00:10Couple Carrie and Daniel want to cut down their commute to the lake.
00:14They're selling their current lakefront property to buy something closer to the city.

00:30Carrie and Daniel are planning to sell their existing lakefront property, which is five hours from their home, and buy a vacation home closer so they can easily escape on weekends.
00:42My name's Carrie.
00:43And I'm Daniel.
00:44We've been married for ten years.
00:46Yeah, we have a seven-year-old son.
00:48I am a regional vice president for a wealth management company.
00:51And I also work for a wealth management company.
00:54We met at a bank, and we had a great conversation, and I was like, whoops, like I got him to sign the wrong form, and I had to call him back.
01:04No, I was like, okay, can you come back to re-sign the form?
01:07He did it.
01:08So at that point, he asked me out.
01:10Yeah, I think she was a little disappointed that I didn't ask for it the first time, so she had to call me back.
01:15No, that wasn't the case.
01:17That was the first form we signed.
01:18And the second was our marriage license.
01:21Yeah.
01:21We have this nice vacation home on the lake.
01:24It's about five hours away, so we want something that's quite a bit closer.
01:28On my wish list, I would love to have a beautiful kitchen and a gas stove.
01:33I would love to see the beautiful lake view from the kitchen and also the bedroom.
01:38A nice big stone fireplace would be great.
01:41I'd really love to have a space where I can barbecue and have a lot of entertainment in the outdoor space.
01:46My son and I go out in boating, so easy access to the lake would be great.
01:50For us, it's important to be able to have a place that's nice and close as well.
01:54We're just so excited.
01:57Agent Amanda Tancredi will be helping Carrie and Daniel find a lakefront home close to the city with big lake views.

11:15Walking into this great room, seeing the logs, the view, it was a really amazing feel

11:22I just love the openness of the kitchen.
11:24But the countertop, I thought it was a little bit too white.
11:27I really liked the bedroom, but I didn't like the lack of closet space.
11:32That second outdoor area, it really had an amazing spa feeling.
11:35And having that view from the lake and that nice big dock, it was amazing.
11:39I'd say the only thing is not being able to have a motorized boat on water.
11:43I love the size of the house.
11:45Perhaps we can see something with a bit more closet space.
11:48As well as somewhere that we could have a motorized boat would be nice.
11:52Based on what you're telling me, I am very confident I can find a third.
11:55The first property had exposed timber beams and a lower level bar for entertaining.
12:03The second was a custom log home with an indoor hammock for relaxing.
12:08And the final property, Modern Marvel, is a 2,800 square foot contemporary style home with
12:14four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
12:16The great room has a stone wood burning fireplace.
12:19The kitchen has a gas range with a porcelain hood and backsplash.
12:24The primary bedroom has a walkout deck overlooking 800 feet of water frontage.
12:30I've shown Carrie and Daniel a traditional home, a log home, and now I'm going to show
12:35them a modern home, which is a bit of a risk, but I think it checks a lot of the boxes that
12:40they're looking for.

15:50It's a little more than I was expecting, but given the size of the property, it makes sense.

15:55Typically, I like more traditional, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
16:00I really like how they brought in that traditional feel with that stone fireplace, and that's wood burning.

16:12The primary had a nice view, but there wasn't much closet space.
16:16The primary ensuite with that soaker top, I can totally see myself and relax there.

16:24Amanda, we absolutely loved all three lakefront properties.

16:40Let's talk about the first property, Towering Timbers.

16:51The primary bedroom has views of the lake.

17:04When I first walked in, I loved that floor-to-ceiling windows.
17:09I really loved that huge fireplace.
17:11I just really wish it was wood-burning.
17:13Walking to the kitchen, I thought there were great views from the dining area.
17:17For the primary, I just really wished I was on the same floor as our son.
17:21When we walked out of the deck, it was breathtaking views.
17:24But it was just so many stairs down to the dock.
17:28What did you guys think of the second property, Logs of Luxury?
17:32This 3,200 square foot log home has 25 foot soaring ceilings in the living room and a stone fireplace.
17:40The kitchen has an island along with wood and stone accents.
17:44The wood beams carry into the primary bedroom.
17:48Outside, there are multiple entertainment zones overlooking the dock on 200 feet of water frontage.
17:55Logs of Luxury is listed at $2.5 million.
17:58The log home, it was almost like a resort.
18:02I can appreciate that dry stack fireplace.
18:05However, I still wish that it was wood-burning.
18:07The kitchen island was a great size.
18:10However, I didn't like the white to go with the kitchen.
18:13When you took us out into that outdoor patio, I felt like we could really enjoy that space.
18:18The primary bedroom was a nice size and has a really nice view.
18:22But I didn't like the lack of closet space.
18:25Going down to the waterfront, beautiful view of the lake.
18:28However, I just wish that there was motorized access to it.
18:31And lastly, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the third property, Modern Marble.
18:37This 2,800-square-foot modern home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
18:43The great room has a wood-burning fireplace.
18:46The kitchen has a porcelain backsplash and hood.
18:49The primary bedroom has walk-out access to a deck overlooking the lake.
18:53Outside, take in the view on a large dock on 800 feet of water frontage.
18:59Modern Marble comes with a price tag of $3.5 million.
19:03I was pleasantly surprised.
19:04It was warm, it was open, it was airy, it was great.
19:08For me, I really love my wood-burning fireplace.
19:11I absolutely love the kitchen, that porcelain hood and the backsplash.

19:17For the primary bedroom, I felt that it was a bit small and almost a little constrained.
19:21I absolutely love the ensuite.
19:23It was so beautiful.
19:24I love the soca top.
19:26That lakefront view, that is spectacular.

19:34We've decided to eliminate towering timbers.
