Another Jennifer Aniston project is heading to Netflix as the streaming service has picked up comedic drama 'Dumplin’' starring the former 'Friends star' and 'Patti Cakes$' star Danielle Macdonald.

00:04comedic drama Dumplin, starring the former Friends star and Patty Cake star Danielle McDonald.
00:09Ann Fletcher, who helmed The Proposal, directed the feature film in which music is a prominent
00:13factor, with Dolly Parton recording new versions of her classic songs with collaborators such as
00:18Sia and Miranda Lambert, in addition to six new original songs co-written by Parton and Linda
00:23Perry. The film will be released later this year on Netflix in the U.S. and select international
00:27territories, as well as select U.S. theaters. The debut musical number Here I Am, a reworking of
00:32Parton's 1971 song, will be released September 14. Dumplin is the plus-sized teenage daughter of a
00:38former beauty queen who signs up for her mom's pageant as a protest that escalates when other
00:43contestants follow in her footsteps, revolutionizing the pageant and their small Texas town.
00:48Aniston will also serve as executive producer on the film, which is an adaptation of Julie
00:52Murphy's New York Times best-selling novel. In addition to Sia and Lambert, artists involved
00:56with the original motion picture soundtrack include Alison Krauss, Elle King, Mavis Staples,
01:01and Ronda Vincent, among others. Aniston and McDonald also collaborate on tracks.
01:06Aniston will also appear on the streaming giant in a political comedy called First Ladies, which
01:11sees the Horrible Bosses star play the first female president of the United States,
01:15and Tignataro as the First Lady, though no premiere date has been announced. She is also
01:20set to reunite with her Just Go With It co-star Adam Sandler in Netflix's Murder Mystery.
