00:00And the Communist Party of Uruguay issued a statement rejecting the United States military deployment in the Caribbean, describing it as a threat to regional peace.
00:08In a statement, the Communist Party asserted that U.S. President Donald Trump unilaterally declared the airspace of the Bolivar Republic of Venezuela completely closed.
00:17This illegal and irresponsible decision further exacerbates tensions in the Caribbean, where the U.S. has deployed a military force of enormous destructive power, including the world's largest aircraft carrier, the nuclear-powered USS Gerald Ford.
00:31Trump also authorized the CIA to carry out covert actions within Venezuelan territory.
00:35They also continued to express that under the pretext of combating drug trafficking, the U.S. killed dozens of people without any evidence near the coast of Venezuela, in the Caribbean, and Colombia, in the Pacific.
00:49The excuse of combating drug trafficking falls apart when Trump himself and his top military and diplomatic leaders publicly acknowledge that they want to overthrow the Venezuelan government, and U.S. congressmen openly talk about the need to take Venezuelan oil.
01:02The statement concluded by emphasizing that, from our anti-imperialist standpoint, we reject the threats and aggression against Venezuela, Colombia, and Cuba, and denounce the enormous risks to peace throughout the region.
01:16Latin America and Korea must be a continent of peace.
01:18We demand respect for the sovereignty and self-determination of our peoples.
01:22We call on all popular organizations to be alert and ready to take the necessary solidity actions when required.
