00:00If we look at the Middle East, Saudi Arabia's forecast to import 10 million live sheep in the next 12 months.
00:06We're seeing markets like Turkey open up, Israel is back and plenty of demand in North Africa.
00:13Bringing it back closer to home, Indonesia is really building on Australian live cattle and dairy cattle as well
00:19and some absolutely strong demand, so it's great.
00:22So we're definitely seeing good growth in beef consumption and this is on the back of rising income, growing population
00:30but also I think with the President's ambitious nutritious meals program, it's raised awareness about the importance of protein and good nutrition
00:40for people's growth and for their healthy mindset, diet, etc.
00:45I think beef is a very important component of that nutritional story and on the back of that nutritious meals program
00:54we want to make sure that Australian beef, whether it's locally slaughtered from feeder cattle in Australia
01:01or whatever it is supposed to be, is part of that nutritional story.
01:04I think the perception change has been slow and that's part of our problem, we haven't been bold enough telling our story
01:15we've got a terrific story to tell, but we've been slow to tell it.
01:20The research showing that there is a lot more trust out there is very positive though?
01:24Oh it certainly is, I think people are starting to look past the issues we've had in the past
01:33and we're doing some really good work now going ahead.
01:38Demand's quite strong just at the moment, it's been pretty quiet up until the last month
01:43we've probably got another month to run, hopefully another two months to run with live export.
01:48Doctor Ship, the good mouth and lumpy skin disease are not in the headlines anymore, however the risk has certainly not declined for Australia?
01:57Yeah that's right, in fact I would say that the risk has increased.
02:01In Australia we have neighbours that have those diseases and they're very much on our doorstep.
02:07At the same time trade has increased, our exposure has increased and I think there's a real danger in Australia
02:14of becoming complacent and loss of awareness of that risk.
02:17We need to maintain awareness of the risk posed by these diseases for Australia's cattle industry and our economy.
02:24luxury can be a qualité in the61Gs.
02:26We need to maintain awareness of this organisation.
02:28So I'm going to combine a little bit of rhetoric regarding this
