00:13centers and various locations across the island to personally deliver the supplies, a gesture
00:19that turned Solidarity into tangible and direct action. The motto that guided the journey is the
00:24same one that has been repeated since the Trump administration with Secretary of State Marco
00:28Rubio as its main promoter began escalating the siege against the island. The humanitarian
00:33convoy, in addition to providing tangible Solidarity, showcases to the world the global networks
00:38of cooperation that challenge the hegemonic narrative and strengthen the bonds between
00:42peoples fighting for their sovereignty and dignity.
00:52And the Legislative Assembly of the State of Sao Paulo in Brazil has become a forum for
00:57defending Cuba's sovereignty. The meeting convened by Congressman Paulo Friorillo of the Workers'
01:02Party brought together a wide range of Brazilian C1 political representatives. The debate included
01:08the participation of diplomatic representatives from Cuba and the recognized Brazilian writer
01:13Fernando Moraes. The meeting served as a platform to unite voices calling for an end to the unilateral
01:19curve measures that Washington has maintained against the island for more than six decades.
01:32And in Uruguay, Sons of Uruguayan Exiles, who lived in Cuba during the Uruguayan military dictatorship,
01:37organized a Solidarity event with the island in Montevideo. In this regard, the event took place last
01:43Monday at the University of the Republic. This initiative seeks to thank the Cuban people
01:48for their hospitality during the years of exile and to denounce the blockade against the Caribbean
01:53nation. Likewise, from Uruguay, voices of solidarity with Cuba are growing and the blockade imposed by
01:59the United States was condemned. Its support joins the global campaign demanding that Washington
02:04and its hostile policy toward peoples who defend their sovereignty.
