00:00Dr. Shipp, the foot and mouth and lumpy skin disease are not in the headlines anymore.
00:04However, the risk has certainly not declined for Australia.
00:09Yeah, that's right. In fact, I would say that the risk has increased.
00:12In Australia, we have neighbours that have those diseases and they're very much on our doorstep.
00:19At the same time, trade has increased, our exposure has increased.
00:23And I think there's a real danger in Australia of becoming complacent and loss of awareness of that risk.
00:29We need to maintain awareness of the risk posed by these diseases to Australia's cattle industry and our economy.
