Shawn Levy, the prolific director and producer behind Free Guy and Stranger Things, is headed to the Star Wars galaxy. The filmmaker is developing a feature for Lucasfilm and possibly to direct.

00:03The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the prolific director and producer behind Free Guy and Stranger Things
00:09is developing a Star Wars feature for Lucasfilm, possibly to direct.
00:13It's unclear when this project could happen, as Levy currently has a full plate.
00:17He's on board to direct the upcoming third Deadpool movie for Marvel Studios, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman,
00:24which is set to be released on November 8th, 2024.
00:26As a producer, he also has the final episodes of Stranger Things coming up,
00:31with Season 5 in the writing stage at this point and without a set release date.
00:35Levy's Star Wars project joins a number of possible films in the works at Lucasfilm,
00:40including movies from Taika Waititi and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, among others.
00:45On the TV side, Lucasfilm has a full docket of upcoming projects with Andor currently streaming.

00:58Meanwhile, The Acolyte began production this week.
