00:00What's the one chore you just can't stand doing?
00:03Laundry?
00:04Cleaning?
00:05Putting away the groceries?
00:07Turns out a growing number of Americans are done with all of it
00:11and are willing to pay to get that time back.
00:14This is a new convenience economy where saving time matters more than saving money.
00:19And companies are catching on.
00:22Fast.
00:23GE and Samsung now sell combo washer dryers
00:27that wash and dry your clothes in one go.
00:30No soggy transfer in between for up to $2,000.
00:35Home Depot has electronic scrubbers that spend 400 times a minute to speed up cleaning.
00:41And Walmart is expanding its $100 premium loyalty program.
00:46For an extra $40, someone can deliver your groceries and put them away
00:51exactly where you want them.
00:53You'd think with the inflation trauma, tariff worries, and economic anxiety,
00:57shoppers would be holding back.
00:59But according to a 2024 Morgan Stanley survey, consumers are actually spending
01:045% more on average for convenience.
01:08It all comes down to that old saying,
01:10time is money.
01:12And for a lot of Americans, time feels more valuable than ever.
01:16Retailers are betting big on products that make life faster,
01:20easier, or at least less annoying.
01:23Because right now, the biggest luxury isn't something you can buy off the shelf.
01:27It's having one less thing to do.
