03:28five and five with two ko's four of her five losses by ko or tko she has won her last three but lost
03:35three straight prior to that there's one common opponent hate won a unanimous decision over
03:41a fighter named christy caught her 26 days later st john knocked out carter in two
03:47and while st john's skills are questioned we wonder if hake is even in her league and bobby
03:53in addition st john is out to prove her critics wrong and really could look to take it out on mary ann

09:15is very small and the universe of women at this weight is even smaller so mia saint john has not
09:20really been tested yet we don't know what she's capable of at least we've seen christy martin get tested
09:25there's a combination by hake but it did not even come close to saint john hake really keeping her

11:18Well, her talents were as good as her parents, she's easy on the eyes, but we've yet to see
11:22her testing, so, and I'm looking in the corner, Mia was breathing a lot heavier than was
11:27Haig, so, who knows, maybe we've got a nice little barn burner here.

12:12landed the cleaner shots early, but Mia's starting to look like a lot of pressure now.

12:27Mia puts her head down an awful lot when she comes in, she just puts it down and throws punches,
12:32not really as cleanly as it's drawn up on the board.
12:35Generally, while women's fundamentals are lacking, the popularity is gaining because many swing
12:42widely, get hit a lot, rounds are short, so there's more of a sense of urgency, less time
12:47to score a knockout.
12:49Many purists are against it.

17:42recently has been been more interested in women's boxing so she finally took it out
17:52st john missing by quite a bit with those punches like right there not even close
17:57and the uh boom starting to cascade down there was a nice combination me and st john tried to come in
18:06missed the shot came back up and then got tagged with two but right now it's strictly outside boxing for
18:12hey now we haven't seen too much infighting here it's been mostly if not all from the outside with many misses
18:24a little clawing jab there by st john but let's see if she can follow it up she said she wanted to
18:28work on combinations this is an overhand right that connects by hay
18:32she's the effective aggressor and she's winning the fight but i don't believe she's making a big
18:43statement with this with this battle exactly she's landed a few more punches than hake but
18:49nothing too overwhelming to really make people talk that she's ready for the bigger names
19:02and that is it that's probably going to be st john here on points that's a pretty safe bet
19:22well not in the hate corner because larry just told marianne you won the fight but of course
19:28it's a little different over there i think the best she could have done was get a draw and i don't
19:33think based on the way that things work with promoters and the contracts and appearances and appeal
19:39that that's going to happen well i uh agree wholeheartedly with you i love you unfortunately

21:22dressing room of johnston out of denver 26 and 1 14 knockouts the lone defeat to cesar bazar who
21:28matched up well with him but this past february johnston able to avenge that loss to reclaim the title

21:51yeah i thought it was a i don't know if it was a close fight but i thought it was a tough fight she's
21:56the toughest opponent i've had yet what made her the top well just that she she was a little more she
22:01didn't come out wild and crazy she was more like a counter puncher which i'm not used to because
22:06i'm usually the counter puncher but that's okay i thought it was a great experience i thought i could
22:10have been a little more aggressive but my trainer was saying don't try to knock her out so i just
22:14tried to just throw the jab out there and maybe just throw her timing off so do you feel you're in
22:19your best shape we noticed that between round one and two two and three you seem to be breathing
22:23kind of heavily were you in peak condition for this oh i feel it was definitely in peak condition um
22:28the only thing i can think of is maybe perhaps i did a little more than i should have for this
22:32fight because i had a lot of hard sparring for a couple weeks well congratulations and we're
22:36looking forward to the october playboy cover aren't you steve thank you congratulations we are back to
