Drew Barrymore is officially coming to daytime TV.

00:00Drew Barrymore is the newest star joining the daytime talk show circuit.

00:05It was announced today that the actress will headline and executive produce a

00:08syndicated talk show for CBS set to launch in fall of 2020.

00:12Barrymore, whose recent projects included Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet and a judge

00:17on CBS' talent competition The World's Best, says it was beyond her wildest dreams to be

00:21able to host her own daytime talk show and adds,

00:24"...I'm truly thrilled and honored to be creating the show with CBS."

00:27The actress is joining the ranks of a star-studded new lineup in daytime TV this season

00:32that includes shows hosted by Kelly Clarkson, Tamron Hall and Nick Cannon among others.

00:37And that's not all, daytime TV is also getting a Jerry Springer court show,

00:41Judge Jerry through NBCUniversal, as well as a Meredith Vieira hosted game show,

00:4625 Words or Less through Fox TV.

00:48As for Barrymore, the actress previously had discussions with Warner Bros. TV in 2016

00:53about a daytime talker, but that project never came together.
