'The Drew Barrymore Show' is back...again. After suffering controversy by making a return in the midst of the writers strike, the actress-host has set her post strike WGA return date of her daytime talk show on Oct. 16.

00:05midst of the writer's strike, the actress and host has set her post-WGA strike return date of
00:10her daytime talk show on October 16th. After initially announcing and strongly defending
00:16her show's plan to return amid the writer's strike on September 18th, Barrymore received
00:21extensive backlash for her decision and many picketed her New York City studio as she attempted
00:26to resume production. On September 17th, she chose to delay the show's return until the end of the
00:31writer's strike. Other shows that employ WGA writers and had planned on a September 18th return before
00:37delaying it included The Talk, which now plans to return on October 9th, and The Jennifer Hudson
00:42Show, which returned on October 2nd. Also on Wednesday morning, Kelly Clarkson announced that
00:47she will return with her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, which also employs WGA writers
