00:00Look a lot like Christmas, but not nearly enough for my liking.
00:05I am totally Little Miss Christmas.
00:08I'm Sarah Davies and crafting is my passion, especially at Christmas.
00:13That looks right. Thank you, Mama Craft.
00:15Lovely.
00:17So I'm on a mission to spread a bit of homemade festive magic.
00:21One, two, three.
00:26Each week I'll be joined by two celebrity crafters,
00:30going head-to-head to make the best decorations.
00:36Oh, it's a contest.
00:38Oh, that is fabulous.
00:41I mean, I'm supposed to pick a winner, aren't I?
00:43Together, we'll be sprucing up our trees.
00:46Up to perfection.
00:47I think I've got a bit rolled.
00:49Yes.
00:51And sparkling up our centerpieces.
00:53Nice little hilded pipe.
00:55Wow.
00:55I've just seen how much you've got.
00:58It was a really bad idea.
01:00So grab your glue guns and let's get Christmas crafting.
01:18Lovely this, ain't it?
01:19It's so scenic.
01:20Oh, it's going to be a fun day.
01:21Yeah, I'm excited.
01:22I am.
01:24Today, I'm joined by two of TV's biggest personalities.
01:28Charlotte Crosby and Danny Dyer.
01:31And trust me, Christmas crafting will never be the same again.
01:35I'm glad I'm doing it with you as well.
01:37Yeah, I know.
01:38Crafting and catching up.
01:40Ha-ha!
01:40I am so excited about today.
01:44Me and crafts go together like beans on toast.
01:49I love Christmas.
01:51I love it.
01:51I can't really say I'm very good at decorating things.
01:54I am a beginner.
01:55I've stayed a beginner since I was a child.
01:58I've never just moved up a level.
01:59But, you know, we'll have a go.
02:03Well, I love the same.
02:06I feel like I'm so big-headed when it comes to things like this.
02:10But, honestly, I'm so creative.
02:12Like, I am, like, a very creative mind and soul.
02:16I do think that I may even be better than Sarah at crafting.
02:21That's a big statement, listen.
02:23But I think it could be true.
02:31Everything my celebrity guests make over the next few weeks
02:34is to transform this beautiful house into a magical Christmas party venue.
02:41And we're having a little friendly competition to see which of them does it best.
02:47Right, so you know what the plan is.
02:49I basically need some help to decorate this room.
02:51So, at the end of all of this,
02:53we're going to invite some of the local people
02:55who can't celebrate Christmas on Christmas Day
02:57because they've got to work.
02:59So, we're going to throw a party for them.
03:01And I need everyone's help decorating the room with different bits and pieces.
03:04So, we're going to start off and do some little decorations for the tree.
03:07You look like you're about to burst.
03:09I have. Do you like a bit of crafting?
03:10Love anything where you can get creative.
03:12Oh, then you've come to absolutely the right place.
03:14I'm in heaven.
03:15How about you, Jenny? Bit of a crafter in there?
03:18I'm hoping she's somewhere.
03:19I can't say I've ever...
03:20Like, my art teacher told me to not take art.
03:22Oh!
03:23So, I've not been here.
03:24Oh, rude!
03:25I just wasn't ever very good at it.
03:27I did say to Danny I would give her a hand if she needed it.
03:30Go remember, you were in competition.
03:32Oh, but be careful, because it might really be sabotage, so I win.
03:37I love competitions.
03:38It's my favourite thing.
03:40But when I lose, I'm a really bad loser.
03:42But I will win.
03:44They're all going down.
03:47So, do you two know each other, then?
03:49We do.
03:49So, we go way back, right?
03:51In a different era of our lives, we were wild, feral party girls.
03:56As opposed to...
03:57Now we are crafting mothers.
03:58So, have you ever done any macramé?
04:05Buh-buh.
04:06Macramé.
04:07No.
04:08What?
04:11I was like, ma-ma-what?
04:12Ma-what?
04:14It's like a cross between a piece of wool and a piece of cord.
04:18And you tie knots.
04:20So, this and this is going to become a Christmas tree.
04:24Right.
04:24Yeah, you can see it.
04:25I can.
04:26Yeah, she's got the vision, she's got the vision.
04:28Right, even though, you should have one longer piece of cord.
04:31And you see your little twig that you've got?
04:33It's just going to go over.
04:35And then you see that loop at the top?
04:37Yeah.
04:37Just pop these through.
04:41So, you just kind of pull it on.
04:43This is going to form, like, the middle of our Christmas tree.
04:46And then we're going to tie knots around it.
04:48Now, to make life easy, look, I've got a bit of blue sticky stuff.
04:52And I'm going to just hold that in place so that we can work on it.
04:55Right?
04:55Yeah.
04:56You want two bits of cord.
04:58So, we're going to take the first one and just fold it in half.
05:01This one...
05:02Yeah.
05:03..is going to go underneath at the top.
05:06Underneath at the top.
05:08Then the other one, do the same again, fold it in half.
05:11Now, this one goes over the top.
05:13But what you're going to try and do is
05:16pull the two little ends through one loop.
05:19And then push the two little ends through the other loop.
05:21And then when you pull them apart,
05:24it kind of does a knot over the two.
05:27And you push a little knot up to the top.
05:29OK.
05:30Yes!
05:30She's got it!
05:31Well done, Shosh.
05:32Yes.
05:33I feel I'm black-belting macrame.
05:36Right, so the same get the next two.
05:38Now, if you went underneath from the left last time,
05:41start underneath from the right.
05:43Is that because it'll make it prettier?
05:44And then it makes it prettier, yeah.
05:46This is beautiful, isn't it?
05:48Isn't it lovely?
05:48It's so relaxing.
05:49And then you're going to fold them through there.
05:51Pull your knot tight.
05:53Push your knot up to the top.
05:55Get the next one.
05:57My kids would...
05:58Like, my little boy would love this.
06:00I mean, do you do much crafts at home?
06:02I've tried to now.
06:03Now that, like, my little boy's getting a little bit older.
06:06How old is he now?
06:06He's four and a half.
06:08Oh!
06:08Yeah, so...
06:09What a great age to be starting to do bits of stuff with.
06:11So now I risk, like, you know,
06:13you've got to start getting a bit more creative with him.
06:15Yeah.
06:16You want some crafting in there.
06:17Yeah.
