11:56one of the traditional ways of passing the time
11:58is to do a bit of exercise.

19:23minutes to collect them all okay when you get a star what does he do get it in your bag get it in your
19:29star bag only stars in that bag at the end of time will count every star you get is worth a meal for
19:35camp now you can stop the trial at any time by saying i'm a celebrity get me out of here if you can't
19:42speak if you get into trouble under the water give us this signal okay and you don't have to do it

34:37lisa you program sober or just cold turkey sober cold full cold turkey self-assessment and needed it
34:46more than anything good yeah yeah it's hard yeah but 10 years in now that's great what's that on the
34:53alcohol yeah saves everything oh yeah what was you a big drinker yeah crazy as an alcoholic on the verge of
34:59no but i think yeah three bottles of malbec every night because you you mentally i needed it like
35:07three bottles a night i'd argue that is probably alcoholic because you said yeah yeah definitely
35:10definitely qualify yeah yeah yeah but i um i've been in new york i've been to aa a lot like i love it
35:17i find i find the people just so interesting yeah now i feel like you would really get into it actually
35:22yeah um alcoholic anonymous yeah never in our country because i don't want all the
35:27i can imagine what it's like in our country actually from telling you from tell so no oh
35:32shit yeah you know i and then it starts spreading like that yeah of course yeah every time in new
35:38york it's it fascinates me it's a decision i made for many personal reasons for myself where i knew
35:45enough was enough and i had to take total control of that there was only me that could take control of
35:51my sobriety and the volume i was consuming to be honest it's only other people now even even to this
35:56day they go go on just have one have one go on peer pressure i don't want one i don't need i don't
36:02need a drink brits don't do well around people not drinking and everyone's drinking yeah like in the
36:08states everyone's like all right whatever but for some reason like it's just like well why aren't you
36:13yeah well what well what's wrong with you yeah i'm gonna have a drink yeah a lot of times i get called
36:17boring because i don't drink yeah but it's not like we need a drink do you know what i mean it's not like
36:20we're you know yeah we we have a personality without alcohol exactly does your partner drink
36:25lisa yeah yeah yeah so he still drinks yeah is that hard for you though no not at all i broke up with
36:31a girl because she drank too much white wine yeah and i couldn't take it in the morning it was just
36:34like yeah the morning smell after white wine when you're sober honest to god i wouldn't wish it on
36:38anyone but you can only smell it if you if you dry you know i'm really and actually enjoying the
36:43friendship with lisa i think she's an amazing woman and and she's got a heart as big as this jungle
36:50like this is a prime example of like you put a bunch of strangers and you know in a scenario
36:55together and you find that there's a lot more in common than not was it hard jack um you know
37:04it was it was hard stopping but once i'd stopped i really found um i really like enjoyed being sober
37:12like i found the fun in it yeah and then i was like oh okay like this is all good yeah you know the
37:17the hard thing with it is like addiction isn't just one thing right like addiction is a trauma
37:22response and so you often go the path of like least resistance to numb that yeah response yeah
37:28when my mum died it was it was the biggest plaster i could put on myself yeah is that why you started
37:31drinking so much oh yeah when when mum when mum i i genuinely could not cope and and having to work
37:39ginger like put that i'm okay turn the radio on everything's great but inside i was the biggest
37:44broken biscuit in the memory of man i mean and i'm not the sort of person that can be fake and turn
37:48that on it's not me and i got to the point where i couldn't close my mind off that constant suffocation
37:55and there's the wine literally suffocated everything yeah and bought and two packets of silk up

38:33resident of this parish boy george lisa doesn't he look a little like a really young boy george
38:41who is boy george you don't know boy george's culture club culture club very big 80s pop star
38:46he did this show the chameleon song yeah yeah that's him do you know who um the beatles are of
38:54course okay i just wondered do you know who hendrix is yeah jimmy hendrix right yeah yeah okay my uh my
39:00grandfather turned down management of the beatles no no yeah wow because he was a big record exec and his
39:07big thing was he brought um all the black musicians from america to england like little richard and who was
39:14yeah uh don arden but that would have been a healthy 20 percent the beatles but he wouldn't
39:19manage them because he only managed black artists and he's like he's like i'm not wasting my time
39:24with white rock and roll but he like massively regretted it obviously didn't your mom manage your
39:31dad yeah he got fired out of black sabbath and then she took over managing him like it's it's really
39:37kind of wild because in like a three-year period so he got fired did his own solo thing he released two
39:43albums bit the head off a dove bit the head off a bat pissed on the alamo um and then his and
39:48sadly randy rhodes the guitar player died in a plane crash all in three years and he had like two
39:53top 10 albums like yeah just like blew up but yeah it was uh kind of a wild thought of biting the
40:01head off that was just him just that was him in all his creativity yeah it was but it was a joke it
40:07was just a joke yeah and the dove thing happened because they went to the record label
40:11the story was that the record label wasn't going to put any marketing behind the record they didn't
40:16give a and so my mom was like hey come do a meet and greet with all the marketing execs and your a
40:22and r team and all that we're going to do something kind of like showy here's these doves put them in
40:29your jacket and when we go in there i want you to release the doves it's just kind of like hey i'm
40:33like this peaceful guy whatever so they do that and like the whole record company like oh it's so cute
40:39whatever well my dad was just shithouse drunk and he sits on the lap of this exec from cbs records
40:48this woman and she's kind of like awkward like oh my god he sat on my lap
40:53and this dove lands on it on her knee he grabs the dove bites its head off and spits it on her
41:01and it was just like pandemonium security comes in he gets kicked out and before they'd
41:08got to the hotel yeah it had gone everywhere all over the news that this had happened like they'd
41:14leaked it and then instantly his album like charted and like every radio station ever was playing so
41:19it's a brilliant thing yeah it's like jokes on them in it yeah yeah yeah it's it's it's pretty funny
41:24actually hearing jack talk about his dad makes me feel like because i was so apprehensive about
41:29asking him but that's what i want to know but he did it with such like um tenderness like this kid
41:35remembering his iconic dad so it was really you know what a what a gift to tell us you wouldn't be
41:41pc to eat a bat now my dad would have been cancelled a thousand times over if he was in that face yeah yeah

