00:00Here's your breakdown of what to watch this weekend in THR's now screening.
00:04First, THR's chief TV critic, Daniel Feinberg, has his top pick of what you should check out.
00:08It's hard to describe Michaela Cole's new HBO series, I May Destroy You, which premieres Sunday.
00:14Episodes are a half hour, but it definitely isn't a comedy,
00:18which may surprise fans of Cole's Netflix writing-starring debut, Chewing Gum.
00:22I May Destroy You is the story of a millennial writer who wakes up from a night partying with friends,
00:27unable to remember anything.
00:28She begins to put together the pieces, and to suspect she was sexually assaulted.
00:33It's a little bit of mystery, a little bit of story of revenge,
00:36a little bit of story about a woman finding her voice after trauma.
00:40It's bracing, angry, occasionally funny, and very much a show that speaks to the way
00:45a lot of people are trying to process the world in 2020.
00:48Sometimes it gets a bit much.
00:50What do you do when it gets a bit much?
00:52Try yoga?
00:53Painting?
00:54Painting?
00:55Handicrafts?
00:56I don't even think I know what Handicrafts is.
00:59It definitely won't be for everybody, but if you don't know Michaela Cole and her work,
01:03she's an emerging voice we're going to be hearing a lot from.
01:06Thanks, Daniel.
01:07Over on Netflix, the fourth and final season of 13 Reasons Why is now streaming.
01:11What if they're watching him now?
01:13What if they're watching all of us?
01:21The Hollywood Reporter sat down with stars Ross Butler, Alicia Bowe, and Brandon Flynn before
01:25stay-at-home orders, and they told us what makes season four different from the previous
01:29three.
01:29You get answers.
01:31You get answers?
01:32Yeah.
01:33Wrap it up.
01:34It's time to go.
01:36It's senioritis.
01:38Like, everyone is graduating high school.
01:40Senioritis, that's a perfect way to accept.
01:42And you can see it in the tone, too, because the light moments can get really light.
01:47Yeah.
01:47But also a lot of the dark moments can get really dark.
01:51Plus, new episodes of Queer Eye just hit Netflix.
01:53The show's fifth season sees the Fab Five take on the city of brotherly love, aka Philadelphia,
01:58and transform 10 new heroes.
02:00My friends now get all the attention, and I'm just off in the corner.
02:04These expectations that you're holding on to, they're causing burdens in your life.
02:08Meanwhile, on Hulu, the Sundance Film Festival hit Shirley is now available to stream.
02:12Elizabeth Moss stars in the biographical thriller as renowned horror writer Shirley Jackson.
02:17She's gone sick in the head.
02:19I read your story.
02:20What are you doing here?
02:22It made me feel thrillingly horrible.
02:24Until next week's Now Screening, I'm Tiffany Taylor for The Hollywood Reporter News.
