00:00On today's Media Miss Minute, a former immigration judge says she was fired because of her family's
00:05origin. She's taking the Trump administration to court. And President Trump is signing a new law,
00:12tripling pension benefits for some of America's bravest veterans.
00:18I'm Craig DeGrelli. Here on Media Miss Minute, we are looking at two stories largely ignored
00:23by partisan media outlets on both sides. First, what's being missed by the right.
00:29Former immigration judge Tanya Nemer is suing the Trump administration, claiming she was fired
00:34because she is a dual citizen of Lebanon and the child of immigrants. Nemer says the Justice
00:40Department also pushed her out because she once ran for local office as a Democrat.
00:45Her lawsuit alleges the termination violated the Civil Rights Act and that a complaint she filed
00:51with the DOJ's Equal Opportunity Office was dismissed. Now to what's being missed by the left.
00:57President Trump signed bipartisan legislation boosting benefits for Medal of Honor recipients.
01:03The new law requires the VA to more than triple their special monthly pension,
01:08from just under $17,000 a year to more than $67,000. Right now there are 61 living Medal of Honor
01:16recipients. For more stories the partisan media is not covering, open the Straight Arrow News app
01:21and tap the Media Miss tab.
