentic what do you value that at would you sell that what are you thinking you
07:54tell me i don't know i mean i don't either i don't know reasonable offer 125 sold all right
08:03that's so cool let's go inside it's getting cold out here all right i got you i got you
08:09welcome to my abode oh yeah my 30 abode yeah you do have more in here man i look at the walls this is
08:16my life and it gives me a warm feeling i feel like i've really accomplished something in my life look at
08:21the energy you exchanged with people on the set and all and the fact that you weren't just on set you
08:26were creating things on set that was fun for me it's so cool to walk around and see all these
08:32photographs on the walls of all the people that he worked with and what they're saying when they
08:37write something they all respected him he's got so much to be proud of and i'm honored to walk
08:43through this stuff with him man what's this movie poster right here that came from a trash bed at
08:49engine studios back in the 60s really it's hand painted on linen 1928 they had thrown it out i went
08:56that's pretty cool i was a dumpster diver people thought i was crazy dragging all this junk out
09:02of the dumpsters i was going into prop departments looking at the old musty corners and dragging stuff
09:07out and they go what do you want that old crap for to me it was treasure just magical stuff i was a
09:14junk man is it the artwork for the poster no this is the poster but how would they reproduce them then
09:20they did that's the one oh that's it oh so this would have been in a theater specifically for
09:26gary cooper in doomsday with an all-star cast acclaimed one of the greatest movies ever made
09:33i've never seen one painted like that wow i just thought it was neat because coop was in it
09:37i got to beat mark gary cooper a few years before he passed so i got to sit down and talk to him
09:42as a kid my heroes were the western movie stars you see on the batman saturday movies
09:47i mean i couldn't imagine meeting these people so to me it's a fairy tale i mean i i my whole life
09:52has been one adventure after the next can i make you an offer on it yeah but i won't take it that's
09:58my favorite poster they make an awful big hole in the wall i put a note on it when i kick the buck
10:03i'll have my kid call mike and i'll give it to him he'll own it one day all right all right all right
10:09oh my gosh walking into al's place is overwhelming it's almost like there was an earthquake at the
10:15smithsonian and most of it ended up on al's floor there's stuff everywhere there's native american
10:20stuff there's world war one world war ii cowboy stuff jewelry pottery i mean he lives in his
10:27collection and i'm that same way when you come in my house there's probably about two or three
10:32different coffee tables well guess what you can't see the top of them because there's a lot of
10:36different things i know you're into world war ii stuff what about any like patches or anything like
10:41that yeah i do have some patches over here somewhere if i can find them dang man if you're
10:47lucky oh my god are you kidding me no way see i tried to categorize this is all airborne army air
10:55force oh my god it's incredible most of this though is world war ii or latest korea wow al is a
11:01collector's collector he's got such elevated things and such interesting historical pieces that it's
11:08amazing to be at his home here at this time in his life when he wants to sell some of this stuff
11:13what about that one this is flying tigers this is like that lighter i bought off you that's cool
11:19this belonged to a fighter pilot that was a member of the flying tigers okay this is a china burman india
11:24sign his name was stevenson 350 for it all right thank you i love it during world war ii china was our
11:31ally the flying tigers were basically american pilots that were volunteers that went to china
11:37to fight against japan during world war ii and that's a nice hand-painted leather patch too
11:43yeah well this would go great with that lighter would you take 200 for this one if you talk to
11:47me nice i love you brother okay i've got that lighter i've got it right on my coffee table
11:54right next to my incense burner so this would be cool with that i would have sold it oh my gosh i love
11:59it this is going to go great with it thank you he's got the lighter he ought to have the patch because i
12:05make a great display on it it came from the same person so it's got a good home they're back together
12:09again a lot of photos in here man wow what's the guy is that like a jet car there or something what's
12:22going on with that i think it's already affront isn't it well what the heck's he in that looks like
