Netflix just announced a release date and a first look at 'Squid Game' season three. During the streamer's major slate presentation, Next on Netflix, the streamer announced that the mega-hit Korean-language drama and Netflix's most popular series is slated to return for its final installment on June 27th.

00:27The series earned the highest single-week viewing tally for any streaming title in the U.S. in 2024,
00:33with 4.92 billion minutes of viewing for the week of December 23rd through the 29th.
00:39Picking up straight after Season 2's cliffhanger, the final season, according to a synopsis,
00:43follows Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, after losing his best friend in the game
00:47and being driven to utter despair by the frontman, played by Lee Byung-hun,
00:51who was hiding his true identity to infiltrate the game.
00:54Gi-hun persists with his goal to put an end to the game,
00:57while the frontman continues on to his next move,
01:00and the surviving player's choices will lead to graver consequences with each round.
01:05Netflix also released a Season 3 poster,
01:08along with a set of first-look photos that paints a picture
01:10and hints at what's to come in the season ahead.
