00:00How does it feel to be here this morning surrounded by so many powerful women?
00:04It feels wonderful and it's really exciting what The Hollywood Reporter is doing,
00:07giving back with scholarships and mentorship to create more diversity across the entertainment industry
00:14and bringing up young women and holding each other up. It's amazing.
00:19Since we're celebrating women in entertainment here today, who's a woman in Hollywood who inspires you?
00:25Well, my friend Sarah Paulson, I would say.
00:26Yeah, she just does so many characters and it's kind of like falling off a log, you know?
00:32I watched her get back from the All's Fair tour and she's like, I'm at work and she's imitating Eileen Wuornos, who she's playing.
00:38But like yesterday she was in Vegas.
00:41I'm like, how do you, what?
00:43What, are you just a wizard? Are you just like a robot? Acting robot?
00:47I don't know how she does it.
00:49And also just her friendship and she like told me at the beginning of Emmys,
00:54like if you have any questions or you just need any support or anything, that just means so much to me.
01:02And I think, to be honest with you, the community in general has embraced me so much.
01:06And it's just so true that we really are held up by each other.
01:11Sarah is also going to be here this morning.
01:13Why do you think it's important to surround yourself with a community of supportive women in the industry?
01:17Well, it's a lot more fun, you know?
01:21And I think we can lean on each other.
01:24We can ask each other questions and help each other out, you know?
01:29Whether it be sharing, like I've shared my breast cancer story and getting through that acting with other actresses.
01:38And they have helped me when I'm navigating new waters post-Emmy win.
01:42I haven't been here before.
01:43You know, I don't know what this is like, you know?
01:46We're asking people this morning, if you were putting together your dream project of an entire female cast and crew,
01:53who are the superstars that have to be involved?
01:56Glenn Close, Holland Taylor, Jesse Buckley, Sarah Paulson, and Fiona Durif.
02:07I love that. What a great list.
02:09How has your life changed since your Emmy win earlier this year?
02:13I think it just feels really wonderful.
02:17I think it feels, I feel very held up by my community.
02:20You know, an Emmy win is a vote from your peers.
02:23And it was just very moving.
02:25And it made me actually feel really loved.
02:27Because when you really think about it, it's just a bunch of your friends or your peers voting for you.
02:32And it made me feel really supported and loved.
02:36And viewers are so excited for the next season of The Pit.
02:40What are you excited for them to see in Season 2 that you can tease?
02:43I think we see a change with some of our main characters reeling from what happened with them last year,
02:50whether it's Langdon going to rehab or Dana getting punched or Robbie still being off balance.
02:55But it's a nice continuation and we're not gripping tight to what Season 1 was in terms of the characters that we've allowed them to develop.
03:04So I think it'll be exciting to see.
03:06I'm excited doing it.
03:08I'm like, oh my God, you want me to do this?
03:10So it's cool.
03:11I'm like, oh my God.