12:26some bonneville he's on bonneville bonneville that's a pretty cool photo world land speed record the green
12:32monster wow you want to sell that photo yeah i care about this photo because it's salt flat racing
12:38the salt flats is where some of the most amazing speed records are attained to this day because it
12:44is a flat piece of ground salt that is dead flat for miles and miles and you could run a vehicle as
12:51fast as can possibly go it's god's country for racing for speed 40 bucks all right 40 40 40 thank you
13:00this is cool how about this you know what that is don't you that's for incense yeah you put incense
13:10i think i like to keep it i burn incense every morning while i'm reading you do yeah yeah i do
13:15i do 40 push-ups burn some incense read my book drink nine cups of coffee and then start my day
13:23sometimes 12. and you're wound tight oh i'm already wound tight what's up with this guy who's that that's a
13:29wax guy he's got cowboy look tom i'm funny i'll go to buy an oddball piece that i never bought before
13:34and go that's pretty neat so i've branched out into things that aren't interesting or different
13:40or just things that i like looking at how about this indian probably 350 on that 300. all right i got
13:48you what about this this inkwell that's probably from the 20s or 30s this is an inkwell that's been
13:53customized for the gentleman his name is on it jack sinclair very cool very interesting item and that's
14:01all hand forged i see that what are you thinking on that probably a buck and a half done and then what
14:07about these seoul korea yeah 47 to 49. the skull and crossbones on these patches are very crude but
14:14these are very cool what do you think for the set 400 bucks you got it thank you man and then i saw
14:21these two man what about the buffaloes look at those those would have went on the bridle the buffalo
14:25bill museum is right behind the house oh so i love anything like that those are from the 20s or 40s
14:30they're amazing probably 150 on those all right i'm doing it i'm put those in my case here's what
14:36hollywood did instead of using flintlock guns yeah they took a trapdoor springfield which was a cap and
14:41ball where they could put the blank in there oh okay they made these big brass hammers to go on it
14:47and so it could fire they didn't have to keep loading them wow that's cool so that was a prop from
14:52the movie yeah the last command was sterling hayden well where did you get it at from a prop man of mine
14:58would you sell this probably about 400. this is such a cool prop you know this movie was based on the
15:05alamo battle i want to buy this thing i mean this is a big deal 350. it's yours all right thanks man
15:13i love it on those days it had no value other than a prop to me had a lot of value because it was
15:19a real artifact from this movie they were going to destroy i saved it
15:27so terry was this a building here that you bought some place and then relocated it over here
15:32i constructed it oh you built the building built the building here yeah it's cool my love for the general
15:38store was i grew up next door to my uncle's general store so i was somewhat his adopted son and i probably
15:46spent more time in the general store than i did at home and i got more education from the people that
15:52were at the general store than i did from the school i started to then i bought the phillips 66
15:58sign cause my uncle's store was the phillips 66 station so what's inside this building it's full oh my god
16:05robbie look at this oh man wow yeah man you got it packed in here dude you got ham cooking if you're
16:13collecting and you find something that really appeals to you it sets you on fire man the general store
16:21was the information place of the community in the 50s when i was a kid the farmers gathered in there at
16:28night they played checkers they gossiped and of course there was a lot of white liquor drinking around
16:33there it's like stepping back in time so you're really passionate about doing this i mean this
16:39took a long time this didn't happen overnight terry it didn't happen overnight oh heck no the general
16:44store is bulging at the seams there's things that survived in their original packaging there's still
16:51moon pies in the wrappers it is packed like spam in a can all this stuff is extremely well preserved
16:58i mean this guy is taking it to a different level terry this thing is cool man davy crockett
17:04they're pins they're pins davy crockett was a frontiersman in the 1830s he was a real american
17:11hero he fought in the alamo so anything davy crockett is going to appeal to a kid reading
17:17history books reading about frontier life and these pins is something for a kid to really enjoy and they're
