00:16However, shortly into their conversation, a man in the crowd interrupted their discussion at the Upper East Side event space, walking toward the stage and shouting Barrymore's name.
00:24The man approached the stage and said, you know who I am. I need to see you at some point while I'm in New York.
00:30The unsettling moment was captured by an audience member and posted to TikTok.

00:47Rapp stood and walked over to the actress, putting her arm around Barrymore and escorting her off the stage.
00:53A member of the venue's security team then removed the individual.
00:56The two returned to the stage a few minutes later and resumed their conversation.

01:08As the event concluded, Barrymore exited the stage and Rapp performed three songs as planned.
01:14Rapp also thanked the audience for remaining calm and staying safe during the earlier incident.
01:18A representative from the NYPD told THR that there were no reports on file in relation to the incident.
