00:00First and foremost, though, let's go over the latest in sports betting, which includes those of you who live in Missouri.
00:06Buckle up. You can now bet legally on sports.
00:09Online sports betting goes live in Missouri officially today.
00:13And the first bets are being placed.
00:15So if you live in St. Louis, Kansas City or anywhere else, for those of you who are not informed, let me inform you.
00:21You can now currently bet on sports.
00:23Also big news in college football yesterday, maybe even bigger in the college football playoff.
00:31Folks, this was the story of the weekend in football in general.
00:35Lane Kiffin heads to LSU.
00:38That's his official destination for the future.
00:41This did not come with a lot of rumor, a lot of innuendo.
00:44In fact, you know, he wanted to stay apparently and still coach the team in the college football playoff.
00:50The athletic director said no.
00:53So he's now the head coach at LSU and their defensive coordinator will take over for the remainder of this season, including the college football playoffs.
01:01And actually, we'll talk more about this coming up a little bit later in the show.
01:04Very big story there.
01:05All right.
01:05In the National Football League, the Denver Broncos win yet another close game.
01:10Final score, 27 to 26.
01:13It was a wild finish that the Broncos end up taking.
01:16They've played more one-score games than any team in the AFC this season.
01:20The team in the NFC, by the way, that's played that much has been the Atlanta Falcons.
01:24R.J. Harvey had a couple of touchdowns.
01:27And again, 27-26 was the final.
01:30Bo Nix, solid game, 300 yards passing.
01:32An incredible catch, by the way, overshadowed by Washington late in this game.
01:37But another one-possession game for the Broncos.
01:38How do they keep getting it done?
01:40Here's Sean Payton.
01:40Look, obviously, a close game, a hard-fought game.
01:47Both teams did a lot of things well.
01:50I'm sure both teams, when we look at the film, probably did some things we didn't want to do.
01:54But those guys came out and fought hard.
02:00So did our guys.
02:01And we made a play at the end.
02:04That was the difference.
02:05Coming off the field, it just felt those are games you do love to be a part of.
02:11It's an absolute battle.
02:13Two teams going for it, throwing punches back and forth.
02:17And I hate the outcome, but I love the fight.
02:22It's been tough as hell for a while.
02:25And I thought our guys played hard as hell.
02:28So I'm proving us all where we can get better.
02:30And obviously, there's plenty of room to continue to do that.
02:32But, man, it was nice to have some guys back.
02:35Terry, I thought, made a bunch of big plays.
02:37Zach, in the same space.
02:39But I thought one that just had like a warrior performance was Marcus.
02:42You know, just kind of welling it on some plays, using his arm, using his legs.
02:46You know, it's tough ones to overcome.
02:49But like I said, I hate the outcome.
02:51But I do love to fight where we're at.
02:52And get ready to start with you guys.
02:55Buffalo Bills take care of the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that they had to have
03:00to stay alive in the playoff chase.
03:0226-7 was the final.
03:05Total 44.5 in this game as Josh Allen and company uses the ground game to get it done.
03:11In fact, it was the most rushing yards ever at Heinz Field by an opponent.
03:16Over 200 in this game between Cook and Ray Davis.
03:21Here's Josh Allen on the success of the running game.
03:24Yeah, I mean, I think there were some opportunities for our backs, you know, just making guys miss
03:29in space.
03:31I don't know the exact stats.
03:33I know Ty had a really big one on third down.
03:36Jimbo had a couple.
03:39But, yeah, I mean, there's just some space there and just trying to take advantage of
03:42it and get the ball out quick.
03:45You know, I think with this D-line, that's kind of how you have to be is ball out type
03:50throws and find space, I think if we eliminate that first turnover, it's a pretty solid night
03:55in the pass game.
03:58Also, the Indianapolis Colts thought they were going to have an easy time with the Houston
04:02Texans over the weekend.
04:03That was not the case.
04:04The Texans defense continues to play like the best in the NFL.
04:08They beat Indianapolis 20-16, total of 43.5 in this game as the Houston Texans now capturing
04:16a piece of the AFC South.
04:18We'll get to the Jaguars in just a minute.
04:20But first, let's hear from C.J. Stroud, who said going on the road and picking up a win
04:24against a division opponent is key.
04:28Yeah, I mean, there's always, you know, that little thought in the back of your mind, you
04:31know, like division opponent, you know, it's a big win, you know, big time game, good opponent.
04:37So, you know, I just think in those moments, that's all week, but it's just your preparation,
04:41you know, how you prepare.
04:42So, you know, I thought, you know, as a team, we prepare the right way, we practice the right
04:46way.
04:46So, you know, I think we went out there, you know, execute at a high level.
04:50There's a lot of things we can clean up, but I thought for the most part, we moved the
04:53ball, you know, pretty well and, you know, punched the ball in, you know, in the end
04:56zone, you know, twice there.
04:58And then, you know, getting good field goals and, you know, timely drives, you know, I
05:01think was a good thing.
05:02So all that goes to the preparation.
05:06Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars, they're in first place in the South.
05:10They blow out the Titans by a final of 25-3, taking care of Tennessee like most teams
05:15have done this season.
05:16Liam Cohen seems to be in playoff mode already, says it's one game at a time.
05:21It's just one week at a time, want to know, you know, for the rest of the way, we're giving
05:26ourselves an opportunity to play meaningful games in November and December.
05:31And that's ultimately all you can ask for in this league.
05:34And the rest of the way, you've got competitive, meaningful football games.
05:38And I think that that's just an important, you know, thing for us to go through as a
05:44team, you know, in year one, to have the opportunity to do those things and to earn that, I think
05:50is important for us to be able to continue to move forward as a team.
05:54Trevor started at like six and seven for two touchdowns.
05:57Just what kind of day was today for him?
05:59Yeah, I thought he played pretty well.
06:01He was under some duress.
06:02We had some injuries up front, obviously, but I thought early on, especially that he
06:07was accurate, was seeing the field well, made some good throws for us, scrambled a few more
06:13times.
06:14But I do think that he played well.
06:18Chargers dominate the Las Vegas Raiders, as most teams have been doing lately.
06:22They end up covering the spread and winning the game 31 to 14.
06:26Kimani Vidal had a nice game on the ground for the Chargers as the Raiders are headed toward
06:30the, maybe the number one overall pick of the draft.
06:32Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks saw a quarterback they had never seen before in Max Brosmer of
06:38the Minnesota Vikings.
06:39He played, it did not go particularly well.
06:42Seattle shuts out Minnesota 26 to nothing yesterday as Seattle cruising toward the playoffs.
06:49Also, Bryce Young and the Panthers beat the Rams yesterday.
06:53Rams were nine and a half point favorites in this one, but 31 to 28 was the final as Carolina
06:59stays alive in the playoff push and the 49ers take care of the Cleveland Browns on the road.
07:04That final was 26 to 8.
07:06Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after losing three games in a row, finally back on track.
07:10They beat the Cardinals.
07:11Final score 20 to 17.
07:13They didn't cover this one and the game went under the total.
07:16How about the New York Jets finally picking up another win?
07:18Nick Falk, 56-yard field goal, gives them a win over the Atlanta Falcons.
07:24And although it was closer than they would have expected, the Dolphins ended up beating the Saints
07:29by a final of 21 to 17.
07:31The Florida Gators have a new head coach.
07:33His name is John Sumrall.
07:35He's the head coach of Tulane.
07:36And he'll continue to coach the team as they move forward into the college football playoff.
07:41Kentucky dismissed Mark Stoops.
07:43He's fired.
07:44And Michigan State has targeted Pat Fitzgerald as their new head coach.