17:23on a nice display with great graphics on it check this thing out let's pull out a case whoa hop along
17:29cassidy piece doesn't have the top to it but that's in here hop along cassidy watch hop along cassidy
17:35was a fictional cowboy character from the 30s to the 50s playing on the romance of the old west the
17:43hop along cassidy is always going to be collectible here is a nice display the wristwatch is intact never
17:50been worn never been touched it's a juvenile watch what's the group price for this 150. how's it
17:56gonna go 125 150 150. hop along cassidy is pretty popular thing 140. all right all right buddy thank
18:04you so much yes man this is amazing what a great opportunity to come in here really appreciate you
18:08letting us do this you got some great stuff here
18:10i don't think i showed you this last time mike but this is another little uh coal full of junk
18:22i collect a little bit of everything i like cowboy indian old weapons older military items as a kid i
18:30grew up on a horse ranch in florida and in those days most of the movies were westerns and my first heroes
18:36were cowboys and as i got older i thought it was wonderful to have a piece of the real thing that
18:41i could relate back to my childhood and i look at this stuff and i enjoy it this is cool man here's
18:47more antlers four full hides there's a lot of this stuff in here you're keeping it to make things well
18:53see i built the costumes for the studio for years yeah so i've got boxes of leather everywhere when i was a
18:59kid you know i was working in a small town in florida elvis brosley came to town i ended up going to
19:04hollywood with elvis from then i've bettered everything from an actor stuntman prop maker
19:09to making costumes spent 57 years in the film industry i won an emmy for the costumes on
19:16magnificent seven this is a tv series okay probably 86 87 wow i made all the leather costumes for that
19:22all the leather costumes from wild bill jeff bridges no it was all hand-sewn it was no machine i went back
19:28and researched hickok his buckskin jackets and all the things and made patterns to fit jeff
19:34bridges to actually look just like wild bill so you were basically in a lot of these big actors
19:40and big actresses personal space yeah i don't know if you bought movie poster that's an old i think a
19:45roy rogers poster up there look at that pretty bad condition roy rogers trigger the smartest horse in
19:52the movies trigger did you ever work with him i knew roy we used to shoot skeet and trap together
19:57really i can tell you a funny story about roy rogers if you look at all the old roy rogers movies there
20:02was a guy in there called black jack o'shea he played all the bad guys well he was roy's buddy
20:07so when jack retired roy bought him a little shack along the railroad tracks down to tarzana california
20:13they started o'shea's trash and treasures oh which is an antique store really so when i first came
20:19out here i was doing stunt shows on the weekends and i always stopped by and see jack because a lot
20:23of the old stunt members there all the old cowboys great stories i can't even imagine so i kept asking
20:29jack i'd like to meet roy so when he comes down next time i will call you so i get a phone call
20:34and he says get your ass over here roy's here so i got my best cowboy outfit i'm wearing down there
20:40walked into the little shack i'm going did he leave he goes no he's in the back room says come on so we
20:46opened the back door roy's laying on the bunk bed back there drunk as a skunk just passed out
20:51i said oh grab his feet we took him out to jack's old pickup truck that had a mattress in the back
20:57put in the back of the pickup truck we drove him over to the ranch and dale and all the kids come
21:02up and loaded years later when i met him again i said you know i met you years ago you did i said oh
21:09god don't tell me about that story oh my god al found his passion and had the opportunity at the
21:15perfect time in his life because he used to watch these guys as a young man the movies and then coming
21:22of age being able to be in the industry and still see them working how amazing is that behind all of
21:29these guys there were so many people behind the camera working really hard to create the scenes
21:36create the wardrobe do the makeup the stunts all of that for the camera and the light to shine on them
21:43there are no self-made men there's so many people working so hard al was one of those guys for
21:49decades what an honor to know some of these guys that's beautiful man what do you value this at
21:5625 bucks i was going to give you a 50. okay i'll do that all right thank you buddy i love that and
22:03roy was just a super nice down-to-earth guy and he loved to get out with the guys and shoot the guns
