The actress and mogul became the first black woman — and the 15th woman overall — to be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

00:08Oprah Winfrey made history Sunday at the 75th annual Golden Globes and spoke about a time in the future where she hoped women will never have to say Me Too again.
00:17Following Reese Witherspoon's introduction in which he suggested Winfrey's hugs could solve world peace, the entertainment mogul accepted the annual Cecil B. DeMille Award.
00:26She became the first black woman and the 15th woman overall to receive the honor since it was first handed out in 1952.
00:34After a standing ovation, she talked about being a little girl in 1964, watching Sidney Poitier win Best Actor at the 36th annual Academy Awards.
00:43He then became the first black man to win the annual DeMille Award in 1982.
00:48There are some little girls watching as I become the first black woman to be given the same award.
00:55Turning to the sexual harassment prevention initiative Time's Up, Winfrey explained that their fight transcends Hollywood, saying,
01:03I want tonight to express gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault because they, like my mother, had children to feed and bills to pay and dreams to pursue.
01:14To loud cheers, she continued saying this.
01:16Women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men, but their time is up.
