00:00Wait, wait, wait, what's kofurfy, precious?
00:05Let's talk President Donald Trump and TV.
00:08On CBS's Late Show Tuesday night, Andy Serkis was happy to oblige Stephen Colbert's request
00:13to find out what Trump tweets would sound like in the voice of his Lord of the Rings character, Gollum.
00:19Serkis really got into it, curling up on Colbert's chair and saying,
00:24the fake news media has never been so wrong.
00:27Colbert grinned broadly as Serkis continued better than what I just did.
00:31To meet the agenda of hate, sad.
00:39Meanwhile, the guy, President Trump, whose tweets sound tremendous as Gollum
00:44and actually reviewed TV host Stephen Colbert, calling him a no-talent guy and filthy,
00:50among other things, apparently he won't see any of this because he doesn't watch TV.
00:57Just cut to the tweet.
00:59The White House is functioning perfectly.
01:01Focus on health care, tax cuts, reform, and many other things.
01:06I have very little time for watching TV.
01:09I think that reform was real.
01:10Trump sent that tweet only hours after praising his son, Donald Trump Jr.'s Tuesday appearance on Hannity,
01:17which airs on TV.
01:19Okay, so maybe he quit TV after watching his son Tuesday night?
01:23I can't watch me, stories about me, or my offspring anymore.
01:27I have better things to do.
01:29I should tweet this.
01:31Trump, of course, frequently posts about TV news coverage,
01:34and stop me if you've already heard about the video the president tweeted
01:37of him body slamming a CNN logo head guy.
01:41Yes, that still actually happened.
01:43Anyway, on Wednesday, two minutes after Trump's very little TV post,
01:47The Washington Post's Philip Rucker tweeted this about the Commander-in-Chief's viewing patterns.
01:52White House officials tell us President Trump has been watching plenty of TV news this week
01:56when he's had nothing on his public schedule.
01:59That's right.
02:00The news media has been jumping in immediately to keep what our president says,
02:04does, and tweets, in check.
02:06We respond to correct the record,
02:09explained CNN spokesman Matt Dornick about the need to push back against the president's attacks.
02:14Dornick says he gets frustrated if breaking Trump news doesn't get corrected within 30 minutes.
02:20So, guys, what's your take on the president's claim he has no time for TV?
02:24And what do you think about Gollum reading his tweets?
02:27And how about my Gollum-Trump impression?
02:29Fantastic.