06:18Yeah, is it coming together?
06:20Yeah, probably.
06:21Look at that.
06:22I love it.
06:23And then you just go again and say, the next one.
06:25Do you know, I'm really chuffed with how well you've taken to this, though.
06:29It's really nice.
06:30It is.
06:31And the good thing about crafting is it's so mindful.
06:33Yeah.
06:34You can just get lost a little bit in the moment,
06:37especially something like this.
06:38You're going to be really zen by the end of the day.
06:40I'll be going home and wanting to do this, I will.
06:43Oh, yeah, that's...
06:43Trust me, you'll get the bug.
06:45Right, here's the thing.
06:46You've got to just get all the knots pulled nice and tight
06:48and just position them all into place.
06:51She's like, look.
06:53She's going for it.
06:55I mean, that's one way to get it nice.
06:56Like, push them all, make sure you've got them pushed to the top.
06:59And then I've made you a Christmas tree template.
07:01And then you've just got something to cut up the side of.
07:04She's chopping.
07:07Oh, I'm a bit wobbly with this.
07:08It's the smell.
07:09By the time we finish it, that's looking good.
07:12Let me see, Danny.
07:16What's wrong with it?
07:18I don't know about that, man.
07:20Have you tried to go for a shabby shake or were you going for perfection?
07:23I was going for perfection.
07:24I should have gone for shabby shake.
07:26There's no help for yours now.
07:28She's intimidating me now.
07:30I thought you were going to be the supportive friend.
07:34Look, she's got a lot of competition for me.
07:36Charlotte is taking this competition very, very seriously.
07:40And that's okay.
07:41Because she's like the, I'm like the snail.
07:43Is it the snail that won the race?
07:45I don't know who won the race, but it could be me.
07:47I could be the snail.
07:48Then if you open the scissors, what we're going to do is we're just going to spread out all the little edges.
07:54Oh, I like it.
07:55So it becomes a braid.
07:57Braid edge.
07:57Mine needs a lot of braid.
07:59You've got a comb if you want.
08:01You want to give it a bit of a brush?
08:02I'd love that.
08:03Yeah?
08:03Give it a back comb.
08:04Oh, you want to give it a back comb?
08:05Yeah.
08:06Do you know what?
08:07You do you.
08:08Oh, that's like such a difference with a comb.
08:11Doesn't it look nicer?
08:12Danny is getting into it.
08:14I must admit, it's starting to look better.
08:16I am.
08:18You're harshest critic here, Danny.
08:20You're harshest critic.
08:21You're really harsh on me.
08:22Right, and I've got you some little stars, so a little blob of glue on the top, and that star will just finish it off.
08:33Yeah?
08:34Right.
08:34Are you ready?
08:35Right.
08:36Hold on, no, I'm not ready.
08:37Give us one more second.
08:38Just watch that jumper.
08:39That's a nice jumper, Pess.
08:41Oh, it's just a bit of fluff from the jumper.
08:44Is that for a bit of snow on it?
08:45Yeah.
08:46So, we've done macrame Christmas tree.
08:49Oh.
08:50Yeah?
08:51Have a look at yours and Danny.
08:54Oh, that's amazing.
08:57It's all right.
08:58I really don't want to be awful to Danny, because I think she's a lovely girl.
09:02We're very good friends.
09:02But I can't lie and tell her that that Christmas tree is anything but shocking.
09:07She just needs a bit of a brush, and she's just a bit thinner on one side.
09:10Yeah, she's thinner on one side.
09:12Yeah.
09:13It's rectangle.
09:13It's not tree-like.
09:14I don't know whether she's got her contact lenses in.
09:17Like, it's all gone wrong for Danny.
09:21The big moment, though, we've all been waiting for.
09:24She needs a bit of an introduction.
09:27She's been sat at the tree shop for a good month.
09:30Right.
09:31Nobody wants her, but I came in, and I bought her.
09:34Aww.
09:35She's got a little bit of snow on her, you see?
09:39She's not the best of her, but she's got personality.
09:42Yeah.
09:42Yes, I think she looks canny.
09:44I think she looks the best out of them all, if I'm honest.
09:48I'm loving the confidence.
09:50I'm loving the confidence.
09:52To be fair, I did like Charlotte's Christmas tree.
09:54You know, she went for that rustic look, and it did work.
09:56I would say that's level one macrame with a good, solid pass.
10:02Oh, yeah?
10:02Yes.
10:03Are we ready for level two macrame?
10:05Bring it on!
10:06Bring it on!
10:07Right.
10:15So, we've got a little tree.
10:18I thought we could do a nice wreath.
10:20Oh, yes.
10:21Yeah?
10:21So, we're going to learn a new knot,
10:23and you're going to need some new macrame cards.
10:26Yeah.
10:26Then, what I've got is, I've got some wire,
10:28so that's going to be the wreath.
10:30Yeah.
10:30So, get your little bit of blue sticky stuff.
10:35Then, what I'm going to do, first of all,
10:37is just tie it like a normal knot to get us started.
10:40You always start with the piece in the left-hand side, first of all.
10:43So, hold it in your left-hand side and take it over to the right.
10:46Mm-hm.
10:48This piece goes over top.
10:50Yeah.
10:51Right?
10:51And then, what you're going to do is, you're going to come under,
10:53and under the loop.
10:56Oh.
10:57Right?
10:58Now, we're ready to do it together.
10:59Right, come on.
11:00Okay.
11:00So, hold the piece in your left hand
11:02and take it over to the right.
11:04Your piece in your right hand,
11:06bring it over the top.
11:09It's all over the top towards you.
11:11Right?
11:11And then, it's gone underneath.
11:14Underneath.
11:15And then...
11:15And through.
11:16Oh!
11:17Have you got it?
11:18Yes, that's it.
11:19And then, just pull it in.
11:20That's it.
11:21Did I just do another knot?
11:22No, that's fine.
11:23You've done it.
11:23Oh, did it?
11:23You've done it.
11:24You've done it.
11:25Where does my hand go?
11:26All right.
11:27Just pull the two sides of the knots now.
11:29That's it.
11:30Yes.
11:31Oh!
11:31Yes.
11:31Wow.
11:32Wow.
11:33Right?
11:34Right, I'm on a race now.
11:35God, I'm just on one.
11:36Honestly, it's like smoke coming off my fingers and everything.
