00:35Fitness buffs Frankie and Jacques are looking for a property away from the city that gives them lots of space both indoors and outdoors to welcome their friends and family for big parties and epic game nights.

00:52Competition shows up in our fitness but also with our friends.

00:57This is a very touchy subject and we will discuss this off camera.
01:01I'm the owner of a private school.
01:03And I'm a radiologist.
01:04I'm definitely the more opinionated one.
01:06But I know what I want and I'm definitely sticking to my guns.

01:10I grew up in a small town in South Africa so I'm used to wide open spaces, lots of water.
01:15So a lakefront home would really give me that sense of home.
01:18A lakefront property just seems like the perfect way to have those epic game nights and just have a ton of fun.
01:22On my wish list, we need a space big enough to entertain friends and family.
01:27We definitely need a primary ensuite with a double vanity.
01:29I want to be outside and be able to run down the dock straight into the water.
01:33And I really want a big kitchen that I can really be part of the action while still making Frankie's favourite dishes.
01:39We are super excited to start this journey looking for a lakefront home.
01:42We are definitely going to host the biggest and best parties.
01:46Agent Sue Tavana will be working with Frankie and Jacques to find their dream home on the water with lots of space to entertain.

01:56I think I found them the perfect house that's got tons of entertainment space both inside and out.

02:08The open concept living space has vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.
02:13The spacious kitchen has a sink with views out to the lake.
02:16The ensuite bathroom has a double sink vanity and a soaker tub with lake views.
02:20Outside, there's an in-ground saltwater pool and a hot tub, all sitting on four acres with 160 feet of water frontage.

02:40These amazing windows, 13-foot ceilings with that open concept design.
02:44We want to host, we want to entertain, and I feel like all of these spaces would really allow us to do that.
02:49But I feel like the dining area is a little bit cramped.

02:54How spacious is this, Frankie?
02:56I know, and the fridge is huge.
02:57Of course you would love the fridge.
02:59It's the biggest fridge I've ever seen.
03:01It's got a glass cooktop, and it's got a great view out to the water.
03:04I love the fact that it's so open-plan.
03:06But Frankie, what do you think about the backsplash?
03:09Yeah, I don't necessarily love that part.
03:12The backsplash is an easy fix.
03:14There's another room I think you're also going to enjoy, the primary bedroom, so follow me.
03:17Oh my goodness, another beautiful view.
03:21Those vaulted ceilings carried throughout with the deck that opens up.
03:25I love the inside-outside living with the deck right outside.
03:28I also like the carpet.
03:30It really does give that warmth.
03:31Yeah, I'm not crazy about the carpet.
03:33It feels a little bit old school.
03:34Certainly it's an easy change to fix.
03:36Why don't we check out the primary ensuite?
03:39This is nice and big.
03:40This primary ensuite has double vanity, marble countertop, a separate jet soaker tub, which
03:46you can enjoy those beautiful views.
03:48I love the double vanity, but I'm not sure about the bathtub and the shower.
03:52I think those will need to be updated.
03:53I feel like it definitely hits the function, though.
03:56The good news is, much like the carpet, this is an easy fix.

04:03Welcome to your outdoor resort space.
04:07You can enjoy stargazing out here, beautiful sunsets, with your walk down to your fire pit,
04:12and just behind me, you've got a saltwater pool.
04:15We can have some pretty big parties here.
04:17It's giving high maintenance.
04:19I think that's definitely a slight drawback.
04:21The other thing is the proximity to the water.
04:23This is just a little bit further than we would like.
04:25Speaking of the waterfront, why don't we go take a look?

04:30It's beautiful, but this is not saying, let's jump in the lake.
04:35We just can't do that here.

04:59Sue, the minute we walked into the great room, the thing I noticed was the wall of windows
05:03and the amazing view out to the lake.
05:05But I found the inside dining space to be quite cramped.
05:08When we walked into the kitchen, I really thought, wow, this is a really, really big space.
05:12And the fact that it's open plan makes me feel that I'm going to be part of the conversation
05:16whilst cooking.
05:17The only problem was the backsplash.
05:18The primary bedroom is really a great size.
05:21And I must say, the private deck was really the cherry on top.
05:24Walking into the ensuite, I was quite surprised about how big it is.
05:27And I love the double vanity.
05:28But the bathtub and the shower really, really need to go.
05:31When we walked outside, it felt like I was walking into a resort.
05:34And we can have a massive backyard party.
05:37But we're quite far away from the waterfront.
05:39And there was not really any swimmable water.
05:41So, Sue, with that in mind, we would really like to see a property with some more open
05:45water.
05:45I'm going to get to work and find you another property.
05:48Sue definitely showed us a home with a lot of entertainment spaces.
05:51But we need somewhere that we can actually swim and enjoy the dark.
05:58Frankie and Jacques are searching for a lakefront home with enough space to host parties for
06:02their friends and family.
06:04The first property had an open concept main floor and a resort-like backyard.
06:09Modern Oasis is a 6,100 square foot newly built home with six bedrooms and four and a half
06:14bathrooms.
06:15The open great room and kitchen have 30 foot vaulted ceilings and sliding doors that lead
06:20out to a patio.
06:21The kitchen has a 16-foot island.
06:24The primary bedroom has vaulted ceilings and an ensuite with views of the water.
06:28On the upper level, there's a self-contained loft suite with a kitchenette, bedroom, and
06:32bathroom.
06:33Outside, there's a fire pit that overlooks the lake on 140 feet of water frontage.