42:57yeah oh when i was probably filled from 14 15 really what was the last book you read david beckons
43:04football and academy no it would have been beast quest or something like that beast quest harry potter
43:10yeah i'm i'm dyslexic when i when i read all the ends of the words jumble around the letters jumble
43:16around yeah but you can get rid of this i mean can't you you can do audio book it yeah audio book it no
43:22mine is from uh an operation uh taking away brain tumor no oh wow a brain tumor i did have yeah 95 wow
43:32two brain tumors removed no two how did they find it i was uh i was making a show in canada and i was
43:42playing this professor so i go into makeup one day and i have to um put on this board cap and as they
43:50pulled it on i could hear the whole of the makeup wagon go quiet because you could see this lump on the
43:57back of my head um but it was skull it was bone so it stretched out and what it was was the tumor
44:05that was underneath it had been there for like about 12 years wow i had run out of space to grow
44:12in the little gap so it started to grow into the skull into the bone so it started to show itself as
44:18a lump and within two days i was back home having my head cut open wow it's lucky they thought found
44:27it what was really lucky is when um they scanned it they also found was one that was sitting right in
44:33the middle so if it wasn't for the big one on top that would have got me oh that was that was the
44:40dangerous one yeah yeah yeah the one in the middle was the dangerous one oh wow martin opening up about
44:46his brain tumor was quite jaw-dropping i think that took the whole camp back a little bit like
44:53we had no idea that that had happened what an incredible recovery he's made though wow so inspiring
45:01so they cut this one out and then they zapped me with uh stereotactic radiation did you lose memory
45:09or anything or for for a while i lost everything i couldn't walk i couldn't see in one eye uh i was a
45:15train wreck afterwards now i have a few little bits and pieces and one of them is dyslexia you mean
45:22you didn't have dyslexia before no it was tough it wasn't just tough for me it was tough for everyone
45:27around me yeah you know mom and dad were still around there and my brother and my wife and it's a
45:35terrifying thing to watch someone go through that one minute i was fitter and healthier than i've ever
45:41been in my life next minute uh i was yeah in a mess a wreck yeah it was like a bit like being in a car
45:48crash i thought i was dying uh and it was a tough one how old were you about 30 33 34. wow you're so
45:56young it took me a long time to recover your body and everything about you wants you to get back to
46:03normal you you want to get back to people not feeling sorry for you because you were sick but does it
46:08give you a new perspective it does for a short while but but not forever but yeah it was a test
46:16it was a test it was a test
46:25the charts this year great aren't they oh i mean four shows in i feel like i know some of this lot
46:30better than i know my own family it's true though isn't it yeah it is the vote for camp fright is now

47:25of crocodile meat never tried it won't mind trying it more so them two that attacked me the other day
47:32on the trial as a result of eddie winning six stars in today's trial you have oh
47:39oh what okay we've got eel gallia and green sapoti for dessert
47:54so just chop it into little chunks yeah but i think you might have to skin it
47:57okay so who's on cooking dude me me and martin i can't guarantee it'll be delicious but it will be
48:11cooked and it'll be fine i do love to cook don't get me wrong i love to cook but when i sat down and
48:16looked at that eel head i realized the whole thing needed skin in it had fins it had teeth it had eyes
48:23would you like me to cut up the fish yes come on jack okay i saw jack's eyes light up like it was
48:32like christmas to jack and he came running over and was like elbow me out the way to get to this fish
48:38like like a caveman and i was like oh and i was like no i'm gonna do it do you want me to fill it

48:49yeah okay no if you want to do it i don't mind if you want you do it no you fill it and i'll cook it
48:58it no you do it okay you do it oh my god it's got a womb i mean why is this my night oh my i did say
