00:00In the framework of this international support to Venezuela, in Uruguay, social movements

00:08and political forces condemned the attacks carried out by the United States against Venezuela.

00:14Social movements and political forces joined the mobilizations rejecting the U.S. aggression

00:19against Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro, along with first combatants

00:24in Celia Flores. They also condemned the aggressions against the Venezuelan people and the military

00:30bases. Social movements urged respect for international law and Venezuela's sovereignty.

00:47Well, first of all, there is enormous concern, not only about what is happening in Venezuela,

00:53but also about the subsequent consequences, this will surely have for the Venezuelan people

00:58themselves, for ordinary people in the streets, because the costs are always borne by civilians

01:04who are not military, and that is what worries us most. In addition, knowing that for Uruguay

01:10it will be a difficult stage in 2026, since we will preside over nothing less than CELAC

01:16plus G77, plus China, I believe this presents a very complex political scenario for a country

01:23that has experienced ups and downs in national policy. And with respect to Venezuela, I believe

01:29that anyone who does not understand that they are coming for all of us in Latin America, has

01:34not understood the historic moment we are living in the world. Well, beyond knowing the savagery that

01:46the US government has against the peoples of the world, we were distressed by the images we saw,

01:51but we are also strong and convinced that the Latin American people will rise up and resist this

01:56together with the Venezuelan people, for the sovereignty and peace of our continent. That is why we are here

02:02at the Venezuelan Embassy, coordinating a space of solidarity with Venezuela.

02:09The empire has become more aggressive with its periphery, and therefore it intensifies in a brutal way,

02:19in some manner consolidating the pulverization of the rules-based world.

02:31The rules-based world was mortally wounded after the genocide in Gaza. This action against Latin America

02:37is an aggression that also puts most of the country's ambassadors in check. In Mexico, there is a marine

02:43who quickly identifies the danger that Mexico represents today, with respect to the new excursion

02:49to appropriate the central geopolitical space for the empire's interests, which is drug trafficking.

02:55There is no possibility of being contingent I believe that the contingent must be one of rejection,

03:00condemnation, solidarity, and the actions of today's inter-social mobilizations convening in the place.

03:06This mobilization must be the beginning of a series of mobilizations in defense of peace, which is the only way

03:21to be consistent in the defense of anti-imperialist peace.
