00:00that we look at the AP top 25 and so many times I see this I'm like oh we're talking about football

00:04again no we're not Purdue Arizona Michigan Duke and UConn by the way Michigan putting some really

00:09good teams to shame as of late moves into that three spot a lot of good basketball teams a lot

00:15still to be determined but for me I just don't watch college basketball until we flip that

00:19calendar to the new year Joe well it's you know we're starting to get certainly what a lot of the

00:24the mid-major conferences starting to get some conference play here now that you know some of

00:31these early season tournaments are are going away here Donnie so yeah conference tournament times

00:38a little bit different it coaches have given you know themselves an opportunity to figure out

00:43rotations what players are what and who and where so some of the craziness that we've seen thus far

00:49in college basketball will begin to go away and we'll start to get a much more steady performance

00:55from teams now the kids know exactly where they are in the pecking order what the rotations are

01:01and I for one think it's going to be an awful lot of fun especially this ACC SEC matchup that's coming

01:08up here this week that's one of my favorite tournaments of the year and it really gives

01:13teams a pretty good litmus test as to where are you right now and now that you've played for a month

01:19month and a half together yeah it's actually it is a really good thing that they started up and

01:23matching like versus like competition not just like rolling the dice like oh good team plays

01:27horrendous team you try to match them up and it makes a lot of sense we got a good matchup tonight

01:31at Cameron Indoor that's Florida taking on Duke here look at that line opened up at Fandu at minus

01:36eight and a half we're actually down to six and a half at Fandu but most outlets are showing

01:40seven and a half DraftKings bet MGM bet 365 and a total Joe of 156 and a half as we look currently

01:47to 157 and a half can Duke handle the business at home against Florida enough to cover that line

01:53and by the way I mean this is sort of the difference between college basketball and college football

01:59right kudos to John Shire and Todd Golden the Duke and Florida coaches for scheduling this game at this

02:07point here and giving each other you know top 25 opportunity giving them uh giving their kids an

02:13opportunity uh to test one another and for Florida listen the big issue for them has been working in

02:19that new uh backcourt there their guard play uh their transfers they got a ton of big men there uh that

02:27have returned right Thomas Hall probably uh one of the biggest names but a lot of new faces there Alex

02:33Condon's been there Chennai has been there but the problem is they can't get it together offensively Florida

02:40that will come in time but boy oh boy let's see how they do at Cameron Indoor with Cameron Boozer

02:45and the rest of his Duke team that looks pretty good uh Donnie no Cooper flag but my goodness this

02:53team looks pretty good once again the Duke Blue Devils Connecticut goes to the fog tonight to take on

02:59Kansas how about this line opened up around one and a half now we're sitting two and a half live here

03:03and a 140 and a half price point if we take a look at UConn and Kansas Kansas's best player not

03:09back yet Joe is that correct is that why we're seeing this line still as a dog for Kansas and it's

03:14so funny Donnie because he hasn't been back but yet we continue to see them win games and win games

03:19against top 25 teams in the tournaments and they have done very well but that's Bill Self that's

03:24coaching for you and listen it's not like they have a bunch of two-star athletes on that team

03:30recruited to Kansas it's one of the better teams money can buy even if your best player

03:35is not available very tough but they're doing it Donnie with defense which of course early in the

03:42season will win you some games you probably have no business winning North Carolina and Kentucky two

03:49blue bloods getting off here tonight and that is against or excuse me it's gonna be in Rupp Arena here

03:53how about this spread I had the opening look ahead line Joe eight and a half at FanDuel now we're seeing

03:58five and a half across the board and a total of 161 and a half the best roster money can buy in

04:05Kentucky taking on those Carolina Tar Heels yeah poor Mark Polk there but listen I don't want to say

04:10it's a must-have game but Kentucky already has lost two games to one to Louisville one to Michigan State

04:18you've already shown that you're not in that same conversation with some of the other upper tier

04:24you need to win this game on your own home court here tonight against North Carolina the market

04:31well they're there looks like they're fading them here Donnie and I don't blame them yeah good stuff

04:36though again like looking at the use it's like hey a bunch of really good teams play bad teams here

04:40it's nice when the conferences get together and match up those like versus like competition you get

04:44that measuring stick game because you're still before the holiday break and the all-important conference

04:49schedule which really kicks off late late December and early January and before you know it

04:53we'll be talking about March Bandits who's getting in the final four at the national champion

04:57then in the baseball season yeah it goes that quick same as our number one did we'll see you right back

05:03oh yeah Joe we're looking for winners tonight where are we going hmm where are we going well

05:14I am going to go to the ACC slash SEC battle here at Cameron Indoor with the Florida Gators

05:23now getting seven and a half this opened up eight and a half Donnie and it's already the money starting

05:29to come in on the Gators and I agree with it listen to start the season the champions they were overvalued

05:36they returned a ton of production all the big men from last year but they did have to replace their guards

05:43they brought in Xavier and Lee and Boogie Fland and yeah they just have not figured it out

05:49offensively with those two guys but they will uh and the fact that now we're getting them at this

05:56kind of price I think is a buy low spot here especially in a game they have plenty enough size

06:03and experience Florida to make Cameron uh Cameron Boozer work for every point this feels like it's going to

06:10come down to the last couple of possessions I'm getting more than two buckets here uh for a

06:16defending national champs that has this much talent I'll take the seven and a half here with the Florida

06:21and a half here with the Gators tonight
