01:42that presidentially designated narco-terrorist groups

01:46are subject to lethal targeting in accordance with the laws of war.

01:50With respect to the strikes in question on September 2nd,

01:53Secretary Hegsat authorized Admiral Bradley to conduct these kinetic strikes.

01:58Admiral Bradley worked well within his authority and the law,

02:02directing the engagement to ensure the boat was destroyed

02:05and the threat to the United States of America was eliminated.

02:09And I would just add one more point to remind the American public

02:12why these lethal strikes are taking place.

02:14Because this administration has designated these narco-terrorists

02:18as foreign terrorist organizations.

02:20The president has a right to take them out

02:22if they are threatening the United States of America

02:24and if they are bringing illegal narcotics

02:27that are killing our citizens at a record rate,

02:29which is what they are doing.

02:31And under the previous administration,

02:32there was enough fentanyl trafficked into our country

02:35to kill every American man, woman, and child many times over.

02:40And so that's why you've seen a drastic difference

02:42in this administration's policy with respect to the last.

02:46And it's one of the many reasons

02:47the American public re-elected this president

02:49and support this secretary of war in conducting these strikes.
