00:00Yeah, Eric, I think Colleague's people found us.
00:04What is it?
00:05Get to the attic now.
00:07Fox's 24 Legacy will not return for a second season, but never fear 24 fans,
00:13that doesn't mean the franchise is done forever.
00:15While the network has decided to cancel 24 Legacy after just one season,
00:19Fox is already talking with 24 producers about a new anthological take on the franchise.
00:24Producers Howard Gordon and Brian Grazer are said to be very involved.
00:28The network remains confident that 24 will return for a new incarnation that would be built
00:33around 24's famous real-time storytelling device, but it will not be a version of Legacy,
00:38meaning the show's stars Corey Hawkins, Jimmy Smits and Miranda Otto would not be involved.
00:44The anthology format makes sense for the franchise and would allow for the creation
00:48of new storylines and characters. 24 remains a valuable franchise for Fox.
00:53It originally ran for eight seasons before being revived with original star Kiefer Sutherland
00:58for event series 24 Live Another Day. Legacy followed that series, but it was built around
01:03Hawkins and told a new story.
01:0524 Legacy launched in the prime post-Super Bowl slot on Fox, where it averaged 17.6 million
01:12viewers and a 6.1 rating among adults 18 to 49. However, the 12-episode series wrapped with
01:176.3 million total viewers and a 1.7 in the demo with seven days of DVR.
01:2324 fans, how do you feel about the possibility of another series joining the franchise?
01:28And will you miss Legacy? Let me know all your thoughts about it in the comments.