11:39No race, love.
11:41It's how good it looks at the end.
11:42It's not who finishes first, right?
11:44There we go, ladies and gentlemen.
11:45And because you're always starting on your left,
11:48you'll start and get a twist.
11:50That is utter perfection.
11:52Oh, wow, Danny.
11:54I mean, Charlotte's just flying.
11:56People once said I wasn't talented.
11:57Do you know what I'm going to say to that?
11:59But next time someone says that,
12:00have you seen me do macrame?
12:02Yes.
12:03You tell them.
12:04I will.
12:05So, I was sitting last night,
12:07watching you two,
12:08on old shows,
12:09doing a bit of macraming.
12:11I'm scared of what you're scared for.
12:13You're so sorry.
12:14I went back to some of your old Geordie shows.
12:16Oh, no, Geordie.
12:18Let's not talk about it.
12:19You've had a good time.
12:20That's all that matters, Charlotte.
12:22Exactly.
12:23Life's too short.
12:24Look how perfect this is.
12:25You've got to be chuffed with that, mate.
12:27Yeah, I don't want to get too above my station.
12:30Just always remind yourself, come, that's it, that's it.
12:32It's always that, innit?
12:33And goes under, doesn't it?
12:34Yeah.
12:35I might find some of this to do, you know?
12:37You know that when you have free time,
12:39go to a little craft class.
12:41How nice is that with your mates?
12:43Oh, there's a place.
12:44Round here, yeah?
12:45Round here, near us.
12:46Yeah.
12:47I didn't realise you literally lived round the corner from me.
12:50To be honest, I'm surprised I haven't heard you.
12:54I've done it.
12:55Are you pleased with it?
12:57I really love it.
12:58Oh, and Charlotte's nearly finished hers.
13:00And I've got some lovely little bits and pieces.
13:02Some little sprigs.
13:03Oh, and I've got some pearls.
13:05If you want to put a couple of pearls on.
13:06Oh, yeah, let's have a pearl.
13:07You want to add a nice couple of nice little beads or something.
13:10And then, oh, I've got some nice little bits of gingham ribbon.
13:12Or some twine.
13:14I love twine.
13:15Yeah?
13:15Do you want me to tie you a little bow?
13:16Oh, yeah.
13:17Go on.
13:17Yeah, a little bow, right?
13:18Treat us.
13:19Let's watch her do a bow.
13:20Look, she's in her natural habitat.
13:23She's so good, isn't she?
13:24She just does it like it's like making a cup of tea to her.
13:27Would this really be taking the mickey, right?
13:30Go on, what do you want to do?
13:31If I got you to make us ten bows, or is that a bit too much?
13:36I think ten will look a bit much on it.
13:38Yeah.
13:38But how do you know?
13:39Because I just have a vision for mine.
13:42Oh, look, I've put my bow at the top.
13:44Oh, yours does look nice with one bow.
13:46Yeah.
13:46But I still need ten, Sarah.
13:48Less is more.
13:48And I promise that's all I'll ask of you all day.
13:51Right, I'm going to remind you of this.
13:53All you're going to ask of is all day.
13:55I'm so appreciate this, mind.
13:57How am I going?
13:58How many have you got?
13:58That's it, I'm done now.
14:00Oh, she's right up here.
14:02So, do you have a wreath on your dark Christmas?
14:04Yeah, I like a Christmas wreath.
14:05Do you make it?
14:06Well, I'll be making it now, won't I?
14:08Well, I like to hear it.
14:09Look at that, I've inspired her.
14:11I'm going to stop my hat, like you say.
14:12Less is more.
14:13I need to practice what I preach.
14:15You are phenomenal.
14:16Right, let's have a look at everybody's.
14:20They look wonderful.
14:22Oh, Danny, yours is gorgeous.
14:24I loved the wreath.
14:25All the decorating at the end I really like.
14:27Like with the bows, I did the pearls on Twix.
14:29I love a pearl.
14:31I really do love a pearl.
14:32So, yeah, I was happy with the decoration.
14:34Less is more, I think.
14:35Yours is brilliant, thanks.
14:36I'd actually sell that.
14:38Would you?
14:38How much for?
14:40Five.
14:41How much do you think mine would go for?
14:43Oh, I wouldn't like to put a price on it.
14:44I would say that's priceless.
14:46Mang's in the bargain bucket, isn't it?
14:50Listen, Danny pulled it back with the wreath.
14:52Her wreath was really beautiful.
14:54It was a lot better than mine.
14:55So, listen, it's 1-1 right now.
14:58But you better watch out for next round.
15:00I'm interested to see where you're going to go
15:02as we progress in our crafting
15:03now that I've realised you're a more is more type of girl.
15:06Well, I'm definitely toning it down now.
15:08Fairness, last words.
15:09Right, are we ready for the next craft?
15:11Yes!
15:12Yes!
15:32OK, are you ready for a bit more crafting?
15:34Yes.
15:34OK, we've had the warm-up act.
15:36Now we're going to craft up an elaborate centrepiece.
15:39Nice.
15:40Mm-hmm.
15:40Now, here's my Amazon delivery.
15:43So, gilding flakes.
15:46Oh, they're beautiful.
15:48Bit of sparkle.
15:49A candle.
15:50Some pressed flowers.
15:51Wow!
15:52Aha, watch this space, watch this space.
15:55Right, and then I've got some pine cones.
15:57Obviously, you can go and pick them out of the garden,
15:58but if you haven't got any in your garden,
16:00you can order some pine cones.
16:02I've got some pie dishes.
16:04All will make sense.
16:07And some sponges.
16:09Right?
16:09Oh!
16:10Loads of exciting stuff.
16:12But where do we stop?
16:13Yeah, what do we do?
16:14Oh, right, wait, let's show you.
16:16So, you've got some little tumblers.
16:18Now, you could use any sort of plates or dishes.
16:21What you want is three different sizes so that we can tier them.
16:23Mm-hmm.
16:24And then something sturdy so that we can go one dish, next one, next dish, next one.
16:32Wow!
16:33Yeah?
16:33It's that simple.
16:34It's so simple.
16:35You can't believe it's that simple.
16:36Yeah.
16:36Right?
16:36How would you ever think, like, use your pie dish to do that?
16:41Yeah, of course you can.
16:41What if you need to make a pie?