22:08and tell the stories and i loved every minute of it how about world war ii jackets oh wow
22:14you can tell that's been worn a lot this is what i love about al's collection we're jumping from
22:19the wild west to world war ii oh my god yeah look at that patch the jacket is standard issue the patch
22:26is not a lot of artwork like this or nose art was created by somebody on the crew or on the base all
22:34of this stuff was inspired by a brotherhood that was spiritual i mean when these guys left they had no
22:40idea if they were going to come back that kind of uncertainty seeps into the fabric there are a lot of
22:47collectors out there that care about the condition of the jacket i'm not that guy this is an incredible
22:53patch i'm buying this jacket for this one patch there's nothing on the back so what are you thinking
22:58on this so basically what i'm buying here is the coat that's you know it's rough strictly for display
23:04yeah but yeah for oh absolutely all this stuff i buy like this is for display but i've been
23:08collecting it for a while now like i mean what would you want for this one in this shape with this
23:13patch that's the patch this one yeah this one's probably around 350 yeah how about 300
23:23okay this is sitting out here in the box oh my god i love it i love it i appreciate it
23:32there's a lot of stuff in here i mean it's amazing how well everything is preserved look at this for
23:35example i mean dude i remember buying those when i was a kid look at this a space master paper kite
23:41this child's kite blows me away it's from the 50s it's made out of tissue paper it has all the iconic
23:49figures of the space age that is amazing that it survived because it's so delicate it's hard to display
23:55okay 60. yeah i'll do 60. yeah thank you man i preach i mean it's just so unusual
24:00terry yes sir look at that jersey monroe sent car fresheners 1954. cool thing is it's all intact
24:08and this is the greatest fishing lure ever made the fact that these are spinners that's my favorite
24:13kind because these things fish just bite they don't make stuff like this anymore 130 for the pair
24:19okay all right appreciate you yeah thank you thank you terry i'm looking at using these lures what is
24:25up with this it's an anvil yeah but anvil salesman that was his sample he took around to show it's
24:31pot metal it's very lightweight i think it's more of a decorative piece i think 30 bucks 40. 35 sold
24:37all right dude i like this all right good so we're buying stuff i love it look at that herald smoked sardines
24:44these sardine cans were meant to look like a book on a shelf but when you opened it up it had the sardine
24:49cans displayed in this i'd say that's the 30s wouldn't you oh a minimum 125. let's go 150. 130.
24:58that's a round number sold all right it takes a special person to buy sardine can and you found
25:02the special person that's me that's you hey terry yes sir you got this cabinet back here actually i think
25:09i found the automotive section there's clamps up here radiator clamp supports you'd be interested in
25:15maybe selling this cabinet so it's purolator on it i probably would purolator was an air filter
25:21company that when you saw guys on the nascar track that was the company that had the air cleaner on
25:26their car this one is in great shape it's got the red the yellow and the white and it's perfect looks
25:32like it's probably from the late 50s early 60s i would say it looks like it was probably just for air
25:39filters it's got a bunch of oil filters and stuff inside it i don't really want those but it's got great
25:43color on it that's for certain i don't care what's inside it the cabinet is the advertising piece
25:48would you do 200 on it no i don't believe i do i'd do three to find it in this condition very unusual
25:57how about here i'll do this for you how about 300 and you throw in the automobile clamp thing up top
26:03three and a quarter i'll do that three and a quarter i could use that clamp piece in my shop i'm always
26:08digging around for some of those are old timey clamps that's all right though they got those cool old
26:13school ones i like this stuff it's the old school class like 1940s
26:24the whole collection you have is museum quality this is one of graham green's shirts from dances
26:29with wolves really god that's one of my favorite movies man i got that directly from graham no kidding
26:35so when actors are doing film is it unusual for them to acquire things like that like how do they get
26:40that stuff you know some of them like mcqueen they always got all the costumes they wore so did you
26:46know mcqueen yeah no kidding like what was he like i can tell you a little secret story if you want to
26:52hear it i want to hear any stories about steve mcqueen well we were doing a film called the getaway
