00:07The season 3 finale of Riverdale left us fans with our jaws on the floor,

00:11making us wonder what the heck is going to happen senior year.

00:14Creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa spoke with The Hollywood Reporter

00:17about the unspeakable crime teased in that final five minutes,

00:21as well as how the show will address Fred Andrews' fate,

00:24following actor Luke Perry's death earlier this year.

00:26So if you're not caught up on this show, warning, major spoilers ahead.

00:29First, let's quickly break down the finale, shall we?

00:31It turned out the Gargoyle King was Chick,

00:33pretending to be Cheryl's dead brother Jason,

00:35who had been spared by the Black Hood to become his accomplice,

00:38and they were both working for Penelope Blossom.

00:41Follow that?

00:42But the craziest revelation may have been that Alice wasn't a kooky farmer after all

00:46and had been working as an FBI informant this whole time.

00:49Mind blown.

00:51But honestly, thank God.

00:52We will ascend without her.

00:59However, Alice and the rest of the farmies, aside from Kevin, are now missing after they supposedly ascended.

01:06And the episode ended with a flash-forward to the gang's senior year spring break

01:10that showed Betty, Archie, and Veronica covered in blood,

01:14standing around a fire in their underwear, burning Jughead's beanie,

01:17with the other half of Bughead instructing Varchie to never speak of it ever again.