16:43Ha-ha-ha!
16:45Now, less is more with this.
16:47Oh, that's hard for me.
16:47Don't put too much glue on, right?
16:50And it's because we're sticking ceramic and metal, you want a really strong glue.
16:55And then that is...
16:57Ooh, not quite central.
16:59Oh, you've really took it off-piece now.
17:01Right.
17:02Is that looking good?
17:02Too far that way, Sarah.
17:04All right, right.
17:05I'll tell you when to stop.
17:06Happy?
17:07Bit further left.
17:08Yeah, bit further left.
17:09Left, yeah, yeah, yeah, bit more.
17:10I think that's the one.
17:12Do we think we can trust you to give it a go, Danny?
17:14Yes.
17:15Give some glue, love.
17:16So, while you're doing that, Charlotte, are you cooking at Christmas?
17:19Never.
17:20I've got no patience, the attention span, it's all to pot.
17:24So, it would just be bad news.
17:26I did one time cook, like, some roasties.
17:30Oh, right.
17:30Not from scratch.
17:31I just got them from the supermarket and put them in the air fryer.
17:34So, I'm not sure that quite constitutes cooking the roasties.
17:37I would say heating up the roasties.
17:39I can't have a reddy's on potato.
17:41Why?
17:42I'm right there with you.
17:43Potatoes need time and love.
17:45They do need time and love.
17:47I kiss them before they go in.
17:48Right.
17:51Right.
17:52My turn.
17:52So, who does the roasties in your house then, Danny?
17:54I say I do, but at Christmas, my nan's round.
17:57Right.
17:58So, as long as my nan's got a little Bacardi in her, then we will be doing the roasties.
18:02We'll do the roast potatoes.
18:03So, who hosts Christmas?
18:04Oh, that's really cool.
18:05Me. I'm hosting this year.
18:06We pretty much take it in turns, but I've got, like, 20 of us this year.
18:09Oh, wow.
18:10I love it, though.
18:11You pull a cracker and you listen to all the old songs.
18:14Right.
18:15Dump.
18:16Right.
18:16You are not equal there.
18:17Just, you're like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
18:20Oh, wow.
18:20You all did that, too.
18:21It's very hot, that, isn't it?
18:23Yeah.
18:23That's a little bit.
18:23That's it.
18:24Just a little bit.
18:25There.
18:25Right.
18:26So, if you just carefully put that out of the way, should we get some of the stuff ready
18:29to go on them?
18:30Definitely.
18:31Yes.
18:31Yeah?
18:31Right.
18:32Pinecorns.
18:33Do you want a few pinecorns?
18:34Yes.
18:35I do.
18:35Yes.
18:36And what we're going to do is we're going to add a bit of gold gilding around the pinecorns.
18:43Now, gilding, if you need a special type of glue.
18:47OK.
18:47Now, a little bit on here.
18:49Uh-huh.
18:49And then add just on the little tips of here.
18:52Now, can you see it's blue?
18:54Yeah.
18:54Yep.
18:55We're going to wait for it to go clear.
18:57And then once it's gone clear, it's ready for us to apply the gilding plagues on.
19:01Oh.
19:01Yeah.
19:02So, basically, I've just done a lot of glue on my acorn.
19:06Too much, again, like always.
19:07It is a pinecorn, you do know, yeah?
19:09Oh, yeah.
19:09Sorry.
19:11Remember, we just want, like, a hint of gold.
19:14Mine's going to be, like, gold finger.
19:17Right.
19:17Nice.
19:18Mine could feature in the movie.
19:20Bond movie.
19:21Imagine that.
19:23Right, we've got some that haven't got any glue on.
19:25So, you're just going to dip it in a little bit.
19:28Oh, wow.
19:29What's going on there?
19:30Right.
19:30And then, take off all the excess.
19:33All we're doing is we're giving a hint of gold.
19:35Unless you're Charlotte and you've covered it in glue.
19:38Then we're not just doing a hint.
19:39No, no, we're doing this.
19:40Right.
19:41See that?
19:42Nice little golden pipe.
19:44Wow.
19:44I've just seen how much you've got.
19:46You, I thought it was a bad idea.
19:49It was a really bad idea.
19:50Getting glue stuck on your fingers.
19:52I can't, it's all sticking on my fingers.
19:53You've got glue on your fingers.
19:55Right.
19:55That's looking lovely.
19:56Oh, I'm loving it.
19:57Do you like it?
19:58Yours, Danny.
19:59You're good at this one, aren't you?
20:01Yeah.
20:02Look, I'm with a bit of a secret weapon, mate.
20:04You are.
20:04Yes, she is.
20:05Do you think that's all right, Sarah?
20:07Let's have a little look.
20:09Oh, hey.
20:10Oh, my God.
20:11That's really good.
20:12I know.
20:13Come on, you must be pleased with that.
20:14I am.
20:14Be bothered.
20:15Should we go and get some foliage, and then we can put the foliage on and pop the pinecones
20:22around us?
20:22Yes.
20:23Yes.
20:23Right.
20:24So, get our coats on, go and get some foliage.
20:27Yep.
20:27Yeah.
20:28Good idea, yeah.
20:28Good plan.
20:29Good plan.
20:35Let's forage.
20:36This is a beautiful garden, isn't it?
20:38It's gorgeous, this.
20:39Can we climb the trees?
20:41No tree climbing.
20:43Right here, this looks good.
20:45Some nice bits of foliage.
20:47Look, these will be lovely.
20:48They're really pretty.
20:49Pick them from a bit higher.
20:51I can't reach, babe.
20:52I'm five foot one.
20:54There you go.
20:57I mean, we went foraging, because I go foraging often.
21:00And I'm just getting all the little things from the garden, and, like, finding things and
21:04putting them all together.
21:06Guys, what about this?
21:08About what?
21:09The white bark of the tree.
21:11It's just taking all the bark off.
21:13Oh, look at this.
21:14It's like wallpaper.
21:16Well, what are you going to do with it, though?
21:18So, imagine this.
21:22It's like a little...
21:23Yeah.
21:24Scrumbled a piece of paper.
21:26So, basically, I got the silver birch tree, which is a bit of a wild card.
21:30No one really knew what I was going to do with it.
21:32And do you know what?
21:32Me neither.
21:35I found the holly.
