What does it mean to be here this morning with your One Battle After Another castmates, Regina and Tiana?
00:05
Oh my gosh, I just, anytime I get to be in a room with them, I just feel so happy because I'm so fortunate
00:11
that I get to promote an incredible movie that we love so much with an incredible group of women.
00:16
And since we're celebrating women in entertainment today, and you worked with amazing women on that film,
00:21
who's another woman in Hollywood you'd love to collaborate with next?
00:24
Oh my gosh, there's so many people I would love to collaborate.
00:27
I would love to work with Denae Benton. I would love to work with Audra McDonald.
00:33
I just saw Kerry Washington. I'd love to work with her.
00:35
There's a bunch of people I would love to work with.
00:38
As we're heading into awards season, so many awards experts are putting you on their list of frontrunners
00:44
for the Oscars, the Golden Globes, like our awards expert, Scott Feinberg.
00:49
When you see that, what goes through your mind?
00:51
I mean, it's kind of crazy that I'm even in the conversation because it's an insane thing to think about.
00:58
But I just, I feel, I'm so happy that people are responding to my character and to Willa and they're loving the film.
01:04
So more than anything, I feel the love of that.
01:06
What's been one surreal moment you've experienced since the movie came out?
01:10
Oh my gosh, getting responses back from people saying they've seen the movie.
01:15
And I think that like, that's been the craziest thing is seeing people that I've, I've watched on the screen for so long
01:21
and I look up to and people who inspire me saying that they've seen that film and they've connected with it.
01:26
That's been the really, the craziest part about all of it.
01:28
And who's a woman in Hollywood who you consider to be a mentor to you?
01:32
Ruth Nega, 100%.
01:34
I love her so much and she is such an inspiration and will continue to be.
01:40
And I can look to her for anything.