26:57steve mcqueen ali mcgroff sam peckinpah director were shooting in san marcos texas and i was doing special
27:02effects makeup on the show and that first morning he says hey i'll come over i want to meet him
27:07so you were going to do see mcqueen's makeup yeah so i was all excited you know i go over there and
27:12he's in a motorhome he's got his entourage that's traveling with him and in the motorhome a lot of
27:16people know he's got two little spotlights over the kitchen table that barely lighted it yeah because
27:21go ahead and start your makeup i said steve it's too dark in here i can't do it i want you to do it now
27:26i said well it's a prosthetic job with a bullet head i said i can't do it because there's no lighting
27:32if i make one mistake we got to start all over there so i said come on over across the walkway
27:37makeup trailers over everything all set up let do it and i started walking he grabbed me he goes
27:43i want you to do it now and i said steve you got one more poke and he looked at his buddy there
27:49laughing he went like that and i saw open-handed knocked him on his ass oh you just smacked him down
27:55yeah he fell back into the booth yeah and he said you sob you're never going to work again your
28:01career's over i went didn't have a job but i got this job so i'm walking over and i'm packing my
28:05stuff away and ali mcgraw comes in she goes al what are you doing i said steve just fired me so i'm
28:12packing all my crap and i'm out of here she goes you can't leave i want you here to do my effects when
28:18it comes up and i won't work with anybody else and i said well steve fired me she says don't go any
28:23place i'll be right back so she comes back with sam peckinpah the director he goes okay she told me
28:29the story he says i've been wanting to hit that son of a since the first time i met him he says
28:35you're not fired stay here you'll fly somebody in just to do steve oh my gosh time progressed and
28:41every morning i'd go to work i'd stop by and go morning mr steve mcqueen how are you mr mcqueen
28:47you were egging him on yeah and i've got to give him credit though about halfway through the film
28:52he goes i owe you an apology he says i was totally out of line i was unprofessional
28:57you did what you're supposed to do and he said will you shake my hand i said sure sure we became
29:01friends after that i rode baha with him and everything he's a good guy oh my gosh good guy
29:07i got to give him credit he manned up and apologized so i respect the man totally this is what happens
29:13when you ask a stunt man to be a makeup artist i mean it's just insane but it's so cool that he held
29:20his ground he went toe to toe i'm in the presence of greatness he's a man's man he's a woman's man
29:26he's a dog's man he's everything a man should be and more
29:35pretty amazing history here look at that one here's some photos from a donkey basketball donkey
29:41basketball yeah i got the book in donkey basketball so guys riding donkeys and try to make baskets i think
29:48i remember this in high school they came to my school one year and i booked 200 one night events
29:54in 14 different states what is donkey ball you have eight donkeys four donkeys at each end of the court
30:00two teams and they have to be riding the donkey when shooting but the donkeys are trained to throw them
30:07off chase them bite them it was a fundraiser for the schools usually one of the teams had to be made up of
30:14the teachers and kids would buy a ticket to see the teacher thrown from the donkey and a lot of times
30:19the principal would be what was referred to as a pooper scooper if the donkeys had an accident on the
30:25floor they'd pack the gym out every night so i gotta ask a question because i collect photographs oh you
30:31do i got a lot of i probably have 8 000 photographs of things that intrigue me would you be interested in
30:36selling one of your donkey pictures well you're getting pretty personal now i know that makes it very
30:42expensive i know i get it i get it but it's just a cool story to tell i love that i don't know what
30:49kind of value would you place on that hundred bucks sold there you go that wasn't too hard tell
30:56you the name of the donkeys oh you know the name of the donkeys oh yeah
30:59what's the deal with the oscar what's the deal with that oh my god that's got some weight to it
31:14okay in 1928 they were trying to get a design for an award to give to actors well this is one of the
31:20prototypes to oscar this is the prototype for the oscar yeah who has a prototype oscar in their house and on
31:29top of that slapped steve mcqueen to the ground al fleming whoa yeah a woman came back to me as a