21:37Yeah, I'm not going to tell them where it is.
21:39When it came to foraging, I was really at one with nature.
21:43I was basically calling to the trees, asking where the holly was, and they were talking
21:48back to me.
21:49I can't help that I had the edge over everyone else, because I can speak to the nature.
21:53Come on, guys.
21:54I think we should head back to the craft table.
21:56You craft are extraordinary.
22:00And did you get any little pink ones?
22:02Pink what?
22:03Yeah?
22:03Yeah.
22:04Exactly.
22:04Exactly.
22:05Sharon's caring, Sharon.
22:06Sharon's caring.
22:14Well, you've got all sorts, Danny.
22:17I know.
22:17I'm dying to see what you've got in your buggers.
22:19It's very different, right?
22:20It's very different, is it?
22:22Same garden.
22:23It's still the...
22:23Wow!
22:24Wow!
22:25So, get a few little clumps, right?
22:28So, I'm going to take a couple of these leaves off of this.
22:32Oh, these were nice.
22:33When we've got these ones.
22:34I love them.
22:35It's like making little mini bouquets, right?
22:38So, you've got, like, a little cluster.
22:40And I'm going to show you how to wind them together.
22:43Oh, lovely.
22:44Happy?
22:45Yeah.
22:45Right.
22:46Get a bit of wire, right?
22:48So, what you're going to do, you bend it over.
22:51Mm-hmm.
22:51And you see?
22:52And then lie that in line with the stems and wrap it around all of the stems.
22:59But what happens is, you see, if you pull it, it can't come under.
23:03Oh!
23:04And we're just going to put them on, lie them around the outsides.
23:07Oh, do you know what we should do?
23:08Why don't we add one of our pine cones to the bundles?
23:11Right?
23:12So, just wrap your wire in the middle of your pine cone.
23:18And then I'm just going to wind that in.
23:20Yeah?
23:21That's clever.
23:22And so, just lie that along there like that.
23:24Oh, and then wind it around.
23:25Wind it.
23:26And then once it's in, you see, it's on wire, so you can just move it round.
23:30And you can just add a bit of greenery.
23:32Because what you want to do is you want to cover all of that.
23:37You don't want no gaps.
23:38You don't want any gaps.
23:40So, who dresses up as Santa in your house?
23:42I might have to get my dad to do it this year for the kids.
23:44Oh, do you actually do that?
23:45You can dress up as Santa for the kids.
23:47I might ask him to do it.
23:47Do you think he's bound to, isn't he?
23:49Grandad duties.
23:50I think his granddaddy will, you know.
23:52Didn't you get married this year, Danny?
23:53Yeah, I got married in May.
23:55So, is this your first Christmas as a married woman?
23:58As a married, sophisticated woman all of a sudden, eh?
24:01And aren't you engaged, Mrs?
24:02Yes.
24:03Engaged to be married.
24:05Ooh, when, Charlotte?
24:07Dunno.
24:09Can't afford one yet, honestly.
24:11I'm too...
24:11I'm not spending all that money on a wedding, Sarah.
24:14I want Olivia Dean to sing at the wedding.
24:17I've had a quote.
24:19You'd have to lie down for us to tell you it.
24:22Oh, I'm doomed.
24:23I'm never going to get married.
24:25You think Tom's available, Tom Jones?
24:27I mean, you could ask for a quote.
24:30I'm going to be higher.
24:32Yeah.
24:32I like the idea.
24:34Here, look.
24:34How's it looking?
24:35I've got to say, mine looks pretty special.
24:37Look at this.
24:37Think I've come back into the competition, haven't I?
24:40I'm loving that you're doing me judging for us.
24:44Right, right.
24:45When you get to that stage, you need some lights on as well.
24:48And you want to find somewhere to hide your little light bit.
24:54Oh, wow.
24:55And then you can wrap your lights around as well so that it's all...
24:58You've just got a little bit of a twinkle going on.
25:01Yeah?
25:02Do you think this is looking good or not?
25:04That is looking stellar.
25:07And isn't Danny's display lovely?
25:08Are you happy with this?
25:09I love it.
25:10Right, so, I mean, we've made a beautiful mess here.
25:13So I say we clean it down and then we can come back and do a nice piece of the top.
25:17Yes.
25:18Yeah?
25:18Good idea.
25:30We're back for more Christmas crafting.
25:32And I'm going to show Danny and Charlotte how to make decorations for our table centrepieces.
25:38OK, so, I want to do a couple of nice things to go on our table display.
25:42And the first thing I thought we'd do is a little gift box.
25:45So you need two bits of card, one to do the lid, one to do the base.
25:50Red top, pinkish bottom.
25:52Yeah.
25:52So the one at the bottom, I want you to trim off a fly's eyelash from the side.
25:59Like a fly's eyelash.
26:02A fly? Like a fuzzy fly?
26:04Yeah, but, like a...
26:05To be honest, I'll kill them before they even have a cut.
26:08That's right.
26:08So it means like a tiny little sliver.
26:10You know what I mean?
26:11Take off a fly's eyelash.
26:13Do you not say that?
26:14Well, that's pretty big for a fly's eyelash.
26:16Don't know what fly's you've been looking at.
26:18Jesus.
26:19OK, take off a small sliver from both sides so that what you end up with...
26:24Oh, God, mine's...
26:25..is the piece that's going to be the lid is going to be a bit bigger...
26:28Mine's a bit wonky.
26:29..than the piece that's the base. Doesn't matter.
26:30And I'm going to get you a ruler each.
26:33Right, OK.
26:34This is just a cheat way to do it quickly, right?
26:37I love cheating.
26:39Not like cheating, cheating.
26:41No, but just a little bit of cheating.
26:42Yeah.
26:42Right?
26:43So this is going to be how deep our box is going to be.
26:46So what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this and line the ruler up against the edge of the card.
26:51Right?
26:52And then bend my card up.
26:54Like that.
26:56Oh, my goodness, I think I see where this is going on.
27:00You're going to do it on all the four sides.
27:05The look of concentration on your two's faces is absolutely priceless.
27:14Right, we've creased them all nicely, yeah?
27:16Yeah.
27:17What you're going to do is I want you to cut right up the fours line until the point where it crosses there.
27:24And then cut a tiny little sliver out like this.
27:26Not another fly's eyelash.
27:28Yeah.
