00:00Hello and welcome to this Queensland at Jane's Weather update for Monday.

00:04We're clear over the southeast. We've got a fair bit of activity just happening up in through here,

00:08thanks to the trough that is now running down through there.

00:10So clear over the southeast, but I want to drag your attention down into the southeast here.

00:15All of that speckled cloud, that is cold air.

00:18This system has some oomph behind it and it is going to work its way right up into southern Queensland.

00:23So let's watch that happen there.

00:25In terms of heatwave, it's now confined to these parts here.

00:28There is still extreme fire danger just on the southern side of the border there.

00:32Have you a look at day by day.

00:33So here we have Monday.

00:34We've got our trough running in through here.

00:36So it's only these parts that are seeing the wet weather.

00:38We're all dry in the southeast.

00:39Have you a look at, so here's by the end of Monday, you can see that blue that is there.

00:43Here is all the cold air that is coming through.

00:46We're not going to see the wet weather from that one, but we will feel not as hot and not as humid.

00:51So as we go through Tuesday, that's all moved away.

00:53There's no wet weather for the southeast and our wet weather is confined to the northern parts of Queensland.

00:58Have you a look at Wednesday.

00:59Things are looking good.

01:00Into Thursday, a slight hint of something here.

01:03It's nothing to be concerned by.

01:05Into Friday, the heat is starting to come back, but we're all dry across the southeast once again.

01:10And there's just this little activity up through here.

01:12Have you a look at Saturday.

01:13There is a bit of a cistern coming through.

01:15The purples and the reds, that's the heat all the way down into the southeast.

01:18And by Sunday, that's when we're likely to see some wet weather come back.

01:22Into Monday, that is lasting there too.

01:25So what is that going to add up to?

01:26Not a lot as that moves through later on in the week into the weekend.

01:29It's up in the north that we're seeing the wet weather.

01:31In the southeast, hardly anything at all.

01:34So have you a look at Brisbane.

01:35Let's first of all have a look at our dew point.

01:37Today, 13, 19.

01:3819 is pretty typical.

01:409 and then 4 as we go into tomorrow.

01:42That's that cold air from the southeast coming up, drying things out and making it feel a little bit different.

01:47Now, it's not going to have a major impact on the temperature.

01:50We're in the high 20s in through here, but overnight down to 15.

01:54So we're going to feel that in the air sometime pretty much all the way through.

01:57The next wet weather is likely to be on Sunday.

02:00So a very, very different week to what we saw last week.