07:23And right next to the great room, we've got this incredible dining space.

07:37There's one other space where I'm sure you're going to be wanting to spend a lot of time

07:48It brings back that same element from the great room.
07:50Also, I think the great room, of course, is these large vaulted ceilings again.
07:54I think compared to the main space, it's just not giving me that grandeur luxury that I was

08:02Even though this room might not be wowing you, I hope that the ensuite will.

08:09There's a couple standout features like the large oversized window above the soaker tub

08:15There are definitely some elements that I love, the window, the double vanities, but
08:19these tiles seem a little bit too beachy.

08:52The first thing that comes to mind is just another space for friends and family to stay.

09:06You've got the fire pit to enjoy those sunsets and the gorgeous panoramic views of the water.

09:14I said the water was accessible, but it doesn't look very accessible now.
09:17But they're putting in some steps down to the water.
09:19Will they be installing a dock as well?
09:20No, they don't have any plans to install a dock.
09:23I mean, the dream is really to have that dock that we can run off of into the water.

09:28Why don't we go inside and recap everything we've seen today?
09:32Jacques and Frankie, we've just seen this incredible, custom-built new home that is 6,100 square feet,
09:38six bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, with 140 feet of water frontage.
09:43And the price of this property is $2.9 million.
09:48It's an amazing property.
09:49I do feel like the price is fair.

09:54The moment we walked into the kitchen, I was overwhelmed.
09:57There was amazing views.
09:58The 30-feet ceilings were incredible.
10:01I love that it's an open plan and that the kitchen and the great room all flow in together.
10:05But overall, I think the primary bedroom felt small,
10:08especially compared to the grandeur of the entire property.
10:12The bathroom had everything else that we wanted.
10:14A big soaker tub with a view, the double vanities.
10:16The only downside was those tiles.
10:18It didn't feel luxurious like the rest of the home.
10:21And a separate loft area.
10:22Amazing.
10:23I was definitely not expecting that.
10:25That view was the million-dollar view of the house.
10:28I was very glad to hear that they're going to put stone steps to the waterfront so that we can access the water.
10:33However, adding a dock is going to be another expanse.
10:36So, Sue, with that in mind, we'd love to see another property that really does give us that dock.
10:41And I think I can make that happen for you guys.
10:43Sue really did show us an amazing modern custom build.
10:46But for that price, I wanted to hit all the marks.
10:49We're still looking for that dock that we can just run into the water from, so I can't wait to see what Sue shows us next.

12:03Here we've got a zone for hanging out, playing some games.
12:07And it's combined with the dining space.
12:09And right behind the dining space, you've got this beautiful stone fireplace.
12:13And just beyond the stone fireplace, you've got your sunken-in living space.

12:18I love the double fireplace.
12:19Like, to me, that gives luxury.
12:21It gives a cool element to the space.
12:23And I love the fact that there are so many zones, but yet they still feel combined.
12:27With that, why don't we check out the kitchen?
12:30What a beautiful kitchen.

12:32This is truly a chef's kitchen.
12:34It's got granite countertops, as well as a separate island.
12:37But truly, my favorite part about this kitchen is the island over here that's got that separate induction cooktop.
12:43It's got the views of the water.
12:44I think it's got everything.

12:46I can just see our friends coming around this island, having a few drinks, celebrating, having fun.
12:52And I agree with you, Sue.
12:53I think my favorite part is that induction cooktop.
12:55But I must say, the cabinets and the countertops feel a little bit dark and dated.
12:59It's very simple to swap out countertops and cabinetry.
13:03But I can't wait to show you the primary bedroom.

13:09You've even got a little reading nook over here.
13:12This is the first primary bedroom that you've shown us that actually feels like a primary bedroom.
13:16It is very convenient having the primary on the same floor as the entertainment areas.
13:20But I do feel that takes away a little bit of our privacy.
13:22Well, why don't we go check out the primary ensuite?
13:25Oh, wow, it's beautiful.
13:26You immediately see this huge shower.
13:28It's got four jets.
13:30I know on your wish list was to get those double vanities, so we've got that here.
13:33Behind me, we also have this corner soaker tub with jets.
13:37The shower, I love how big it is.
13:39And once again, the double vanities really hits that mark that we needed.