27:34So straight into the middle.
27:36And we're doing the same with the other one?
27:37Do the same with the other one.
27:38Do they look lovely?
27:46I do think they do.
27:49This.
27:50It's going to change your life, this.
27:51A tip X-pen.
27:52No.
27:53You take the end off and it's just double-sided tape in a row.
27:56Right, watch me.
27:57I'll show you once, right?
27:58What we're going to do is we're going to put glue on this corner bit here.
28:02God, this is posh.
28:06I'm sorry, but this is genius.
28:08Isn't that just tape stuff?
28:09This has changed my life.
28:11Wow.
28:12This is brilliant.
28:13I'd be buzzing with that.
28:14Are you going to put them together?
28:15Yeah.
28:16What do we do with these edges?
28:18Cut them off?
28:19No, you shouldn't have it.
28:20They should go inside.
28:21If you line up the edge against that edge there, your box will be perfect.
28:25Yeah, my box is definitely not...
28:26You'd give that a two out of ten.
28:30Oh, hey.
28:31Look at that.
28:32Stop it.
28:32Perfect box.
28:33That's perfect.
28:34And then here's the other side.
28:36So do we do the same on this?
28:38That's it.
28:38Yeah.
28:39Oh, now it's fitting because that was smaller.
28:42Because we cut a fly's eyelash off the end of it.
28:45Fly's got no eyelashes left now.
28:47Do you want a bit of green ribbon or a bit of nice twine to go around it?
28:51Green ribbon.
28:52Green ribbon.
28:52Please.
28:52To find your halfway point, you're going to go across the top, underneath.
29:04Yeah?
29:05Yeah.
29:05And then where it meets in the middle, you're going to twist it to go the other way.
29:10That's it.
29:12Flip it back over.
29:16A tiny little bow or whatever.
29:17Tiny little bow.
29:19I'm not always good at lining things up and getting measurements right.
29:21I've never been good at that.
29:23But actually, they're so simple and they just look so pretty.
29:27I just think it's like the cherry on top of the cake, really.
29:29I'm definitely going to try that at home.
29:31To say yous have never made a box before.
29:33Oh, no, I have.
29:34Look at me.
29:35I mean, that's pretty good.
29:36Look at mine.
29:37I'm going to need to pay $7.99 for that.
29:41Not up north, love.
29:42We're actually going to do that.
29:43That is a fun thing to make with the kids, little boxes.
29:47The Christmas present boxes, oh, they were fun.
29:51I tell you what, I think that might be my favourite thing of the day
29:54because it was easy.
29:55It's so memorable.
29:57I'm never going to forget how to do that.
29:59And, like, it's good to do with the kids.
30:01Right, so there's our little presents.
30:03So we've got them to go on our centrepiece.
30:13Now, it's our grand finale.
30:15OK.
30:15The big moment at the top of our centrepiece,
30:19you've got your candle, but it's a bit boring.
30:22Now, I specifically chose the fake candles, OK?
30:26But it's still wax around the outside.
30:29Mm.
30:29I did think that.
30:30Oh, my God, I was thinking that.
30:31So it's still real wax.
30:33It's not a plastic.
30:33It's a proper wax candle.
30:34It's just a fake wax candle.
30:36Right?
30:37Lovely, isn't it?
30:37I'm not sure whether you scented, love.
30:38LAUGHTER
30:39LAUGHTER
30:40Right.
30:43I can't think it's melted.
30:46Oh!
30:47But what we're going to do...
30:48What we're going to do is we're going to put some pressed flowers in them.
30:53Wow.
30:53Right.
30:54Right?
30:54So I want you to pick yourself a few different ones.
30:58What I'll do is I'll show you how to melt one in.
31:00Yeah.
31:00And then we can keep adding to it.
31:02So we're going to wrap the candle in the greaseproof paper.
31:06And I'm going to put my leaf on the candle.
31:10Now, this bit's the really important bit,
31:12because you need to hold the structure of the candle.
31:16So we need to hold it rounded like that.
31:19This is lovely.
31:21Oops.
31:22Put it on a slightly lower setting.
31:25Yeah.
31:26And then all I'm doing is I'm melting the surface of the wax
31:31so that when you lift this off, that...
31:34Wow.
31:35No!
31:35..is now in the candle.
31:37Brilliant.
31:38My mind's blown.
31:39Yeah.
31:40So I could be sticking anything to my candles?
31:43You could be popping anything you want.
31:45So pick yourself another nice little leaf
31:47and we're just melting it into the wax.
31:50That candle, wow.
31:52Like, how clever is that?
31:54Like, I feel like I just want to go around my house
31:56and start decorating all my candles.
31:58And I'm not going to be sitting there squabbling.
31:59I'm going to be hair-drying fake plants on a candle.
32:08Ooh!
32:15Right, it's hot, isn't it?
32:18Is it?
32:18It does.
32:19Yes, perfect.
32:22Ready?
32:22Moment of truth.
32:23Ooh!
32:25Ooh!
32:26Wow, that's a good one.
32:28Wow, I'm really proud of that.
32:31Hey, mine, that looks...
32:34Hey, they're in perfect, aren't they?
32:37And you've done a really good job of, like,
32:38keeping the candle perfectly smooth,
32:40so you can't see where it goes on.
32:43How's it looking?
32:45Oh, I don't know if I heat gunned it a bit too much.
32:48Just go over it slightly, a little bit over the top.
32:50Just go over it again, but without the...
32:51Without the paper on.
32:54Just going to smooth it out.
32:55Oh, I see.
32:56You feeling better?
32:57Yeah, yeah, that's better.
32:59I really was feeling a bit downhearted there.
33:02But you're feeling all right now.
33:03Good.
33:04Yeah?
33:04I'm feeling good again.
33:05Yeah, perfect.
33:07Nice!
33:08So, should we put them on the middle of our centrepieces?
33:10Yeah!
33:10Right.
33:12Come on, then.
33:12Moment of truth.
33:13This is the most wholesome thing I have ever done
33:19in my whole entire life.
33:22This is a candle I'm never going to want to burn.
33:25Right, I'm going to put my box...
33:27I'm going to position it just in here.
33:30Yeah.
33:30And then I'm going to put my candle on the top.
33:34This is so creative.
33:35This is probably the most creative thing I've ever done.
33:37Could I put this present at the top?
