'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' could very well live to see another day. Hours after the Andy Samberg-led comedy was cancelled at Fox after a five season run, multiple outlets expressed their interest in potentially picking up the show.

00:10Hours after the Andy Samberg-led comedy was canceled at Fox after a five-season run,
00:14multiple outlets expressed their interest in potentially picking up the show.
00:18Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Brooklyn Nine-Nine produces Universal Television
00:22have fielded incoming calls from other potential homes, including Hulu, Netflix, TBS and NBC.
00:28Sources note that the studio has plans to fight to revive the series at another outlet
00:32following the wave of support from critics and stars including Lin-Manuel Miranda
00:35and Mark Hamill, among countless others, although Universal Television declined comment.
00:40Hulu, where the show has a streaming deal, could be a natural home for the series
00:43and it has a history of giving new life to Fox UTV comedies after reviving
00:47The Mindy Project for a multiple-season run following its cancellation by Fox.
00:51Netflix could also make sense given that the streaming giant handed out a two-season order
00:55for the studio's unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt after NBC opted out of its initial straight-to-series
01:00order for the award-winning comedy. NBC would also be a smart fit for the popular
01:04Mike Schur and Dan Gore comedy. The network is currently home to Shores The Good Place
01:08and this week it handed out a series order to the prolific producers' comedy Abby's.
01:12Regardless of where it lands, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is likely seeing the benefits of a peak TV
01:16universe where it has become easier for a canceled series or passed-over pilot to find new life
01:20outside of the outlet for which it was developed. Last year, The CW's Insatiable found new life
01:25at Netflix and sources also say there has been discussion about Caitlin Olsen comedy
01:29The Mick finding a new home and likewise for Will Forte's The Last Man on Earth.
