U.S. President Donald Trump defended the seizure of a Venezuelan oil tanker, declaring, “We’re going to keep the oil,” citing a “very good reason” for the action. Trump also addressed concerns over national security, immigration, and law enforcement, emphasizing the removal of dangerous individuals from the country. In a separate remark, Trump expressed concern over the potential arrest of Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado, highlighting the ongoing tensions surrounding Venezuela.

00:00It's just been an interesting day from the standpoint of news.
00:06As you probably know, we've just seized a tanker
00:11on the coast of Venezuela, a large tanker, very large.
00:16Largest one ever seized, actually.
00:19And other things are happening, so you'll be seeing that later,
00:24and you'll be talking about that later with some other people.
00:26Explain a little more about this Venezuelan oil tanker,
00:29and share a little more information.
00:31Well, I'll let the people do it, but you see the result,
00:34and I guess they probably have released the pictures by now, or pretty soon.
00:39You'll discuss that with the appropriate people later on,
00:42but no, it was seized for a very good reason.
00:45So the question sounds about Cuba.
00:47Sir, there's a new proposal from DHS that would see tourists from a lot of countries
00:51have to hand over five years of social media history to get a tourist visa.
00:55Are you concerned at all that if that's implemented,
00:58there would be a decline in tourism next year?
01:00And what sort of material do you think is going to happen?
01:02We're doing so well.
01:03We just want people to come over here and save.
01:05We want safety.
01:06We want security.
01:07We want to make sure we're not letting the wrong people come into our country.
01:12We're getting rid of a lot of bad ones from jails, from mental institutions, drug dealers.
01:19And we're getting a lot of bad people, murderers.
01:2211,888 murderers, half of them, almost exactly half of them, committed more than one murder.
01:31We're getting rid of them.
01:33In some cases, we don't even want to get them out.
01:35We put them in jail because we're afraid they're going to come back into our country.
01:38We're not going to let them back in.
01:39And so we've taken a very tough stand.
01:42And you see where we've been, like Washington, D.C.
01:45Now people walk down the streets.
01:46They go into restaurants at night.
01:48It's beautiful.
01:49It's like this beautiful thing to see because until I got here, this was a very, very bad place.
01:56We had a terrible thing happen two weeks ago with terrorism with regard to two National
02:01Guards people that are so phenomenal.
02:04One is no longer with us.
02:05And one, amazingly, we weren't looking with great hope on that, you know, that Andrew.
02:13And today he got out of bed, actually.
02:16He got stood up.
02:17Didn't say anything.
02:18It's a little early.
02:19But the chances of Andrew, other than his mother, who said, nope, he's going to be okay.
02:26His mother was the most positive person.
02:29And it could be that she'll be right.
02:31It's pretty amazing.
02:32Made progress.
02:34It was both of them were so badly hurt, we never thought that one could survive.
02:40So it looks like Andrew's doing pretty well.
02:43The winner of the Nobel Prize, dedicated the prize to you, the Nobel Peace Prize, and she
02:49in Venezuela had a great risk to make it to the ceremony.
02:52There is a risk she could be arrested, actually.
02:54What would happen if she's arrested?
02:55What message do you send or would you send to Nicolas Maduro?
02:59Well, arrested by who?
03:00The Nobel Prize Committee?
03:01That's probably the ones that would arrest.
03:05I don't know anything about it.
03:06She was very gracious.
03:07She said, I should have gotten the Nobel Prize, and I don't, you know, I mean, I'm doing
03:11this to save lives.
03:12I'm not doing it for any other reason.
03:15But, no, I don't like if she would be arrested.
03:18I wouldn't be happy with that.