33:40You can put it wherever you want.
33:42Oh, I tell you what, they look quite good.
33:45Do you want a little holly spray for the top?
33:46Oh, yeah.
33:47Yeah?
33:48I'll have one.
33:48Little holly spray.
33:50Oh, wow.
33:51There you go.
33:52I'd love this in my kitchen.
33:54Doesn't it look fabulous?
33:55And then, do you know what, when people come round
33:57and they go, where did you get that from?
33:59Well, I made it.
34:02Do you know what, my star piece,
34:04I would give that a good 8 out of 10.
34:07It just looked really nice.
34:09Impressive.
34:09Are you pleased with what you've done?
34:11Yeah, I'm so happy.
34:13Because I'm just not creative.
34:15You've done very well, Danny, yeah, you are.
34:18Danny, I've experienced today, is certainly creative.
34:21Yeah, I knew she was in there somewhere.
34:23She is, she is.
34:24Yeah.
34:25Well, I have to say, I'm very proud of you both.
34:28We all need to keep warm and cosy at Christmastime,
34:45so how about adding some festive fun to your hot chocolate?
34:48Now, I'm sure Danny and Charlotte would love a little hot chocolate,
34:55so I thought I'll do some Christmassy hot chocolate stirrers
34:58for a little mid-crafting snack.
35:00So, I've got some milk chocolate,
35:02and I'm going to start off by melting it in a bain-marie.
35:05And then, once that's melted,
35:13and I'm going to bring it over
35:15and just pour it into some super-sized ice cube moulds.
35:19And, of course, I only need three,
35:27cos it's just the three of us.
35:29And then, to make it into a stirrer,
35:31I've just got some wooden spoons,
35:32and I'm just going to sit them in at the back.
35:36Perfect.
35:41Now, to make our snowman,
35:43I've got some marshmallows.
35:45These are special pens that have an edible ink in them.
35:48So, we can draw on the marshmallows
35:50and know that they can still go in the hot chocolate.
35:54And then, he'll just sit
35:56in the chocolate.
36:01And you just pick these up from the supermarket.
36:04They come in all different colours.
36:12In you go, little fella.
36:16There you go, mate.
36:17A little bit of a hat.
36:19Pretzels for his arms.
36:31A little bit of a little top hat.
36:34A few sprinkles for good measure.
36:37And then, mate's got to go in the fridge to sit.
36:39And then, because we had them in the silicon mould,
36:52they should just pop out.
36:56And those are our little hot chocolate stirrers.
37:01And the girls are going to love them.
37:03Oh, hello.
37:10Knock, knock.
37:11Hello.
37:12Hello.
37:12Hello.
37:12Hello.
37:12A little birdie told me somebody likes a hot chocolate.
37:15Me?
37:16Uh-huh.
37:17So, look what I've made.
37:18Wow.
37:18You didn't mean it.
37:20Yeah.
37:20I made them last night.
37:21Oh, my God.
37:22The kids will love these.
37:25And then, all you're going to do is take it and you put it in your cup of hot milk.
37:29No, it can't be true.
37:30And just stir it.
37:31God.
37:32You are lying.
37:34This is better than the powder I use at home.
37:36Oh, it's starting to melt.
37:38You've got to have a hot chocolate with a marshmallow.
37:41Yeah.
37:42I'm having a cheeky dick.
37:45Right, OK, I'm going to leave that to one side and I'm going to let it melt.
37:49I might just have one little sip.
37:51Really good.
37:56Right, are you ready to level up your candle crafting?
37:59Yes.
38:00What if I said we could melt photographs?
38:03Well, that would be pretty epic.
38:06So, all I need to get your phones out.
38:08Right.
38:09And find a nice Christmassy photograph, right?
38:12Right.
38:13Now, while you're finding a Christmassy photograph, let me show you how I'm going to do it.
38:17Because this paper, regular copy paper, would be too much, it would be too stark white on the candle.
38:23Can you see?
38:23It would stand out, wouldn't it?
38:24Oh, yeah.
38:24Whereas, a bit of tissue paper goes almost invisible.
38:30So, that's too flimsy to go in the printer.
38:32So, all I'm going to do is I'm going to get my trusty tape pen and I'm going to put glue at the top of the paper, glue at the bottom of the paper, and then I'm just going to lie on and I've cut it to roughly the same size.
38:48This is just really wizardry now.
38:50And as long as I print into the middle, I've got the tissue paper ready to go.
38:55That is fantastic.
38:56Right.
38:57I think I've found mine.
38:58I've got a couple here.
39:00Right.
39:00But I think it's going to be that one.
39:02Which one do you think?
39:03Oh, that's so cute.
39:04Oh, yeah.
39:05Matching jammies.
39:06Matching.
39:06You put mine to shame.
39:07I've totally got to do that.
39:08I'm going to do it.
39:09Oh, you've got to do it.
39:10It's Christmas tradition.
39:11Yeah, I'm going to do it.
39:13Right.
39:14Airdrop it to me.
39:15Okay.
39:16So, let me send that to printer.
39:21Right.
39:22No.
39:23My printer's not.
39:23Yeah.
39:24How good is that?
39:25It's a good one.
39:26Look at that.
39:27Oh, she's being careful.
39:28Oh, be careful, Sarah.
39:30It's all right.
39:30It's all right.
39:31You might want to trim it down if you want.
39:34However, they do look really good with a torn edge.
39:38Really?
39:39Right.
39:39So, do you want to try tearing along the edge like this?
39:44So, when was that then?
39:45That was last Christmas.
39:48So, we've got Jake, me, Albert and Pixies in my belly.
39:53Oh, love it.
39:54Danny, have you got your picture ready?
39:55Yeah.
39:56Yes, it's coming.
39:58Look at our little bits.
40:00Right, it's coming, it's coming, it's coming.
40:03Wow.
40:04Do you want to just take it off the paper?
40:05Yeah.
40:06What are you going to print, Sarah?
40:07I've already done mine.
40:08Me and me sister.
40:09Oh, that is so cute.
40:11Last Christmas.
40:12Do you think?
40:13Yeah, I think you're so pretty like it.
40:14Yeah.
40:16So, you just go and trim yours.
40:17Shall we still tear and Sarah?
40:19Tear?
40:19You tear?
40:20Danny's trimming hers.
40:22How's it looking?
