U.S. President Donald Trump defended his controversial remark calling Venezuela “not a very friendly country” following a phone call with Nicolás Maduro. He cited concerns over illegal immigration, gangs, and drugs, while dismissing claims that a Caribbean killing order involving Hegseth was issued. Trump emphasized that no such action took place and downplayed questions about potential strikes.

00:00Because we consider Venezuela to be not a very friendly country.
00:05They said millions of people really and probably a number in excess of that.
00:11And a lot of those people shouldn't be in our country from jails, from gangs, from drug dealers,
00:18from all of the people that came into our country shouldn't have been in our country, causing a lot of problems and drugs.
00:25Does your warning mean that an air strike is imminent, or should we not read it that way?
00:30We don't read anything into it.
00:31The New York Times reported that you had a phone call with Maduro. Did you?
00:35I don't want to comment on it. The answer is yes.
00:37And can you tell us a little bit about it?
00:38No, I can't do that.
00:40Would you say it went well?
00:44I wouldn't say it went well or badly.
00:47A phone call, yeah.
00:48Can you talk a little bit about the strikes and the controversy around the Secretary of Defense keeping said?
00:54I don't know anything about it.
00:56He said he did not say that, and I believe that it was.
00:59You don't know if there was a second strike to kill the two men?
01:02No, he said he didn't do it. He said he never said it.
01:05Would you be okay with that if he did?
01:08He said he didn't do it, so I don't have to make that decision.
01:10All right, Mr. You've made so clear how you want to keep drugs out of the U.S.
01:15Right.
01:15Can you explain more about why you had pardoned a notorious drug trafficker?
01:19Well, I don't know who you're talking about.
01:21Why, Orlando Hernandez?
01:23Well, I was told, I was asked by Honduras, many of the people of Honduras, they said it was a Biden set-up.
01:29I don't mean Biden, look, Biden didn't know he was alive.
01:32But it was the people that surround the Resolute Desk, surround Biden when he was there, which was about very little time.
01:40And the people of Honduras really thought he was set-up, and it was a terrible thing.
01:46He was the president of the country.
01:48And they basically said he was a drug dealer because he was the president of the country.
01:52And they said it was a Biden administration set-up.
01:56And I looked at the facts, and I agree with them.
01:58What evidence did you share that he was set-up and that he wasn't?
02:02Well, you take a look.
02:02I mean, they could say that you take any country you want.
02:05If somebody sells drugs in that country, that doesn't mean you arrest the president and put him in jail for the rest of this life.
02:11That includes this country, okay, to be honest.
02:17I mean, if somebody does something wrong, you put the president of the country in jail.
02:20They said it was a Biden set-up, it was a Biden administration set-up, and you have a big race going on this week, you know, next week.
02:30I think it's going to be a very important race.
02:32It'll be interesting to see Honduras.
02:34That's what you're talking about, right?
02:35Correct, yes.
02:36You're in prison.
02:37Yes, ma'am.
02:37I think it's the witness going to Moscow, and they want to accept Putin's sort of deadline.
02:43Well, what is the second part of your question?
02:45No, I don't have a deadline.
