00:09finale. Yes, we're talking about David Harbour's police chief Jim Hopper, who was

00:13presumed dead at the end of season 3 of the Netflix hit, but fans somehow weren't

00:18buying it. Well, speculate no more the creators of the show, the Duffer brothers

00:21have publicly confirmed the news themselves, and we can officially say that Hopper

00:25is returning for season 4.

00:30Matt and Ross Duffer revealed in a message written to fans saying,

00:33We're excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway,

00:38and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper.

00:41As part of the announcement, Netflix has released the first official footage from

00:45Stranger Things season 4 called From Russia With Love, featuring a new look for Hopper,

00:50and it's a little different look.

00:52The Duffer brothers also gave some more background as to what exactly Hopper is up to,

00:56explaining in part,

00:57It's not all good news for our American.

00:59He's imprisoned far from home where he will face dangers both human and other.