40:23How's your picture?
40:24Oh, nice.
40:26I love it.
40:27So, this is me, Santy, Summer and Star.
40:31So, this was their first Christmas, the twins.
40:33Oh.
40:34Lovely.
40:34That is the cutest.
40:37Right.
40:37So, you know the drill now.
40:39A little bit of greaseproof paper each.
40:41Yeah.
40:42We're going to put your picture at the front.
40:45Okay.
40:46Oh, turn it.
40:46Oh, I've got it the wrong way round you.
40:48What am I thinking?
40:49Well, you want to see it the right way?
40:51I don't know what I'm doing, honestly.
40:52But then where that's in the centre, lie that face down so that you can grab this around it.
41:00That's why I was going wrong.
41:01Yeah.
41:02Now, I've got the hair dryer, you've got the heat gun, and then all we're going to do is fold this over
41:06and start round the edges first, and then you'll watch it start and melt.
41:10Right, okay.
41:15Man, that's good how it just melts on, ain't it?
41:19Can you see it turning?
41:20Yeah.
41:21It's when it goes dark, that's when the top surface of the candle melts and it goes in.
41:25Oh, it's turning.
41:27Have you got it on the turn?
41:28It's on the turn.
41:29Turn.
41:29Isn't that good?
41:30Mm-hmm.
41:32The candle.
41:33Wow, my mind's blown.
41:34I cannot believe you can do this with any single candle in the house.
41:39All my candles when I get home are getting wrecked.
41:43Wow.
41:44Oh, does that look great?
41:46Oh, that is perfect.
41:50That is the cutest thing.
41:51That is the cutest.
41:52I want to take it home immediately.
41:54I think when it comes to arts and crafts, you think, oh, my God, it's going to be really difficult,
41:58but I didn't know how easy it was.
42:00Oh, it's nice when you put the light on as well.
42:03Oh, it's lovely with the light on.
42:04Oh, that's lovely.
42:06Right, I'm done, guys.
42:08You're done.
42:08Let's have a new meal.
42:09Right, OK, are you ready?
42:11Yes.
42:11You bet I am.
42:14Oh, I think I messed it up, or did I not?
42:17No, it's not.
42:17Have you just melted it too much?
42:18I need to melt it more.
42:20I need to melt it more.
42:20Right, right, just remember about the whole less is more thing, though.
42:23I just can't get it.
42:25Just a little bit.
42:26I just can't seem to get it.
42:28Don't over-melt it.
42:30We're fine.
42:32Oh, there.
42:33I've sorted it out.
42:34Panic over.
42:35Really, that was bad.
42:37I was panicking there.
42:39Wow.
42:40That really does look good, Tone.
42:42Oh, yes.
42:45I really want to take it home.
42:46I might give this to our Helen for Christmas.
42:48Oh, good idea.
42:49Yeah, she'll love that.
42:50She'll do that.
42:51You better put it prior to place in the mangle piece.
42:53She will.
42:54How about you?
42:55Who are you going to give it to?
42:56Myself.
42:57Same.
42:58Have you enjoyed it?
43:00I've had the best of you, haven't you?
43:02Yeah, I've had so much.
43:03I've had fun.
43:03It's been fun and it's been easy to remember and that's what I've loved about it.
43:07Yeah.
43:07And do you think you'll have a go at doing all these things again?
43:10100%?
43:11Yeah.
43:12Yeah.
43:13I might have walked into this thing, this crafty thing, with a bit of a big head, right?
43:19I've been brought back down to the ground.
43:21I know that Sarah is the craft queen.
43:24I'm not going to teach her anything, but I do hope I've won.
43:27Have I won?
43:28Do you know?
43:30Now, I'm supposed to be choosing a winner right now?
43:36Oh, don't.
43:36But I didn't realise it was a competition.
43:39I kind of knew that.
43:42She's like, I was here for the competition.
43:45It's really hard because if we were going on effort, I mean, I'd give you it all away.
43:52I haven't won, I know it.
43:55Well, Dani tells me no artistic brawns in her body.
43:58Well, I beg to differ.
44:00I think you've been super artistic.
44:02Yeah.
44:03If we were focusing on who's maybe been on the crafty journey, Dani would be the winner.
44:09So, therefore, we're both winners.
44:10Does that work?
44:11Yeah, we're all winners.
44:13I don't know.
44:15All right, well, Dani, you've won then.
44:20She's got to follow me on Instagram.
44:22No, I'm honestly going to take this to the crib.
44:24I mean, it's been so lovely.
44:28Obviously, the last time I see Charlotte, we was definitely out partying and now we're
44:32mums.
44:32So, we've just had a really lovely day crafting together.
44:35And, yeah, it's just been so great to see her.
44:38Honestly, I'm fine with it.
44:40It's fine.
44:40I'm not going.
44:41I walked into here with a really big head and I was slowly brought back down to earth
44:46by the crafting queen herself, Sarah.
44:48But she brought me back up again and I actually feel really confident in my crafting skills.
44:54Do you know, it's been so lovely having you two with us.
44:57All the mums together, a bit of Christmas craft, some lovely Christmas mags and I've had
45:02a lovely day.
45:03Thank you, no, we have.
45:04Thank you so much, Sarah.
45:06We'll have to get together and do it again.
45:07Yes.
45:08Yes, the crafty mammas.
45:10Yes.
45:10Oh, I love that.
45:11We need to watch that group.
45:12We're the craft version of Destiny's Child, yeah.
45:26Next time.
45:27No, it does look good.
45:28It's really good.
45:30The Christmas party preparations continue.
45:34For someone who doesn't drink, that looks like I've had six bottles of brandy.
45:37With two more celebrity crafters.
45:42I actually think mine looks mint, you know.
45:44It does.
45:45Oh.
46:07The Christmas party 1995.
46:16Oh, and of that Christmas is dedicated.
46:17Good morning.
46:20The Christmas party.
46:21We'll see you next time, Matt.
46:22If you lighten the Christmas party.
46:23I'm excited.
46:23You're so happy.
46:24We'll see you next time.
46:25Bye.
46:26Bye.
46:26Bye.
46:27Bye.
46:28Bye.
46:29Bye.
46:30Bye.
46:30Bye.
46:31Bye.
46:32Bye.
46:32Bye.
46:33Bye.
46:34Bye.
46:34Bye.