13:47And another entertainment zone.
13:50It almost feels like you're walking into your own personal speakeasy.
13:52It's got a wet bar for you, so while you're enjoying some cocktails over here, you can have your guests over here playing games.
13:59We didn't even know that we wanted a bar, but you have definitely convinced us.

15:08My only concern with the kitchen is that the countertops and the cabinets feel a little bit dark and dated.
15:12The primary bedroom felt luxurious, but it's right next to the sunken living space.
15:17And when the party is raging all night and I want to go to bed, that might be a problem.
15:21The size of the ensuite was amazing and that shower was so impressive.
15:26Sue, I was not expecting a fully functioning wet bar.
15:29That was a showstopper.
15:31But my favorite part is that dock where we can just run right into the lake.
15:35My only issue with the backyard is that we tend to have a lot of fun and make some noise, and the neighbors are pretty close.

16:44Sue, when we walked into the great room, it had these big windows, and the views were mesmerizing.
16:48But the big issue for me in that space was the small dining room.
16:52The kitchen was this really huge space, and I loved that it had views out to the lake.
16:56But I really didn't like that backsplash.
16:58When we walked into the primary bedroom, again, it had amazing views and our own private deck.
17:02That was a huge bonus.
17:04I really like the size of the primary ensuite, but the tub and the shower are old, and they would need to be replaced.
17:10When he took us to the backyard, I was really getting resort vibes.
17:13But the water was really far from the property.
17:16And definitely not swimmable.
17:17And what are your thoughts on property number two, modern oasis?
17:21This 6,100-square-foot new custom build has six bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms.
17:26In the great room, there are 30-foot ceilings with large windows overlooking the lake.
17:30The kitchen has a 16-foot island with quartz countertops.

17:52Sue, when we walked into this kitchen and great room, I was overwhelmed with how large it was, how beautiful it was.
17:58You really delivered on that modern touch.
18:00That island, so beautiful. I'd be right in the action whilst I'm cooking.
18:05And with those 30-foot ceilings, this was by far the most impressive room that we saw out of all three properties.
18:12When we walked into the primary bedroom, I loved the vaulted ceilings.
18:15But I found this room quite small compared to the grandeur of the rest of the house.
18:18But I really like the size of the en suite and the fact that there was that big soaker tub with the view of the lake.
18:24But the floor tiles really made the en suite feel beachy and clubhouse-y, and we want something luxurious for our en suite.
18:30That beautiful loft space was such a bonus.
18:33And the fact that the loft was a self-contained unit with the kitchenette, the bathroom, the bedroom, great for our friends and family.
18:40As soon as you step outside, you can immediately identify different entertainment zones.
18:44The main drawback for me is that there isn't a dock, so that means no running off the dock into the water fantasy that I'm looking for.
18:50And lastly, I'd love to hear what your thoughts are on property number three, garden getaway.
18:54This 3,700 square foot home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
18:59The main floor has vaulted ceilings, a double-sided gas fireplace, and multiple spaces to entertain and relax.
19:05The kitchen has two separate islands overlooking the great room and lake.
19:09The primary bedroom has a reading area with views of the gardens and an en suite with a large shower.
19:14Down in the lower level, there's a full wet bar with seating for four.
19:18The outside has lush gardens, a fire pit, and a dock on 80 feet of water frontage.
19:24Garden getaway comes with a price tag of $2.5 million.
19:28Sue, arriving at this house, I was immediately taken by the beautiful garden and landscaping.
19:32And when we walked into the house, I loved the sunken living room, the double fireplace.
19:36This is really a great place to entertain.
19:39That kitchen.
19:40I loved the fact that the cooktop overlooks the lake.
19:43But the biggest drawback of the kitchen was those dark and dated cabinets and countertops.
19:48This is the primary that I'm looking for.
19:50It was luxurious.
19:51It was comfortable and cozy.
19:53But Frankie, I felt like there was a definite lack of privacy being right next to the main entertainment zone.
19:58Walking down to the lower level, we were wowed.
20:01A bar was not on our wish list, but I think now it is.
20:04Walking outside, I immediately noticed how close the water was, as if I could almost just reach out and touch it.
20:10And Sue, once again, more entertainment zones.
20:13And you finally gave us the dock that we were looking for.
20:16The main issue here is how close we are to the neighbors.
20:19Okay, Jacques and Frankie, if you had to eliminate one property, which one would it be?
20:23It would have to be Hideaway at the Bay.
20:25The lakefront didn't deliver.
20:27We couldn't just jump into the water and swim out.
20:29Okay, so have you guys made a decision?
20:30We have...

20:33It's going to be Garden Getaway.
20:37Tell me why.
20:39It has everything we need.
20:40You know, the entertainment zones and that dock that we can jump straight into the water from.
20:44And you know what?
20:45We're just going to invite the neighbors over to join the party.
20:47Each of the homes we saw had something unique and special about them, but this is the one that had the waterfront.
20:51I just hope they finally invite me over for one of these big parties I keep hearing about.