31:36joke she says you want an oscar i went yes i said i'll never win one and she goes here you can have
31:43this and i never realized it was until i started screwing around with it and it's all about scratching
31:48on the bottom of it base style rs number two november 27 28. what do you value that at that actually
31:57should go to the hollywood museum down there really because it's something that should stay with the
32:00hollywood i think for sure look at that oh my gosh what a piece of history that is a business
32:07so i gotta ask there's a couple signs i'm a huge advertising guy the one i like the most is the
32:18board yeah it's embossed too robbie yeah that's why i like it when it has uh animal on it makes it more
32:23valuable doesn't it 100 yeah we talk about buying character signs all the time the better the character
32:29the more valuable the piece that's painted metal not porcelain sign actual value wise what would it be
32:35five hundred dollars i think it's got a value of about eight to nine hundred eight to nine hundred
32:40yeah i'd be a player at 600. i believe i'll hang on to it that's a good offer well you gotta step up
32:46to the plate we're here to buy if i would sell something off at the side of the store it'd leave
32:52a hole so to speak what about this gillette tire sign on the other side it's got a polar bear on it
32:57right here it's got a big whammy right on the bear i'll probably let that and go being on the rear
33:02end of the store it's not as visible that's an embossed one but it's got a great look the gillette
33:07tiger sign that's on the back it's got a polar bear on it and it's not the greatest shape but it's a
33:12good piece a little rough here robbie all right that's rougher than a corn cob in 1972 yeah should
33:18you do uh 325. i'd like to start about five yeah oof it's tough and it's a 70 sign yeah i know that
33:28it's not perfect yeah would you go four 375. i'd like to have four out of it i just never did like
33:36odd numbers like that i like those even hundred i wouldn't have sold it had it been off of the side
33:42of the store but i was satisfied price wise
33:45the market is
33:53perry yeah sir look at this it's got like the clothing department here look at these lee jeans
33:59size 29 by 31 that's for somebody really small pointer brand jeans 34 ways there you go
34:04here's kids jeans mavericks dc brand all this stuff is made in usa oh yeah this is dead stock denim
34:11unused inventory from the 70s some maybe even to the 60s you rarely see that you got other ones up
34:19here too and these are overalls red camel brand new old stock you got another set up there too these are
34:25oshkosh 28 by 33. here's another set of lee yeah i love denim i didn't see these whoa what really
34:32intrigues me whenever i see any workwear or denim is that designers who are making clothing use vintage
34:39products to inspire them to make their denim let me make you offer one two three four pairs of overalls
34:47right there overhauls 150 a pair today well these because they're kid size it's gonna be hard to get
34:53that kind of money for them one two three four five i'm thinking like 225. make it 250 and take them with
35:01you 250 yeah you know what i'm not gonna argue with buddy thank you so much man i really appreciate
35:06it there's so much stuff here i mean look at this axe s-wing embossed leather case it's brand new
35:12the s-wing company makes a high quality product they have a beautiful way they use a forged handle
35:17that incorporates the head it's very strong then i found this piece carborundum is a store display
35:23advertising thing for a sharpening stone people come in and sharpen their knife yep this is used
35:2875 for both of them 65 bucks all right so all right i'm not done with you yet i love this the
35:34kitty boots yeah that's got to have some age oh that is so neat look at it play boots adjustable
35:41straps so they're plastic boots the cowboy boot display is so cool because they're kids cowboy boots
35:46i mean they're just adorable it's been patched up a little bit with some tape but it's still there
35:51i believe about 50. you think about 50 bucks yeah you know what that's exactly what i was thinking too
35:56all right buddy thank you so much very very good check these things out ah cool that display is
36:01nice i know when i walked into a general store when i was a kid it was all about the soda the lollipops
36:07and the pocket knives there's another one that is great when i was seven years old my dad gave me
36:14a pocket knife it was a rite of passage it just takes you back to a time when i see these pocket knives
36:19i think about my grandkids i think about my children is it broken a top rob yeah this piece got broke
36:25missing one knife i wouldn't take less than 300 for both of them 250. uh okay three that barlow you
