The long-running ABC reality series is breaking protocol to follow Underwood behind the scenes. Here, he explains how he "challenged the production of the show."

00:06You've got to be kidding me.
00:09Monday's episode of The Bachelor was a pageant queen showdown between former Miss Alabama
00:14Hannah B. and former Miss North Carolina Kaelin.
00:17But is Colton even ready for an engagement?
00:20THR was there on set for the pirate-themed date and Colton told us where his heart lies
00:24at this point in his journey.
00:26But first, we've got to talk about Hannah B. and Kaelin.
00:29Now, these two were roommates at the Miss USA competition but now are not friends and likely
00:34answered all the Bachelor producers' prayers when they joined the show.
00:37It's not easy to see Kaelin continue moving forward with Colton.
00:41It brings out all of my insecurities and I start to spiral.
00:44Now, there are 51 girls who compete for Miss USA and these two just happen to be roommates?
00:50And you only get one roommate and they're both on The Bachelor this season?
00:53Talk about a coincidence.
00:54Meanwhile, Demi continued to audition for Bachelor in Paradise.
00:57I know that I have not done anything wrong.
00:59So is Colton ready to propose in the end?
01:01Here's what he told us back at this point in the competition.
01:04It just depends on where the relationship's at and where the feelings are down the road.
01:08I can't project what's going to happen in the future, but I can tell you how hopeful I am.
01:13I know this is working already because I have some great connections already.
01:17It gets me very excited even talking about this because the possibility of this ending in an engagement is so real.
01:23Unlike the recent stars before him, Colton has not revealed whether or not he's currently engaged.
01:28Next week, the pageant saga continues to unfold when Colton and the ladies head off to Singapore.
01:32The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
