Watch two of them give each other kisses when they reunite at a sanctuary ❤️ Caleb from Farm Sanctuary told us how hard they worked to be able to rescue 2 of the 40 cows that had escaped, and how sweet it is how much they love each other now!
00:00They were running around the streets, still just fighting for their life, after they all escaped from a slaughterhouse.
00:10Someone didn't properly close a gate, and 40 cows pushed up against it, and they were all able to break out and make a run for it.
00:18There was a lot of hope in the beginning, but as we continued watching the news coverage, it became more and more clear that they were going to capture most of them.
00:26It was very disheartening watching them get caught again, and knowing what their most likely fate would be.
00:37June was one of the last to be caught, and by the time that they had caught her, it had already become a very large news story.
00:45So we had reached out to the slaughterhouse and asked if we could rescue her.
00:52They only allowed us to take June.
00:56Then they found that there was still one cow on the run.
01:01Seven days after they all broke out, Susan was still just fighting for her life.
01:06Once again, we were able to convince them to let us rescue her as well.
01:12You're okay, honey. It's okay.
01:14The two of them immediately bonded and became super protective of each other.
01:23We don't know how much they spent time together before they came to Sanctuary, but once they got here, they have only gotten closer.
01:30But it really goes to show just how deeply they feel, how much they love, how much they fear.
01:45They are definitely among one of the most incredible stories that I've been able to be a part of.