36:33wouldn't find a complete display like that shake the man's hand yeah we got to get them they're nice
36:40man you're right the barlow display is awesome it's pretty amazing this stuff survived it's just another
36:45example of how well terry preserved everything in here and this is just a testament to terry's ambitious
36:52project terry been a heck of a day he put this beautiful general store all together in a wonderful
36:59building to help preserve history it's an amazing accomplishment appreciate appreciate you coming
37:04by see us in iowa nice meeting you my friend yes sir i have never sold anything until today when they
37:11complimented me on the condition of the various items it certainly made me feel good and it was a very
37:18enjoyable experience come see us in leclair i've got a cowgirl collection over here let me see that
37:34what's going on with that put it over here that's i think this is the only spot in the house where we
37:39can look at stuff it's a very historical rodeo thing one of the ladies who actually started the women's
37:45rodeo in the 1880s this is her entire collection she was a lady that started the rodeo cowgirls
37:52association back in the 1920s this is her scrapbooks wow this ever clippings first mission books oh there
38:00this is her right here bertha blanchette she was actually the first lady in rodeo to ride a bronco
38:06to professionally ride in a rodeo wow and that was unheard of in those days oh my gosh absolutely
38:12so she was a tough old gal wow look at all this where'd you get this stuff at a guy bought a
38:17storage unit this was in it and he called me said you buy cowboy stuff do you buy photographs
38:22wow these are so great you know where i went to and it was the most badass thing man you've been to
38:27the cowgirl hall of fame yeah did you see all those outfits in there did you see annie oakley's in there
38:33my daughter charlie and i went to the cowgirl hall of fame in fort worth texas a couple years ago
38:38it was a place my daughter wanted to visit it was on her list and i remember seeing some of bertha
38:45blanchette's things in there dang this is incredible i mean there's so much history here
38:51women like bertha blanchette forged the past struck the iron for so many others if you're a woman in
38:57riding and rodeo right now bertha blanchette's history is part of your history so it's so wild
39:03to see a box of all these personal images of hers a lot of these things are other ladies that were
39:10in the rodeos that were friends of hers look at them jumping over that car oh my gosh these were
39:15the gals that went out there and busted their tail and had to prove themselves to the old tough cowboys
39:20that they were worthy of going out there and becoming yeah rodeo stars exactly it is interesting
39:25that a lot of these photos have the names of the people in the photos yeah some of them have it on the
39:30back if they don't have it on the front yeah it's just good early stuff with the rodeos so what are you
39:34going to do with all this stuff i'd be interested in this are you interested in selling this i was
39:38going to try to get it to somebody probably you'd be a good one to get it because i thought it should
39:42be kept together absolutely because this is the beginning of certain rodeoing well absolutely and i
39:47think also too i look at it the images and how personal a lot of the stuff is to me it'd be an
39:53amazing book you know what i mean do the research i'm too old to be taking on a project like this
39:58yeah but it has to be done because i've never found a complete archives of early yeah cowboy stuff
40:06that hasn't been published absolutely what are you thinking on this stuff to you i'd go a thousand
40:12dollars on it i think that's a good price i think it is too and i think there's a responsibility that
40:20comes with it i'm game for it i'm up for the task okay i truly am we're saving a piece of history that
40:26otherwise would probably be thrown out burned off absolutely any of this stuff i feel like i'm
40:32preserving the history of it for whoever comes next and it's a hell of a book i look forward to
40:37see what he does with it well you've got me excited about it good this needs to be moved forward i want
40:43to be the guy that puts it in its right place so whether that's the cowgirl hall of fame or connecting
40:49it with maybe a family member i understand the responsibility of owning it all right we got the rest of
40:54the antlers this is one of the things i love about my job you know circling back with guys that over
41:01the years have become my mentor you know every time i come to al's house i want to stay there for a month
41:06you know it's like i just want to be an apprentice i'm such a sponge and he's just got so much knowledge
