"I've auditioned twice that I didn't write."
Transcript
00:00I auditioned, I think I've auditioned twice that I didn't write.
00:09The first time I was sent to do an advert, I was just starting out,
00:16and I went to do an advert, and I was in the waiting room,
00:21and there was people I sort of vaguely recognised from telly,
00:25and they were saying, I haven't worked since February.
00:28And it just got me depressed.
00:30And then I had to go in and shout, pretend to be a yoghurt or something.
00:35And I called my agent and said, I never want to do this again.
00:40And then the other time I went along for an audition,
00:44and it was for a part in a Shakespeare play.
00:49I was a fool in a Shakespeare play.
00:51And I've never read Shakespeare.
00:53I did it for O-Level.
00:55I didn't get it.
00:56I didn't understand it.
00:57I read it.
00:58And they were cracking up like this was the best.
01:00I was thinking, I don't know why this is funny.
01:03I didn't get it.
01:04Right?
01:05And I was sort of doing it my way.
01:07And the director was laughing.
01:08And I don't know what the words meant.
01:12Right?
01:13And they said, you've got the part.
01:17And I was sort of a little bit famous.
01:19I think I don't know you've got the part.
01:20Again, I called my agent and said, I've just given me the part,
01:22but I don't want it because I don't know why it was funny.
01:24Yeah.
01:26So two auditions.
01:27One I got and turned down.
01:29One I didn't get.
01:30And I think that is the two auditions I've ever gone for.
01:33Did you fire your agent after that?
01:34No, no, no, he's here tonight.
01:36Oh, sorry.
01:36I should have said that.
01:37No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
